There's a turbo function? Can't believe i totally missed that :p And yeah, you can't hold the C-up. This is one of the reasons that the console world records were all done with turbo controller. So L4yer, you got aim or msn?

Oh pressing A? I obviously meant C-up sorry! And autofire is possible? Awesome. About the Perfect Dark pressing start thing i havent watched the run myself yet but i'm guessing it's part of the speech skip??

Basicly you'll need to keep pressing C-up as fast as possible to gain speed(Do this during the entire run). I think best way to do this is to hold A one frame then release it one etc but i'm not entirely sure. Also make sure to take sharp turns by holding C-right in right turns and C-left in left turns etc. And there are like 2 places where you can choose between 2 diffrent ways. The first comes pretty early and you gotta take a left turn there, then on the next one you have to take a right turn leading down into a cave.

The latest .m64 is pretty much the one i posted above, i've only added some crappy testing on Cold Reception. Btw, do you have the .m64 of the Perfect Dark run that didn't work?

Ok so my incredibly bad graphic card decided to once again hate everything that's 3D when i tried to emulate Majoras Mask and now i can't play any game without having to restart computer after 5 seconds. Also i found that it's pretty much impossible to make a TAS of Cold Reception cause you can't see where your shots hit, the aimer is very non accurate etc etc. i.e i will not be working on this anymore. Unless someone else does Cold Reception and magicly the graphic card start working normally.

So exactly what doesn't work? Programmer? Got any .m64 that i can watch so i see the problem myself? And it would be a shame if you'd give up Perfect Dark becouse it would be so awesome TAS'ed. If everything else fails i'd even suggest the no-glitch strat. Oh and could someone please tell me how to save a save state so that i don't have to watch through the my entire .m64 every time i continue recording? It's getting annoying.

Alright finished UU with a time of 1:28! http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=5EB283DC3F447056 So finally i've arrived at Cold Reception which definately will be one hell of a TAS.

I play piano too and i have made Goldeneye TAS'es(http://www.thengamer.com/GE/24-TAS/). But i just hate the luck factors in Goldeneye and i have no intention of sitting for hours trying to figure out how to make hostages on frigate escape etc. Underground Uprising is nearly done, i'll upload it within the next 2 hours.

Rom Properties are at Utilities -> Rom Properties(or simply Ctrl+P). Anyways, if it still doesn't work then i could upload the .wmw's?

Exactly what do you mean with version? Isn't all the information about the Rom given when you open the .m64 at "start playback"?

Finally completed Thames Chase =) http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=C17E6C3C3A247AD5 Some notes about the run: My time was 56 seconds which ties the AGENT record! In the very end instead of headshooting the 2nd guard i actually shot into the wall so it bounced back on him! It didn't kill him but i thought it was cool so i kept it in the run.

Thanks for all the positive comments! Ok so i'm like halfway through Thames Chase now(yeah haven't worked that much on this lately) and i found it pretty strange that one moment the .m64 was 26kb big, then after recording a bit more it's 2mb?! Anyone got any idea what the hell just happend? (Though it still runs fine)

As i mentioned in the Goldeneye topic i started a TWINE TAS a few days ago and i just finished King's Ransom so i thought it was time to make a topic. Anyways, here's a the .m64 of the progress so far: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=A7A9A90118FDD35A Overall i think it turned out pretty ok, Tied the console world record on Courier and beat my own King's Ransom WR by 15 seconds. So what do you think? Good enough for the main page? This is my first TAS'd speed run so i really don't know what standards you guys have.

Well i'm already ranked 2nd in TWINE on the-elite.net so yeah i already know what to aim for. Note that the 00A wr's there are uber-crap though so it doesn't really tell me anything about what times i should get. Most 00A TAS'es should beat the Secret Agent wr's though.

I still don't understand the problem, Exactly where does he see you through the floor? And i've never heard of this happening on console. Oh btw, Some poeple wanted to see TWINE TAS'd so i started a run a few days ago. I'm currently at King's Ransom(00A of course). Should easily be able to beat my own console wr by at least 10 seconds(probably 15-20) since it really sucks. I'll post a WIP when i'm done with KR.

I did a few very crappy slowdown-only TAS'es on Twine a long time ago but i dont think there were that many desync problems. On the other hand the game is not very entertaining to watch really since turning speed is very slow and stuff. Though I suppose it would be pretty cool to see how low 00A can go since the wr's there are really crappy.

Well it's a pretty nice start, too bad about the long wait for programmer(I wonder if it's possible to do the bottom ECM part before you go up to Cass, or perhaps that takes too long?). Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing Investigation even though the bot can be a pain in the ass.

Oh right, works now. Seems good so far though i think it might be possible to get to the corridor without stopping at the first set of green columns. Not sure though. I don't know what's best, with or without speech skipping, though there would only be a minor diffrence in overall time. And i think many eliters are interrested in seeing what a max time could be on this level.

For some reason i can't view that m64 file, appareantly there's nothing recorded on it? Anyways, I meant the first picture, the column visible a few meters ahead(which i suppose you already figured out).

Pausing simply skips the speeches by the guy talking on the phone, thus giving a better mission time. However, i'm not sure how good that is for a TAS since it's supposed to entertain the viewer. And alot of pausing(though should only be 2-3 Pauses since it's a TAS) makes it kind of boring(Though there isn't much to do while he's talking anyways, just shooting random guards in the head). Anyways, For the glitching part, I suppose you've seen the elite videos? However, i would suggest you use a diffrent method where you glitch out of building like normal, but then go right into the green thing at the far end of the building so you land right into the corridor, should save some seconds(This works very rarely though)

Do you really need both players to glitch? I mean, one guy gets the computer guy, from here the only thing that matters is the guys speed. So during this time the other player runs down to Cassandra, Takes necklace, runs back up, throw comms thing, Glitches down to lower levels and exits. I'm not sure how fast this can be done in comparasion to the computer guys speed but hopefully it's possible for the other player to simply follow computer guy and download data and when that is done i suppose the level will end immideadly?
