COW 2 Done! http://download.yousendit.com/E516DF8578C156FE End Time: 2:05 I'm not sure how optimized the chopper is, since i have no idea how much you have to wait between each shot for it to actually do any damage(In this case i made a rough guess on 40 frames). Also i could've gone for more ammo after 8th missile, but instead used up my ammo and then went for more, not sure which is faster(could also have used all 8, then get the other 8 ammo at once, which might've been the fastest method).

I don't think those improvements are enough to redo the entire run. In fact, it would be kind of wierd to do it all over again now when you've gotten so far. I mean, the levels are incredibly optimized already, And improvements can definately wait til the next run(LOL if you do all those stuff now then there wont be any improvement runs :P). Anyways, I'd say continue with Statue like planned, If you wanna redo from Surface that's fine too but not really necessary. No matter what you decide to do it'll still be one of the most awesome TAS'es ever.

Most TWINE vids are only available through getfile. Also, i already did up until the lift, so you might as well wanna start from that file: http://download.yousendit.com/9561E5234AE43F26

Well depends on what you mean by constantly, i mean i do alot of other stuff and i wont tas unless i really feel like it. But as it is now i'm pretty motivated to do at least 2 more levels, whatever happens after that i dunno. Anyways, i expect Midnight departure to take a while, but maybe sometime around next week it will be done. Then masquerade should be cake so maybe 2 days more for that.

I guess Vista is the problem then... Anyways, Nightwatch is done! End time: 1:01(6 seconds below wr). I have to say i'm very pleased with both the result and the tas'ing itself, i have no desynchs and it was very easy to aim in all shots. I will probably do Midnight departure as well, it's a long and slightly annoying level but i really want to get to masquerade which is another one of my favorite levels. However, I'm not so sure if i'll go any furhter than that for now, the last 6 levels are VERY long with tons of guards, i just don't have the motivation for that right now(If someone wants to help and do some of those levels/Midnight departure then taht would be awesome, assuming i can get the m64 thing to work of course which doesn't seem to be the case now..).

Yeah that's strange...Are you using Vista? Cause i'm pretty sure i could copy files within mupen too before i got my new comp?

Okay perhaps i didn't describe the problem well, when i'm not runnign mupen, i have one folder where i have my orginal TWINE.m64 file, However, if i open up the rom in mupen and click on play movie or whatever the name is, I obviously open the folder with my m64's right(where previously there were only the twine.m64 file. Now the problem is, that when i open the folder from within mupen, i can see all the copies of the file and new folders that i've previously made while inside mupen(I.e i made the copies while browsing my m64's after pressing play movie file). So the problem is that i know exactly where my files are, it's just that i can only use/see them when i browse them from within mupen. If i for example start mupen, then go to the folder where the files are, they are not there.

All i can find is shortcuts to the missing files in the recent files folder that however, just leads to the original file.

Ok so CR is officially done. Still no suggestions on how to fix the m64 problem? cause obviously i wont be able to post any WIP's until i've found a solution? Oh well, I'll start off with nightwatch now anyway, Which is the level i've been looking forward to the most to TAS.

Pretty much done with CR now. Managed to finish the level at a time of 2:15(2 seconds better than wr), and considering this is a very hard level to gain any time on, i'm pretty happy about the time. However, i got some desynchs on the last 2 kills which i'm gonna redo otherwise it's onto nightwatch i guess. Still not sure how to post a .m64 though? The file is totally non-existent outside of mupen. I can still do an .avi but i assume that sooner or later i'm gonna need the .m64.

People who are interrested in the topic probably remember the last person who posted, and if the same name remains as last poster and topic is a bit down the page then you obviously believe there's nothing new there.

Ok, ignore my last post :P I've redone up until the first fuel dump. I'll definately finish the level just not sure how long it's gonna take. Edit: Almost at the second fuel dump now, i estimate this level will be done in 3-4 days. Another Edit: Second fuel dump = Dumped Encountered a problem though...i made some backup copies of my m64 file and i've used those instead of the original file, This was never a problem before since it's simple to just replace the original file with the copy but in this case that seems to be impossible becouse the copies only exist within mupen?? I.e i can't actually do anything with the file except use it myself. Anyone know a solution to this?

Wow that was insane. I'm sure viewers who aren't eliter's are gonna think like: What the hell just happend?? Aweseome job man! Too bad about that backboost though, i guess that was unavoidable? So bunker next...I guess there aren't so many strat opportunities here. The tricky part is to lure the clipboard guy so that he is in a good position for a kill later. Otherwise it's easy enough to simply pwn all cameras and guards. You could consider setting off the alarm somehow? I'm not sure if it's possible with the speed of a TAS but that could make the glass door in the end opened for you?

OMG an update. I was able to figure out a way to do this level anyways. By utilizing auto aim instead of normal aiming. I actually did all the way up to the first body armour. Figured i did it pretty well too since i pressed C-up every other frame all the time and got some nice explosions and kills on the way. BUt of course, The game wouldn't let me beat it that easily, So instead i get a desynch in the very beginning of the level... I was actually planning on finishing both this level and nightwatch but i just lost my motivation of redoing this again.

Actually he does since he's the fastest hostage, meaning he'll still escape faster than the 2nd one.

Well since pause trick saves time on all levels it would be wierd to start using it in the middle of the run, though it'd be wierd to use it at all too. So yeah, don't use it.

Continue from my run in that case since it's already optimized. And just so you know the problem is still Cold Reception, it's COMPLETELY impossible to aim your shots. I'd almost suggest a no-frame-advance run for that level.
