Like i said, there are no cheats on this time through. My initial run that I didnt submit used a 9crystals cheat, because I hated having to find the power ups. This was against the rules, though, so I redid it without any cheats. Plus, there is no invincibility cheat available in the game at all. The only monsters that hurt you when you pass through them are the Frankenstein monsters, the mummys, and a few enemies that can go into 'fight mode' (which is when the see you from afar and begin a ranged attack). Anything else, which is pretty much limited to the imps and the zombies, wont hurt you if you touch them, but that doesnt mean they arent able to hurt you. Basically, if I stop to kill it, its because I cant pass through them without taking damage. Youll see with the second frankenstein I encounter, I slide 'through' him and then trip. This isnt a hit, because I dont take damage: its more of an interaction with his shoes, or something. Also, youll see me 'block' a few punches by the.. uhhh... swashbuckler zombies: those arent hits either because I take no damage and, obviously, block them. Hope that clears everything up. Also, to anyone that has desynch problems: please either PM me or leave a message here stating where it happened and how it happened. So far, Ive heard of the movie desynching right before the first boss and in the beginning of the third level. I hope to pinpoint where the ROMs are screwing up so I can find out what the heck happened to the coding. Thanks.

both points are correct. the movies are made using the slowmotion/rerecord properties of the snes9x/famtasia, but the movie data is actually a flow of button sequences that are timed with frames (as opposed to actual film)

Feel free to make a run of any movie you want. They're all up for grabs. Granted, there are some movies that you should avoid, especially if youre unsure of your skills and there is a high amount of competition. I say go for it. And yes, technically this belongs in the forums of said game's console.

To be honest, this movie is lacking. It doesn't focus on speed or style. It's not exactly challenging. It doesn't even finish the whole game. Also, considering that there is already a movie that does these three things AND beats your time, I don't see why you submitted this run.

invites have stopped 'spawning', which also means that unless youve got sociopathic friends, youre not getting into gmail until it goes public

granted, i was initially spelling minnesota off of the top of my head. i dont see any error in english, though. also, i dont see why everyone is making such a big deal out of a simple 'hey you messed up' statement. oh well, im over it.

You must have looked away twice on that last reply, seeing as how you edited it in all. I wasn't getting on your case about a typo, I was just directing you to a typo. By the way, you misspelled my name and you started to list with a "1." and never built off of that.

For someone from Minnesotta, your english seems lacking. Either way, you forget that PCs are, and always will be, gaming systems.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. If I had something better than FRAPS2.0, I would think about doing it. Then again, I don't see why someone would need a video when text seems to have gotten the point across before.

yes, any fight can be ended in one turn thanks to mario. his super/ultra jumps have no limit (unless the limit is 99, which is still ridiculous as in), and any other creature can be killed by a 9999 damage shot from geno. this would be a fun game for the simple fact that dodging the enemies would take lots of skill and mapping at some points. some fights (power ranger wannabees) will be very hard, but you should be able to manage.

i assume youre trying to get mog ASAP so that you can also get the moogle charm's abilities ASAP? that would also mean that you would need to learn the [sand dance] and [snow dance] (names allude me. i think theyre snowman jazz and something else) so that mog isnt just a ward for fights. what team would you be using when not glitching? sabin, edgar, mog, gau/cyan right? if you have shadow with you, you could attempt to call out interctepter every turn, but the sheer randomness of that would make it not worth the efforts.

Actually, I prefer this movie to the other movie. Although this one is slower, it is also more 'complete'. Im also not a big fan of glitching. Vote: YES

I think I can safely say we're all over it. The bad is behind us, and that's all that really mattered. If DaMetroid/Reciprocal decides to come back and lead the anti-bisqwit groups once again, that's his own problem and these events will always be an unpassable obstacle for that. Now, let's all get back to getting along!

So much drama. All I can say is (and pardon my langauge) ITS JUST THE FUCKING INTERNET. Its not like someone calling him out means that the internet itself will collapse into one big pile of 'I hate Reciprocal'. However old that guy is, he needs to get laid. Or get out more. Get out and get laid.

Obviously you didnt try all the keys... "Select-Switch characters to lead (only works if you have both Diddy and Dixie)" -straight off of GameFAQs

I got bored and decided to do a decently professional run through the game. Played on Hard Mode, takes no hits, done in 25:30. There are only two spots that really require redoing. edit: i forgot to mention that i start the game off with the full power cheat. it gives you 9 crystals off the bat, which makes everything in the first level super easy. Someone please beat my time!

So I was playing around with some of my older ROMs when i happened upon Nosferatu. This is one of my favorite games for the SNES, as it mixes the puzzle aspects of Prince of Persia and the fighting aspects of Final Fight. With that, I was thinking that a time attack for this game would make for a good movie. I think it would take maybe 25 minutes on the highest difficulty, without having to collect any of the blue crystals that add to your health. Any thoughts?

i didnt make his list of known cheaters :( edit: i think its pretty awful that he would go to such lengths to try and relate Bisqwit to Hitler. I mean, aside from the obvious repetition in his 'facts', anyone could do that. Hitler believed that Jewish people weren't worthy of common decency. Reciprocal believed that emu-runners arent worthy of common decency. see how easy that was? Also, I dont see how he can say that we think competetive gamers are filth and should just give up. if anything, we want our movies categorized separately so that legit runners can still compete like they do. oh well. im done with it. this really wasnt worth my time.

simply put, you end your movie when there is no need for further input. this also means that if you were to, say, end your movie upon starting the final blow, no one would be able to then take the helm and kill you/ruin your no hit run, or whatnot. usually, the movie is stopped when the player cant control anything anymore (ie when a final boss begins a slow motion death sequence). that way, when the movie is recorded, the recorders dont have to worry about pressing any buttons while the movie is playing.

All of Boco's movies are on Famicom or Super Famicom. Can't forget about King of Dragons. Or Super Slam Masters, if there is a way to time attack that game...

Dont read between the lines ;)
that was in context to the megadrive, not the SNES. unless the two somehow became one without my knowledge, or you meant to say "I only know Alien 3 for the Genesis", you havent answered my question.

2 questions: 1) Are the Genesis and SNES versions of the game identical? 2) Are you mapping out these levels with imaging? The run sounds like it will be fun. A bit challenging, and sort of repetetive, but still very entertaining.

this is the main reason i havent cancelled my submission. although dan has a faster run, it seems sloppy at many points. he does, however, do a few areas much more efficiently than i had. i was quite impressed with his two boss fights. he was also able to make the footman launch him from standstill (something i coudnt seem to make them ever do, no matter how many times i tried). this will make me redo my run with a few optimisations, but i wont be doing it for a little while. also, constant jumping throughout the whole game will not save more than 15 seconds for the whole run. i can tell you that it is faster, but not by much of a margin. a few seconds per level at max.
