There are such things as one story houses. A friend of mine has a 4,000 sq foot one story house. It's... a waste of space.

Well, I already addressed that crash is inefective against lololo and lalala because it takes a lot longer to kill them with crash than it does with cutter (I tested this 5 different ways). I needed to finish Gourmet Race to help Open up Great Cave Offensive. It is mandatory, unless the rules of this game rewrote in order to screw me over. Also, yeah, Gourmet Race could be improved, but whatever. I've already mentioned that I don't have the patience to make a 2P run for this game. That accounts for why Wheelie Rider isn't shooting. I don't plan to change that. I tested every move against the twin Whispy trees and found that the rising attack does not do enough damage to warrant use. It also causes lag in that fight. Horrid horrid lag. I avoided it at all costs. I tested the Copy ability in Milkyway Wishes after this movie was submitted and found that Copy can't mimick any of the skills that you don't have yet. Also, the side track to get hammer isnt really worth the time, since i would only use it in boss fights and the time it takes to change weapons (cutter to hammer) and then back in the next area tends to undo most time in boss fights. If I could randomize Hammer faster in the RPG fight, that would be optimal. Also, umm, we can't really do arena because the movie time would be much too long (you have to go through Milkyway Wishes credits the first time through, and rules say no using savestates). Plus, Milkyway is considered the final area needed to 'finish' the game. There are a few tiny improvements I could see to this movie. I caught them a few weeks after the movie was published. I am not in the mood to really remake this movie, but if anyone else wants to commit, I have some pointers.

Not a shabby movie. It was pretty minimalist for what it was trying to accomplish, and you chose a game mode that really can't be timeattacked (no matter how quickly you achieve your goal, it will always take 5 years in game to win.) I agree with Bisqwit's notion that it would be better to go for a 'X population in fastest time' movie. If you, for example, had been going for 'fastest time to get 30,000 people (and complete objective), then you would have a movie that is comparable to other attempts. If this were the case, I would also advise you to build more residentials in your town. I am "voting" as meh because all though this was a good movie, I feel you went about it in the wrong way.

(To go off on a tangent) Sup goon bud Ramzi. Same name there eh? Yes, one of my friends has a set of these and he started to make every robot master/maveric from the whole megaman series. He only made it through MM1 and a few of the X characters before he gave up. Apparently theyre a bit difficult to make if you have no patience whatsoever. If I knew how to make them (all I know is that they require heat or something after assembly), I would probably buy a few sets and re-enact the Civil War with bombermen or something.

Looks great so far. It will probably be impossible to make a PERFECT movie for this game, but even sub-optimal movies will be interesting. All lights are GO

A great submission, but I had one quick question... In one area, you have to climb up the left side of a red cliff thing. As soon as you reach the top, you activate your boots to make a jump across the chasm and leave the area. When you leave, your boots seem to die. I think you could save a few frames/seconds if you activated the boots right when you land on the 2nd tiny platform in the cliff area, which would let you jump up the majority of the wall (rather than climb at slow speeds). Your boots would still last to the end of the area, and so their exhaustion wouldn't be a total waste. I may be wrong about something here, but thats just what I saw. Otherwise, good show. Voted yes.

I got a desynch at the second form of the the first boss. Also, the very first level didn't seem very efficient to me. The following levels were nice, but the first one seemed akward.

I'll probably hang around my house during the morning part, so that I can get my few presents out of the way. Then I'll go to some parties around town. Good ol' Xmas parties...

Very well done. There were a few small points where I had to wonder if damage was really necessary (the beam wall tihngs in the first level, for example), but they didn't add up enough to have me doubt you. Good show. Oh, is it possible to shoot heat vision and punch at the same time?

Unless youre a fan of the series, you won't really appreciate a huge portion of this game's gags. However, I do concur that this movie would make for some good time attacks. Back when I was semi-interested in the game, I messed around with the dash and stack features, only to realise that the game doesn't really require much skill, just manipulation. Still, a run would be entertaining, for the 15 minutes it would probably take to beat.

The assumption that everyone has the money to buy a large hard drive, let alone want to take up that much disk space with an avi file, is pretty preposterous. As long as there is someone that can not handle such a large file, we should try to avoid horrendously large movie files that can be played just as easily in an emulator at a tiny fraction of the file size. And, in case it matters, I am not one of the people that downloads the emulator movies. In fact, I have almost every currently published movie on my hard drive in avi form. It's something around 32 GB of space right now (including a few SDA movies), but that is only a portion of my 250GB master HD.

The flight glitch doesn't help anywhere except either the air level or the space level (part 1), but that doesn't mean it is the fastest method of getting around. I really want to see both your air temple escape and your final time, because my last movie was completed with a time of about 21:50.

a) It's a long game. I've never bothered doing anything quickly on it, but it's taken me between 25-30 hour to do ~100% completions. I've played the game fully thrice. Obviously a run can't be this long, it should aim for a fast completion, not full completion. I suspect that doing only what's necessary would take maybe 5 hours? This is still extremely long...
That is such a painfully correct statement. I've never beaten the game because I couldn't devote more than a few weeks to it at a time, but I'm pretty sure that I got close to the end. This game would be great to watch, both as an RPG and an action submission, because of the whole Linear Battle System deely. The white/opal stone is supposed to let you escape from most fights much faster, but wouldn't you want to get phoenix/lionheart as quickly as possible? Also, would it be safe to assume that Mint will be leaving the team fairly quickly? No need for a healer if every shot is dead on, right? Three cheers for Arche, by the way.

It is expected that you play on the hardest difficulty possible. Did you know that pressing the dash button quickly makes you hover in mid air? Its very entertaining to mix that and ultra-sliding (pressing down every other 4 frames while dashing) on the train level.
