Congratulations! However, I liked seeing Tails standing on water in your previous run.

Good job. I can't wait to see movies of certain GameCube games.

I agree with that. It is nearer now thanks to you, Toad King.

Hydrocity 1, on the other hand, was much kinder -- improved precision at the beginning, two new shortcuts and a lightning shield combine to an improvement of 2 seconds, 39 frames over the published run
This is promising. Good luck replicating the quick death glitch with regular Sonic; it would be a nice addition to the run. :D

I am glad that you decided to do this. Movies that are being given a star shouldn't be published if people find ways to improve them.

I agree. However, I think that AngerFist is aware that a TAS like this won't be published, so you wouldn't be able to rate it if it is done.

Have you made any progress on that project?

I feel like it might be faster to get more special meter in 'School' before getting to the secret tape. It should make you a fair bit faster right? Maybe you tested this and it was slower.
Indeed, I should get more special before reaching the rail in School Miami then perform a special slide to get the pro score tape. That being said, there are some other places that can be improved in this run.
Have you read all the posts of this topic? Spider-Waffle explains several strategies in some of them. If you haven't, reading them will help you to improve your run. I have noticed that you go through various corners during the run. Did you take advantage of an emulation glitch where certain structures don't load properly? I ask this because I don't remember that trick being possible to do on a console. However, I played the PSX version and it was a while ago...
Spider-Waffle wrote:
That's pretty bad even for a test run. I can beat all but the warehouse time on a console. There's just so much your missing.
Could you write a post describing the routes and tricks that would make his run faster? (Excluding those already mentioned in other posts).

After seeing your awesome work with this game, I think that you are an ideal player to make an awesome TAS of this masterpiece. I wonder if, after a break of more than two years, you have considered resuming this project or starting from scratch to create a movie without resets. I am aware that free time tends to decrease as age increases, so I doubt it...

Indeed. However, since he has resumed FractalFusion's project, he can't change the name unless he starts over.

Great TAS of a somewhat boring game. It should be published.

Gimmick!'s sixth level would make an interesting "atlas video", since it is fast-paced and has a nice map.

You should understand it after reading the reasoning of my first post. I myself was surprised with my conclusion, so I wrote this topic to ask for an explanation. Fortunately, that explanation proved that my conclusion was the result of an incorrect assumption, and all was clarified.

I like this idea, but it will need more support to be considered. You should write a topic about it.

The main page is fine for me, but I get the first error that you posted when I access the publication page of certain obsoleted movies like this.

Many people are having problems because of video games. If you all think about it seriously, you will realize that adelikat should close this site. >_>

Maj, could you recommend me groundbreaking combo videos of the Tekken series? I wonder if there are such videos of Tekken Advance.

That is what I think after seeing this: Look at the the individual ratings by those eight users and the average rating for entertainment. That means that Nach and Kyman gave a rating of less than 2.2 for entertainment, which is hard to understand. I would like to read an explanation from both. Nach, is this one of your methods to torture TASers? :P

Can you use all of those tricks, techniques and shortcuts on the Japanese ROM? If that is the case, why did you decide to use the American ROM?

I also enjoy tekken 2 for the animations and the amazing soundtrack. But don't play it if you hate blocky 3D.
Tekken 3 is way better in every aspect. Have you played it? You should play these games that nobody mentioned: - Silent Hill. Its graphics aged badly, but still. This game has something special. - The Adventures of Lomax. - Driver and Driver 2: Back on the Streets. - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. It has great levels and soundtrack. And Spider-man!

I have spent a lot of time time attacking Sonic Advance. During this time I have discovered a few glitches. - Angel Island Zone Act 1 (possible only as Knuckles): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8fpZtVJtmg The strategy seen on the first half of the video, optimized and with a few tweaks, is the strategy that I used to get the world record (0:32:25). A few days later, an awesome Russian player tied it. :P - Cosmic Angel Zone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZZLYxkz0Yo&fmt=18 - Neo Green Hill Zone Act 2 (probably possible only as Sonic because I think that you need the Air Dash movement to activate it): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwgMSfLiwWY&fmt=18 I haven't been able to replicate this glitch. However, you can grab your GBA and Sonic Advance cart and replicate the glitches seen in the other videos. Do you want more glitchy action? Then you should watch the most bizarre TAS on the site... Yeah, I'm talking about Mukki's TAS of Sonic Advance.
