I'm pretty sure that GC games won't run at 60fps with those specs. Not the good looking ones at least.

I expected an encode, but I guess that joke has run dry by now so I will stick with the question "why is the last death faster?" EDIT: so much for not reading

Remember to watch the run before voting. How many of you voters actually watched it to the end (considering it's been up for 5 hours) :P

Thx for the encode, anyway not a bad run, not a great run, just good. But considering the game I can't see it being much better.

It sounded better than it was, still worth TASing though

I'm starting to get the feeling that the whole run will consist of more bomb hovering and jumping than actual walking.

Inte Core 2 Duo E4600 2.4ghz 3.25gb ram (32 bit) ATI Radeon HD 3800 svn build 2536 Sonic Unleached crashes randomly and Zelda TP has no sound :(. edit: just for fun, the image is without dual core checked if you wonder why the fps is so low.

Windows XP mainstream support ends on 14 April 2009. After that it switches to extended support for a few years. Windows 7 is just slightly slower than XP so I'm switching to Windows 7 completely when it comes out. Vista just plain sucks to much.

Much of the problems with Vista is fixed in Windows 7. I'm using the beta right now and it's much faster (for me anyway). The only problem is that the sidebar still takes 5-10 sec to load every time I start Windows (I removed it).

Work on Megamix has resumed (see http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=14121) so if you ARE gonna keep at it, nitsuja, I'd suggest you wait for the next release due to some of the bugs in 4.0b.
The next release will probably not come in a long time. You know what I mean if you read Stealth's post:
There will be no further demos, or even "private" beta-tests. Fact is, Megamix was supposed to end development with "version 4" (at a later point in time), until this mess happened. There is no way we can possibly make another non-final release and keep it substantially fresh. Trust me - you'll thank us when you have much more to play with all at once than one level at the end of the game and a couple of menu text changes
I just noticed a discussion about savestates getting disabled. Will this effect TASing of this game?

I truly enjoyed the earlier run you made of this game and this one is almost better. I give it a 10 on entertainment.

And then when I downloaded the 32bit version I get all these DLL plugin errors. I tried to load Twilight Princess (the Gc version) and Metroid Prime 3 into my CD drive but my computer doesn't seem to read them.
Google the dll files and download them from the internet. You can get them from http://www.dll-files.com/

How come the old version is called: "darkcastle-tasv5-aqfaq,stanski.avi" And the new version: "darkcastle-tasv2-aqfaq,stanski.mkv" That doesn't make any sense at all...

In what way is it less good than the version before it. I haven't really noticed any big differences from version to version.

I didn't know you could do that with Mupen or any other n64 emulator.

Thanks for the credit, but I didn't actually do anything :P As for the run, I can't realy say anything about the technical stuff (only made 1 TAS movie ever) but I give it a 7 in entertainment.
