I'm using a PS2 Keyboard and a GamePort Joypad... Maybe using a USB joypad will solve the problem... Hmmm... I'll do some tests tonight with both USB joypad and keyboard at the same time... 2 keyboards wouldn't solve the problem, because my brother sucks with a keyboard! So I have to find a way to make a joypad AND a keyboard work in 2 players mode!!! The only thing I wanna know: Is there a way to repair my .fmv so that player 2 becomes active...?

I don't know if I'm the only one that knows this TV Show (made into a NES game). In a nutshell, it's a green rabbit with his friends in a spaceship... Anyways, the game is very interesting, packed with action. As you free your crew members, you can switch the "active" member anytime by pressing Select. Each crew member has its power and weakness. You must use them all wisely, so there's a little place for strategy. Awesome game, one of my favorite NES Action game. (WIP)

One thing: I finished this game more than once, but still... It's not the kind of game that you remember so easily... Some planning will be required... Good luck with this one!!! It'll be most entertaining!!

Woot!! Thanks a lot!! BTW, I retried with both keyboard and joypad, I made tests on both players (Keyboard on 1, Joypad on 2 and Joypad on 1, Keyboard on 2) but again, only the player using the keybord works.... I need to find a way to make my joypad "recordable", cause 2 players/brothers on one keyboard is rough.......

The player 2 was playing with a controller, a joypad if you prefer. We can't play both on the same keyboard, it would be impossible to make all the cool moves we made... The only problem is that I don't want to live another 2 hours of fights with my brother. It's like: "NO you f*ckhead!! You kill THAT guy!!" Oh well, I guess I'll have to endure him again, only if there's a way to record joypad motions. Btw, speaking of "pausing" and "resuming" production, is there a way to stop recording, close Famtasia, come back later, re-open Famtasia, then continue my .fmv? I'm working on Bucky O'Hare, and I need to take a break...

Hmmmm... I SAID that I activated them. Right before recording, it says: Record Data, and you can click player 1 and 2. I did that. I also tried to make a short movie right before making the big one, and it worked. But on the big one, that's another story. BTW, I'm using Famtasia, not VirtuaNES

Hi! My brother and I just finished a speed run of Snow Bros. We clicked on both Controllers in Record Data. We did the whole thing, took about 2 hours. When we tried to watch it: the player 2 wasn't moving!!!!! I really don't understand what happened... Maybe it's because one player used the keyboard and the other one used a controller??? Anyways, please answer me... I hope that there's a way to recover the "lost" player 2.... Thanks!!

Do a 2-player version of it and it might become :) (Yes, it is really hard and time consuming)
What you are talking about by saying "two-player video"... the two players play alternatively on this game so I just don't see the interest of that thing...

I have made my first video today... I tried on Mario Bros 1 and I made a 5.14 run in order to be familiar with famtasia... I don't know if I will do a really good video one day, but I think I'll try it... http://membres.lycos.fr/aylith/hpbimg/Time%20Attack/Mario1_Mr.D-5.14.fmv

Last time I checked you can't carry items via doors in that game...
I tried it yesterday and it is possible... I made it on my NES game, PAL version and in Mario All-Star SNES Rom... it is possible... maybe jumping over the hole carrying the key is not doable fast with Peach but with Luigi I think it's ok...

I think that collecting the key in the jar before jumping over the hole in world 1-2, and then kill the Birdo with the key may be faster than simply wait for the egg... Introduice this tech may gain a few second for the total time, and add a new cool stuf in the video...

One thing that you could do, which to me seemes much less complicated, is have a txt file with logs of the video. Kinda like: ... 01:43; I attempt to jump over a gap 01:44; I failed jumping over a gap 01:45; (Out of picture) I make obscene gesture towards the screen ... Of course logging things/actions of more significant value. Then the user can easily pause or go back or fast forward on his player to the given time.

i dont know if anyones thought of it, but, if perhaps the creator of a video wanted to append text to certain parts of videos, to describe anything about that part or make references etc. maybe instead of simply inserting text into the video, they could implement subtitles. just putting the text in the video might take away from the esthetic "art" of the video... so , a subtitle could be used instead. the subtitle of course would not be for everyone. it could be for the especially hardcore people people who wanted more than to just watch the 'art'.. and made available as a seperate download (so one .avi and one subtitle file). creating these subtitles for videos would be additional work, but it would be, in my opinion well worth it. perhaps the amount of videos with subtitles could have a priority (maybe only very excellent videos made which aren't that likely to be beaten easily) one problem might be the fact that in many of these games the screen is moving so rapidly it will take a few seconds for the person watching to read the subs and the scene they wanted to describe had ended. possible solutions might be starting to describe what is going to happen in frames before it happens, or it could be as simple as having the viewer pause the video . i dont know what everyone thinks of this idea... it seems interesting to me, it would be a lot more work than just encoding videos, but for the best of the best it would be very interesting to see the authors comments (if they should want to do something like this in the first place)

I don't like WMV's, ASF's or any of those Microsoft's video/sound formats.. I prefer DivX and Xvid over those anytime

Or how 'bout GunSmoke?
Big problem with Gun.Smoke (don't forget the period); it's auto scrolling. Takes a lot of "oomph" out of a time attack. Not that a no-hit, excellent marksman video wouldn't be cool.
Right! Forgot it was auto-scrolling... =/ Ok, I don't wanna swear in church but how 'bout a timeattack on Sonic?

my movies work, flawlessly except for one problem... they're nothing like a time attack at all, they're nothing but mindless pressing of random buttons that make close to no sense. i believe there to be an explaination for this, my key configuration doesn't match that of the person who recorded that. i'd like to know how to retrieve the button config. of the author who recorded the movie so the videos aren't just, mindless button mashing garbage. Any way to do this?
