...What just happened? I really love how you complete laps so fast that the game doesn't have time to record your lap time. Definite Yes vote.

One minor thing for the description though. This game does contain random battles. These can only occur on the world map, but are all avoided by entering the menu briefly.
Fixed. Sorry about that.

Uhh, no. The submission alone is documentation enough. We don't need the already busy encoders publishing movies just for the sake of publishing.

it should be noted that many of the strategies and generic improvements in the other submission are directly copied from this run.

I think it was on NES. There was a dragon head on the cover and it was kind of like gradius..... Maybe it was gradius. Does anyone know?
Either it's Super R Type or Gradius 3.

I can't find a copy of this ROM that doesn't have a retarded hacked introduction screen. If I do, though, I'll watch/vote. If you want attention to be drawn to your runs, I would suggest that you don't run obscure titles. e: Watched the run. This is the classic case of a bad game played well. There was nothing that was actually intriguing about the run as a whole, save for a few very short segments (like trapping the red velociraptor). Everything else was pretty timid and disposable. Giving this a Meh vote. I hate to ask, but did you use Frame Advance to make this?

Apparently very few people find the hack interesting. No one is willing to TAS this, especially since the hack isn't even complete. Unless the hack is completed very soon/becomes really interesting really fast, I think you should just sit back and let the thread die.

Going to go ahead and vote yes on this. I too don't see how XKeeper can find this run repetitive when each room is treated in a unique and flavorful fashion. Poots to that. Also, I would suggest a screen shot of when Samus shinesparks out of the lava just before the elevator to Lower Norfair. Seeing a shinespark there at all, not to mention one that actually works, was impressive.

It was a nice watch, I would say. I do have some qualms. Honestly, it seems like you guys tried too hard in some spots. Excessive gore (to the point that it was obviously campy) and over-the-top sound effects lead me to believe that you guys did this as a nonserious project. Am I wrong to think this? Of a 6:30 minute video, 1:30 was actual plot-driven stuff, 1 minute was zombie-chewing and -maiming, and the rest was credits/bloopers. That seems a bit odd to me. Cute homage to Romero's works, though.

Is this THE LAST improvement you'll be making, or should I just sit on my hands for a few days and wait for you to improve this again?

Name it Ocarina of Time and start discussing Ocarina of Time. That's how it works.

Permabans are very rare and are probably reserved for aggressive posters. at least funguy10 is keeping his posts consolidated in this thread. That being said, I don't see why everyone says that they're not interested/impressed/etc with this hack, and then continue to come back here and say the same thing. What drives people to keep returning to a thread where they know that their comments won't do a lick of good for anyone?

I always thought NVA was a very "to the point name." However, I also find it to be very fitting, especially consider how to the point he/she/it is in its duties. I'm the treasurer of the NVA Fan Club.

That's just how message board polling is, I'm afraid. Personally, I think that people who vote without posting a reasoning aren't following the rules, which isn't very cool. I wouldn't go so far as to undo their vote/restrict their voting/whatever, but I definitely don't think it should go unchecked for a very long time. Otherwise, we get runs with 20yes/5no spreads, but only 1 no vote is explained. It casts an unnecessary shadow of doubt on the submission, and this can't be dispelled because we don't know what the problem is.

So why do the avatar options go from 1-8, and then skip all the way to 13? This apparently makes me angry! e: Ok, avatar doesn't seem to want to show up.
