As I said, I jus got the impression that you didn't know this, I apoligize if I missunderstood your post. But maybe Walker's run could be improved? Do you know anything that can be improved in your run, Walker Boh?
Not really. But I will play around with it more when I find the time for it.

I sure hope you finish this Kaz. I don't remember much of the game in detail but I have played it through a couple of times when I was younger and I remember it as one really great game. Keep up the good work!

In my opinion the metal hat-switch should be pressed, even if you don't use it anywhere.

I hope I understand the topic right, but when playing on console it says in the manual that you should NOT tilt the stick before turning on the console, because that could alter the reset state of the stick. I've actuually never tried this myself but if I understood it right it's possible to affect the rate of how much one can tilt the stick on a console, without modifying anything.

When fighting computers battlecruisers are awesome for slaughtering bases and units fast. They have the disadvantage that they are slow to get though, and you'll need quite many to make heavy damage. So my guess is, without having watched your replay, that battlecruisers are slower than tanks/goliaths/whatever in most situations because it takes to long to get many of them. They are still great though but they should be made in late-game in my opinion.

Oh. A few weeks ago when BisqBot tried to warp to Castlevania I tried to mail David Wonn, with the proper subject in the mail. I still haven't got any answer. Perhaps he's just a busy man but it would be really nice if someone could confirm that this warp-trick works.

In DDD you'll have to get the red coins (and 100 star coin) without using the poles, and the poles don't need to be there :p
Awesome. I've actually never fooled around in this level with Bowsers submarine still there, so I've never noticed if the coins were there or not. So that's great news!

However, there is one thing I'm curious about.. How does the 'water receding' on Dire Dire Docks work? Is it possible to grab all the Dire Dire Docks stars first, getting the Board Bowser's Sub star last, then watch as the water recedes and then do Bowser 2? Sure it may not really be much faster (maybe saves you the 2 seconds or so it takes to leap over the Bowser 2 hole to get to the receded DDD entrance), but it should look fairly interesting when doing the final run..
That's an interesting idea. I don't think you can grab all stars this way because you need to get the red coins to show up, or are they there from the start but without poles? Anyway, boarding Bowsers submarine as late as possible could be a good idea then perhaps?

Another thing is that I heard from Michael Fried that KTQ doesnt always take the same amount of time to complete his course. I don't know any of the specifics of this, but you may want to look into this. It is possible that the racing AI is similar to many games, where the computer slows down when you are far behind and speeds up when you are far ahead.
I'm not sure if I understood you right here but I'll try anyway. If you mean the Princess Secret Slide one of the stars should be taken as fast as possibe and the second one should be taken with just the right amount time to not trigger the secret star to appear again (or for the first time) to avoid unnecessary waiting. Even if that wasn't what you meant (sorry if so) I thought it was a good idea to say it so one wouldn't miss it later ;)
he meant racing koopa the quick star. but about the princess slide, i can get there at least in 12,4. but in order to make the star not appear, would have to get there at 20 or so (i don't remember well). so its not worth it to delay so much
Aha. Koopa The Quick. And Aha! I didn't know that one could do it that fast! Awesome. Well, ignore my previous post then I suppose.

Aha. Hmm. Well, to make it look less wasting running space in the main hall the route could perhaps be changed to: 1. JRB (8 stars with the secret one) 2. Exit with the pause trick, do CCL 3. Get one star from Princess Secret Slide 4. Do Whomp's Fortress 5. Get the second star from Princess Secret Slide 6. Get the red hat and the star in there 7. Do Bomb-Omb Battlefield 8. Spank Bowser What do you guys think? Perhaps doing CCL as the second world will waste a few frames compared to the the Princess Secret Slide there instead?

Did you compare it with going to Princess Secret Slide?

i don't think the door opening animation is THAT slow, so i'll test both but i think that exiting through the wall in JRB should be like this: - JRB exit -> slide -> whomp's fortress -> slide -> cool-cool mountain hmm doesn't seem to make any difference, but at least it doesnt show the same level twice in a row
I don't think the door animation is that slow either. And by doing this: "- JRB exit -> slide -> whomp's fortress -> slide -> cool-cool mountain" one should eliminate running back n forth. Why? Because after finishining the Princess Secret Slide you are set back to the main lobby, right?

One question, though, why not wait until after you've compelted Big Boo's Haunted Mansion to stomp the pillars? That way you can do them and go outside to the Vanish Cap all at once? Plus, I think you only need 12 (?) Stars to open Big Boo's level, so maybe you can do that before going into the Basement? It's been awhile since I've played all the way through the game myself, though, so maybe some of my guesses are wrong...
I don't know if I understood your question right, but the point to do this level last is that you need the blue hat for this level. Unless, of course, there is a way to glitch through the painting which holds the secret room with the big eye.

Finally!!! edit: oops! i just did JRB's 8 stars and it didn't bring me to the lobby... lol that sucks i had to either re-enter JRB or open the door using the stars :P anwyay it is a 10 minutes long movie here: http://www.angelfire.com/ex/uobt/sm64-foda-120stars-test6.zip
Awesome Foda that you managed to do it. Then the route should be good as it is. And exiting the Jolly Roger Bay-room via the star door should be the best option I guess, since then you are close to the Princess Secret Slide. So get 1 star from there and then head for Whomp's Fortress. I'm starting to get really excited about this now ;)

That's awesome news. I vote for this being used when getting the underwater-button-star because it should look cool. And then one can forget about my mumbling about possible walking underwater without the metal hat aswell.

That could be a good idea, but that requires Mario to reenter Jolly Roger Bay again? On the positive side I guess you can skip the door animation and the door to Whomp's Fortress is near. On the bad side, besides having to enter Jolly Roger Bay again, you are farther from the Princess Secret Slide. I don't know either what's best.

From Gamefaqs: "Highlight ''Exit'' on the option screen with controller one. Hold L + Start on controller two and press Start on controller one." My vote goes for using this level code to get to the second last level, spank that evil boss at the top and start over, getting the bracelet at some point and then beat the game! Awesome that someone finally makes this run! I've wanted to see this done this was for quite some time now. I wish you good luck!

But it sure is cool! And it made me smile when I saw it at a few places. I think one of them was to enter the Hazy Maze Cave after getting the star from Toad. Awesome!

Aha. I hope you manage to pull it off. Else I think one must visit Bomb-Omb Battlefield twice in order to get all stars.
