Hey all! =)
I'm new to the forum but I've been visiting this site for some time now... And it is really cool!
Now, I was wondering, Phil, what ever happened to your Battletoads timeattack? =P I've watched all your movie and they're all impressive (really enjoyed Double Dragon series! Used to play those games so much when I was younger.) and I was looking forward to Battletoads. Anyway... I'm just asking.
thanks,
Don't know if you already found this page or if it's any help: http://www.zelda.com/universe/walkthrough_z1.html#2
Btw: isn't there 3 quests in the legend of zelda? IIRC there's a third quest before u start allover again...
The Doom speed-running community uses the term TASdemo (Tool-Assisted Speed demo) for "fake/timeattack" runs of Doom. Same goes for the Quake speedrunning community.
To begin with I myself didn't know the difference between timeattacks and speedruns. At first I thought it was the same thing, only some ppl called it timeattacks and others called it speedruns. =/
I first saw that left-right shaking on smb2 and thought is there some kind of bug or error happened in the encoding process :) I didn't understand the meaning at all and didn't know it was meant to look cool. To me it looked like retarded :P
I never said an emu removes digitalness.
But if you tap down just a little with that many speed upgrades your ship moves a lot more than in a slowed emu-version.
But I don t find that movie amusing that s what i said. I like movies that are fun to watch and if you think it s fun to watch a guy picking up speed upgrades then you are free to do so.
And if you think someone can play like that it s your opinion. I have played gradius a lot and you cannot survive with that many speed upgrades on the nes because of the digital controller. It would be possible if you had an analog stick but no that movie is impossible to perform on an actual nes. I can make a movie to try if you want hehe.
I think Fileplanet sucks, it's nice of them to host files but all that advertising and waiting and needing to register for gamespam-mail sucks.
I don't know what would better describe it, nice-suck or suck-nice... =/
No no no THE Gradius 2 not Life force salamander.
Haven t you tried Gradius 2 then you should.
And if you play it a little you will see that the graphics and the music surpass almost all nesgames.
please answer which game movie you like most
Ok
At least I came up with a game that is awsome to play and to watch even though it scrolls by itself.
It is Gradius 2. Admit that it is a very nice game and that it would be nice to have a movie from it.
My favorite movie so far is Castlevania 3 and I wonder which one you think is the best?
I am a gamer and i think most of the movies i ve seen could be completed without emulators. I know because i have played since i was a child. I think your movies are excellent and make people strive for perfection even if they don t know what methods are used. The only movie that i didn t like was morimoto's speed upgrade gradius because you could tell it was fake and it wasn t fun to watch.
I also have a question
I like balloon fight and the older games like clu clu land and donkey kong 3 a lot and I wonder if you would you be interested in movies of thoose older hard games? Maybe fastest time to get the score-counter reset.
Continue your good work.
Ok, I clicked the link/links and I don't get it...
My english isn't what it should be unfortunatly. =(
If someone would care to explain to me:
Why would BitTorrent become illegal?
Please don't use to many big words, I don't english good speak.
I know... =(
The tracker I used was attacked and the owner shut it down.
However, it can be found here nowadays: http://www.gamershell.com/download_5369.shtml
Have also seen it a couple of times on kazaa and direct connect.
Let me know if theres any trouble getting ur hands on it. In that case we'll arrange something like I send it to u over ICQ or sumfin.
Doesn't Jaffar has more hit points in the PC version?
I mean, he has less life then some guards, I thought he had the most..7 or 8 hp's.
I can be wrong though.
Here's a few two player NES games that I came up with (probably mentioned to death elsewhere)
TMNT2: The Arcade Game (would be too long I believe)
River City Ransom (could try to beat the single player time mark, or set a two player mark)
Battletoads (might be too long, athough there are warps)
Battletoads and Double Dragon (?)
Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers 2
Bad Dudes
Chip and Dales 2 can be almost like the first, in which Chip or Dale can be carried around. The easier one, or the one that might be the easiest to do, would probably be River City Ransom, and Battletoads might be the hardest one there. In terms of entertainment, RCR might have an edge because it's a short game to begin with, so movie length being too long may not be an issue. I dunno really. I just like watching them :)
That Double Dragon 2 vid was a lot of fun to watch. It looked robotic sometimes, but overall it was one of the most enjoyable vids I have seen thus far.
The Batman run was a lot more entertaining then I thought it would be. Even the long upward jumping sequences were pretty entertaining to watch. Looking forward to advancements towards this one.
