Yeah you're correct Wouter, Simon told me yesterday that he had successfully done the door warp on egypt to get 42 on agent. Condering 00A requires a worse shot on last baron, end time should be 43 or possibly 42. Surface coming up next and my estimation appears to be pretty bad too :P simon already did 1:46 so at least a 2 sec cut will be done here.

Yeah that's another option SL, though isn't there a nice estetical touch to ending the movie at the credits? Also i think it'd be pretty cool seeing button codes entered within a second :P Guess further discussion on ending will be done as that moment approaches. For now i'll just continue as planned. Gonna startup Runway now, My knowledge of this level is extremely limited so it could take a while to master.

Problem with pressing B is that i will never reach the credits unless i play cradle again, so button codes would be preferred, but yeah, i'll try to include them if i ever get that far(I tend to loose motivation quickly, though this time i have experience of every level in the game and previous TAS'es to help me so it might be easier). Anyway here's some estimations: Runway - Prolly 35 again, seems good. Surface - Very hard to improve as well, maybe a second faster. Bunker - Think Simon already cut a second here, 2.3 will allow open doors in beginning saving even more. Silo - A second or two max, not sure how much is possible, RT's run was good. Frigate - I'll try really hard to manipulate this perfectly, so 10'ish seconds. Surface2 - 3rd camera can gain a few seconds by shooting through woods, simon already did this. Bunker2 - A second or two has already been done so that's what i'll aim for. Statue - Think i already did a second faster here, maybe another sec is possible. Archives - My 52 TAS is probably the best TAS ever done in this game, gonna be hard to do again but i'll try. Streets - 1:54 is great, depends on decimal if 1:53 can be done. Depot - 2.3 is a major advantage here, 3-4 seconds possibly. Train - Not sure here, a second or two maybe. Jungle - A second? Control - If i remember correctly this is improvable by a few secs as well(2.3 allows for open elevator door too). Caverns - Beginning can be faster, so 2 secs perhaps. Also 2.3 advantage. Cradle - 33. Aztec - Already did 1:29, just gonna do it again. Egypt - Also did this already, 44.

A little progress report here. First i tried taking advantage of the 2.3 glitch luring a guard to open first few doors for me, a little faster in mission time but it was a significant loss in real time so i decided to skip that. Now for the last few days i've been trying to manipulate a good Doak again which was harder than usual but today i finally nailed it. So hard part done, only rest of the level to go.

Amazing "extreme jump" and super high flying. Guess bouncing during BLJ has more advantages than just funny animations. Great job. Curious, is the speed while flying downwards limited? Otherwise, what would happen if you tried to fly into the blue cap level while water not yet gone? I know high speed water entrances has been discussed before just don't seem to remember an answer to this specific case?

1: For the moment by myself, haven't spoken to RT yet but if he's interrested in joining then that'd would be awesome. 2: 2 seconds, it's now 1:47. 3: Kinda lost motivation, not the funniest levels coming up, someday i'll pick it up, unless someone else wants to finish it(only 5 levels left after all, and i can only think of 2 things that should be difficult to TAS, Getting Fast Elvis on Deep Sea and timing everything on Attack ship(elevators and stuff)).

Just thought i'd mention that i've at least temporarily taken up the 00A improvement project that i and RT started a year ago or so. I finished Dam by myself then and since i couldn't find any obvious ways to improve it now i decided to keep that and continue with Facility. So hopefully in a few days i'll be finished with it and WIP will be available.

Wow, just wow, that WIP was by far the best Mario TAS'ing i've ever seen. The overall perfection, The improved strategies(not sure how much of this is your own work but really nice anyway :P), Route planning, and then the things that amazed me the most, the Flying and Swimming! Simply beautiful work there. Can't wait to see this with all newer methods implemented and future WIP's :) So yeah, incredible work mrRobertz, keep it up!

Is it possible to do infinite superslide while looking forward as well? (i'm guessing the answer is around in the topic somewhere as usual) It looks pretty awesome when forward sliding the long distances across hyrule compared to the normal way, 9 frames really isn't that much compared to the entertainment value. Has any decision been made about this and whether to use it in the upcoming TAS?

Umm for Frigate im not sure what you mean, only 5 of them have to escape and there are 6, so whichever one of the last two to escape first will be the important one. The other one wont matter at all. Scientists stuff don't really fly that far, think strategy is optimal as it is. And dont think there's a very high limit on how many you can kill on 00A(2?).

I really thought i knew Mario Kart 64 pretty but i still have absolutely no idea what happend in that video :D Defintely one of the greatest WTF feelings ive ever gotten from a TAS =) THe idea of a full game TAS just seems to get more awesome every day =D

This guy follows the patterns of liars pretty well, he get's angry easily when poeple don't believe him and "forgets" to address the important questions to instead focus on minor stuff. If he was truthful he would've already done some more proof vids/m64 by now instead of trying to convince everyone that the one already up is completely real. Also if i'm not completely mistaken, he'll quote most of this post soon and write about how ignorant i am. Demonstrate's video pretty much already proven this guy is fake unless he can create the exact same effect as gameshark has without gameshark which is beyond unlikely. How about just ignoring him?

A notable exception would be Goldeneye or Perfect Dark, since more goals are added as the difficulty increases, which changes the run completely
Just had to comment on this, I did make a run of Goldeneye on the easiest setting and while being a very fast and mostly entertaining run, it still isn't as entertaining as the 00A run. Higher difficulty means showing off more parts of the levels, more headshots to be done(=entertainment), and the fact that the console world record vids are near perfect already for easy difficulties, on 00A/PA there's much more room for improvements and new insane strategies to be used. As for the general view, I'm sure someone already said this but poeple who have played a game themselves and perhaps struggled to beat it, LOVES to see the game destroyed/owned to death. Also, it gives the movie a little more edge as the death threat is higher(doesn't matter for the TAS'er but for the viewer it might give a diffrent feeling) Oh well i'm not here to debate, just wanted to give my input on the GE/PD statement since i have some experience from those.

Well no, started off Pelagic a bit a while ago but didn't get very far, was thinking of trying again today but appareantly i got a desynch and have to re-find a level selection frame where the green lights at X-ray thingy is at optimal positions. The reason i haven't done anything is mostly cause i lost interrest, dunno really when i'll have my motivation back but i'm still planning on finishing this run so someday i guess i'll continue.

Mine throws on enemy ship may seem a little strange, since second throw wasnt throw at first possible frame, this is because the ship didn't want to blow up if i threw immideately, dunno why, I hit same spot but it only worked with a later throw...Oh well.

Combat Boost is faster than normal running, Even if the normal is perfect it'll still loose time, and this time is needed to make it to the small lift in the kitchen(see how it closes on me?). Without the boost, i wouldn't have had a chance to make it. Also the pause screen is called speech skip, Joanna talks during it and conversation proceeeds immideadly afterwards without loosing in game time.

It took a buttload of time but AF1 is now done!! Some crazy glitching and president pushing got me to a final time of: 1:39(12 seconds above WR) M64: http://download.yousendit.com/BDE836E4782C3925 State: http://download.yousendit.com/F1419BA3677801CD This is a pretty good time, considering the bad starting position is supposed to loose like 25 seconds, and then i ran into another problem, it was near impossible to get to the small lift in kitchen before it closes, dunno why since its been done on console alot and TAS shouldn't loose any time. I had to warp that lift loosing another 1-2 seconds. Oh well, enjoy!

Comic, if you check the topic called "Defection glitch for AF1" you should see what i'm talking about. It's a new glitch which is based upon the old glitch found by Matt Cook but this new one is my own finding. As for the starting position, mr.pwnage(nice name btw) described it pretty well. Either i have to get a slower Air Base time or a slower AF1 time, and i figured AF1 would be the best choice. When it comes to submission i'm not sure how possible it is anymore, apparently it synched for bkDj after first reset but now i dunno. The run only seems to synch when capturing AVI but who knows if it can synch the entire run? for the moment the only thing i do is take one level at a time, make sure it synch up until start of next run, then i make a state there and continue from that position. So i have no idea how the previous levels synch up with it. If it synchs, then of course i'll submit, otherwise, i dunno. Edit: Okay just found a way to save 10'ish seconds with glitch. So i'll definately use it. now i can finally get started with the real TAS.

Because of a new major glitch i found in AF1 it may take a while before the TAS is done. I'm trying to find out if it's possible to save time with the glitch(more info on the glitch can be found on the-elite's PD forum). Anyways, hopefully i'll be able to utilize the glitch in a cool way and make an awesome TAS of it :) Btw, Just curious, if the glitch would happen to be a little slower than normal running, would it still be preferable to implement it in the TAS? I mean since i start in the unoptimal position i can't compete with wr and a glitch like this would add a huge amount of entertainment.

Actually i'm not, it's all single segment. (if it somehow synchs through all resets, i REALLY doubt it).

It's not Rescue, it's Escape. Also RT didn't forget to duck under doors cause it's not possible in GE. And i'm pretty sure it doesn't save any time in PD since doors are pretty fast and ducking looses full speed. (I don't even know if it's even possible) Anyways, Rescue is pretty much done so i'll post it here later. Edit: Okay, Resuce done!
