I noticed that Trapstar6139 had uploaded some of my videos without permission and contacted him to urge him to delete them and stop uploading videos from The Sonic Center without asking the authors first. He replied this: "Everything "Sonic Center" is now DELETED and OUT OF HERE! I hope you are happy..........." Anyway, the two videos linked above can be downloaded here.

Thank you for making my favorite TAS of a classic Sonic game. Excellent job improving nitsuja's run in both speed and entertainment. I loved the play around with Tails and Sonic at the end of the first act of Aquatic Ruin Zone.

In Spanish, names of languages aren't spelled capitalized, so the correct way to write it would be "Foro en español".

I don't think so, because that would be stupid.

I stumbled upon this gem recently while doing some research to find a good game to TAS. This information could be useful.

"Dear Brushy," Did you kiss that girl on the mouth upon leaving? What is your opinion of Fabian? Do you miss the days when alden was an active member? Can rhinotanks kill you? Is the first question grammatically correct? Do you like the number 6? Am I asking too many questions? Yours sincerely, Zeupar.

I've never said that. >_>
You seemed to mean that with the following claims:

Patashu: TASers always look for unusual solutions. Pressing A on credits is too simple to find out for them.
Anyway, I disagree with what is quoted right above this line, even if you meant "pressing up". <_< By the way, thank you for the encode.

Discovering that pressing up on the credits speeds them up isn't easy. Also, I disagree with your claim about TASers often missing simple stuff.

Thank you for the encode, FerretFaucet. I liked this movie. There was so much action going on at certain points that I couldn't keep up!

Voted meh because it can't be "fastest time" if stage 5 was slower. .......... Don't hate me!
This is why sorting your goals by order of priority in the submission text is a good idea. In this case, that order would be: - Avoid death - Complete the game on the hardest difficulty - Complete the game as fast as possible
Zavalix wrote:
I really can't understand what are people complaining about now. This run is faster AND with NO deaths which was the biggest "NO" on the previous one... I want to believe some are just trolling around, really.
They are complaining because the author of this movie didn't take advantage of a trick that saves time. Some people find pure speedruns (which are movies where the author finishes the game as fast as possible using all the tricks at their disposal) more entertaining than anything else. I don't think that is hard to understand. Not sharing your opinion isn't trolling.

Thank you guys. I was thinking to move to another emulator, like PCSX, but since the games that I want to TAS are not very well emulated yet, I'll stick to the Snes9X a bit longer.
Is Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee among those games? If that is the case, what isn't emulated properly?

jlun2, did you decide to TAS this horrible game because it was among the NES games that micro500 owned?

I would have preferred a movie where you aimed for fastest time, but this one was entertaining anyway.

Lastly, does anyone know why the game would actually FORBID selling the arcade game in North America? It sounds like that's a silly way to lose a bunch of potential business.
For arcade games, I go for the 'base rom' which is usually 'World'. To do the US version, you would need both mercs.zip and mercsu.zip. I've been doing that since TMNT, and this is the first time someone has noticed. I figured the 'base rom' was the best to use.
I think that he is referring to the message that is displayed at the beginning of the game.

We have a winner for the speedy TAS of 2011 award. I loved it, Ryuto. Thank you very much! By the way, the name of the submission is missing the "100%" branch.

If I remember correctly, you have to go through some menus to activate paintball mode.

Aiming for real time is not a very good idea i think since i would spend alot of time waiting for elevators.

Run will be more action filled if waiting some cinemas.
I think that a movie without cutscenes and with some time spent teasing enemies or writing on the walls with bullets while waiting for elevators would be more entertaining than one with cutscenes where you reach elevators as soon as they arrive. You are part of a speedrunning community that has aimed for in-game time for over a decade, and I guess that is the main reason for you to stick to that goal. Why don't you seize this opportunity to show something fresh and new?

I think that a pure tool-assisted speedrun of this game would be very entertaining, so I don't think that using paintball mode is a good idea, because that would make the movie slower and less realistic. Also, I think that aiming for real time instead of in-game time would make it more entertaining, because you could skip several cutscenes and, in some cases, spend that time killing enemies in creative ways. Anyway, good luck with whatever goals you choose!
