I don't have an answer for you unfortunately, but I do have bread crumbs that you can follow that might get you somewhere. The tl;dr is that it's some sort of GDI+ raw format. If you can't figure out the format, maybe you can call .net methods inside of python to deserialize that way? Or even call native gdi+ functions. The memory stream is in the format of a serialized .NET System.Drawing.Bitmap. This conversion is done here in BizHawk: https://github.com/TASVideos/BizHawk/blob/master/src/BizHawk.Client.EmuHawk/MainForm.cs#L606 .NET serializes the image this way: https://referencesource.microsoft.com/#System.Drawing/commonui/System/Drawing/ImageConverter.cs,117 The read function is right above it ultimately leads to functions that use GDI+: https://referencesource.microsoft.com/#System.Drawing/commonui/System/Drawing/Image.cs,249 I know this isn't what you asked for but it's what I figured out in 10 minutes and as far as I feel like going. Good luck!

I have to agree with the general sentiment of the others here in that the technical quality of the movie is obvious, but the entertainment value is questionable due to the custom level stuff just sorta flying by. Just as I was getting into the gameplay, it was suddenly major skip glitch and done. I too have an expectation of custom/romhack/etc stuff looking like the absurdly difficult SMW hacks with equally absurd TASes. So, a 'meh' from me as well. I would like to go on a tangent though and congratulate the author on the extremely well constructed and edited commentary video that was provided. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it and it feels professionally done. If we were to be voting on entertainment factor of the provided commentary video, I would give a resounding 'yes.'

Another fantastic run that was a pleasure to watch. I don't have much more to say that hasn't already been said about this run and the previous one. Yes vote.

I'm not working on Wipeout but I do just want to add that I would be very interested in watching a TAS of this game!

Highly enjoyable and full of variety as every character is used. The submission notes alone are a great read and worth a 'yes' vote. Excellent job by everyone involved, this is a great TAS.

Lots of superhuman parkour and combat, which is extremely fitting given that Altaïr and his descendants are literal superhumans! I particularly enjoyed the segments where you used the box as an ultimate weapon. Kept me entertained from start to finish, yes vote.

Assassin's Creed and subtitle commentary! I love both of these things! Will vote after watching. Putting in for encode of this as well if it's accepted.

Hey Dr Doppietta, it's good to see someone new instereted in Dolphin TASing! I can not provide any advice myself, but our Discord server has several regulars that are quite familiar with Dolphin TASing. http://tasvideos.org/DiscordServer.html Consider joining and heading to the #tas-production channel to ask any questions you may have. You will probably get answers here on the forums eventually, but the Discord server moves a lot more quickly.

What a weird beat-em-up game! I like the aesthetic and charm of the game, but the run is kinda boring. Unfortunately, efficiency here means ending nearly every battle before it starts with the same scream move which gets repetitive. So, I must vote 'no' for entertainment.

I used to think this game was really freaky when I was young because of the "hell" stage, etc. Looking back, for a Disney product, this game is right-on brand with very questionable imagery for children haha. Anyway, the gameplay is fast and crisp, and the boss fights are quite superhuman. Dancing to the music in the auto-scroller is an appreciated touch. Yes vote.

Let me be the first to encourage you to keep TASing this game! It's got entertaining combat and I think a lot could be done with it in a TAS. Finding optimized ways to get through hazards looks like it will be annoying though. The boss fight at the end was good and i frames give you a bit of leeway to get creative I would bet.

I'm carrying my vote of 'meh' from the previous submission of this game. Without reading the submissions notes, the gameplay is basically incomprehensible, but there really isn't much going on after reading them and understanding the game either. The game however is completed perplexingly quickly which is a good quality for a TAS in my book.

IMO this TASes gameplay is indistinguishable from skilled normal play, due to the nature of the game itself. While to a trained eye it might be apparent that this is a TAS, to my (untrained) eye it just looks like someone playing well. I have no doubts regarding the author's technical ability or the technical quality of the TAS as they've proven themselves before repeatedly, but I must vote 'no' on entertainment.

I was captivated by how you approached each level, especially when X and Z desynchronized in their position and you had to 'massage' them back to the same place. I'm a sucker for inventive and out-of-the-box content like this, and your commentary was very good which made the experience overall very enjoyable. Yes vote!

If you just want to create a quick encode, do not worry about anything I am saying in this post. On the topic of resolutions that YouTube likes, it's a bit of a mystical art. The gist of how YouTube decides on what resolution to present your encode in is that it has certain width and height values that it "likes" and will try to set one of your dimensions to those values, and then let the other dimension vary a bit however you like. Some values I happen to know about near 4K resolution are 3840 for width, and either 2160 or 1920 for height. So, if you upload a video with a vertical resolution of, say, 1920, YouTube will be happy and you can vary your horizontal resolution to custom values and it will retain your resolution. Same thing for a width of 3840 - if your video is 3840 wide, your vertical resolution can vary and YouTube won't try to resize it so long as you still have enough total pixels to get close to 4k. If however you miss one of these magic dimensions, YouTube will resize your video proportionally to the nearest value that it likes. Whether this is a problem or not for you depends on how much you care about controlling the scaling algorithm that is used on your video. For 1080p I only know that YouTube likes a vertical dimension of 1080, but there are probably other values it's fine with. The trick is that your horizontal dimension then needs to be large enough to have enough pixels to make YouTube recognize it as 1080p. 1440 definitely works, less might too. For vertical dimensions less than 1080 - they may exist, I'm not sure, but your horizontal resolution might need to be larger than a strict 4:3 aspect to get YouTube to recognize it as "1080p". Anyway, if you are dealing with console footage that does not scale cleanly to 1080p or whatever resolution you're aiming for, you're SOL for getting a pure integer-scaled video uploaded. Your options are to pad the video with borders to a resolution that will get there (For instance, pad a vertical resolution of 224 to 240), or do non-integer scaling using more sophisticated algos like lanczos or area (Spikestuff posted examples above).

Oh man, and I thought Maguire phoned in his performance on the last game! The fighting is definitely a lot more exciting in this installment of the franchise, and the webslinging is super fast and exciting. TASing the webslinging sections to achieve Warp 1 speeds is fantastic. Spidey's ability to run along walls makes the movement seem even more (literally) superhuman. The sections with Black Cat are unfortunately boring and skippable, but they are an otherwise minor ding separating great sections. Yes vote from me. Also lol at Mysterio's Zero Wing reference. I realized how dated that reference was since it's probably been years since I heard it.

There is an option under "Configure AVI" where you can write your own FFMPEG command. What is a good example of an FFMPEG script on BizHawk?
For any of the commands that have been posted in this thread just remove the beginning ffmpeg -i input.avs part and replace the ending filename part (outputfile.mp4) with -f mp4 or -f matroska or with whatever container you want. edit: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22681

I skipped ahead a bit and the gameplay gets a bit more exciting once you've got some higher gears and nitrous unlocked, but the gameplay is still quite straightforward and simple, so 2 hours of it gets a 'no/vault' for entertainment. Finding another 4 minutes to knock if is good work though. I did like the glitches where you rammed into the overpasses and then suddenly won the race in first place.

Haha this is amazing! Absolutely insane twists on games like this are my favorite type of TAS. Manipulating the ice climber stage to rise too fast for the CPUs is an inventive and entertaining way to finish the stage. I absolutely loved the exploding Mr. Game & Watches too - total madness spawned by what I can only assume was the WeeGee stare. Obvious and enthusiastic yes vote for a TAS that clearly took a lot of work.

I got this run to sync but had to use my laptop with Intel integrated graphics to get past the first level. On my machine with NVidia graphics it would desync variously. Here's settings I used that you can try: - Remove the XFB stuff from the game properties as natetheman suggests in the previous runs - Speed Limit: 100% - No memory cards (Slot A/B/SP1 all set to <Nothing>) - 1 standard controller in port 1 and nothing else

Hype! I'm super looking forward to this TAS. I never owned this game as a kid and only rented it few times and never completed it. It's such a unique concept (for the time) and seems like there's a ton of room of TASing goodness.

As with a lot of ACEs, the actual gameplay is not that entertaining, but the companion commentary is brilliant and made the entire video a good watch. Yes vote!

Finally got around to watching this one. I like how I can see a progression of fine-tuning over the course of your TASes of this game. While the 100% TAS is already quite optimized, this one feels even tighter, particularly in the indoor stages. The last stage with the Green Goblin is pretty boring though. I don't know what you could have done here since it seems like you really are just resigned to chasing him around, but the fact remains. Still, it's a yes vote from me since I enjoyed my 25 minutes.

I absolutely adored this game a long time ago and would very much like to see a TAS of it. This class of game represents a really serious challenge to TAS though since the degree of freedom you have to finish each stage is enormous, so optimization work could spiral out of control on just the first stage. It might be worth trying to just beat the world record, entertainment value be damned, to see what it looks like. It's tempting to style on your enemies in a TAS but if it gets in the way of finishing a very first TAS for the game I think it can be ignored.

I saw some of the clips of the WIP as they were shared but they didn't prepare me for how great the finished product is! Wow, this is a stellar playaround. I dislike the spacies in general, but Fox was obviously the right choice for this playaround. It's clear in each stage that his agility was used to its fullest extent. His reflector is also responsible for plenty of entertaining shennanigans, especially the trick where you reflected the ARWING's shot into enemy fox while he bounced off a wall right over your head. Stage 1 against poor link is a fantastic start - keeping him in the blender like that is a great set-up. The fight against Fox again was another superb showcase of planning and trickery. The polygons was fast and thrilling for its madness. Obvious huge yes vote and excellent work Moth. Here are some booty-quality youtube grabs for screenshot ideas:
