Well, considering it would take ~2s to find, open, and equip Gold Armor, and then another ~2s to equip the upgraded shield, I don't think I'll ever be finding enough small projectiles that I could absorb and make up for that time.

The 'change' in the weapon is that it becomes stronger and faster once you attain Bronze Armor. Gold Armor is only there for magic/access to the shield. I'm not sure if I'm going to go through with this yet. Still seeing how a few things turn out.

What ROM are you using for this? I am using Phantasy Star - The End of the Millenium (U) [!].bin and yet I still get desynchs as soon as you are done talking with the principal. Also, I'm using Gens9f, if that changes anything.

Question: If I was, in fact, going to continue with making this run, would I have to pick up the Gold Armor? Since I will be using the dagger until the 7th level, should I stick with just the Bronze Armor until I need to find the Fairy Bracelet? I ask because it takes some seconds to open a chest with/equip the Gold Armor, and the Dragon spell is pretty useless to me.

Voting for N64. Namely, Blast Corps, since the preliminary levels mix both speed and style. People can divide their teams based on who uses which vehicle the best/has the best level strategy.

The front page should say: "Greeting, foul knave. Thou hast wandered into the lair of Dragon-assisted Dragon Videos that could possibly feature DRAGONS. Use the links provided to search the site for Dragon Videos and other dragon-oriented paraphernalia." Also, there should be a dragon somewhere saying this, and he is breathing fire. Oh, and dragons. COME ON PEOPLE! DRAGONS!

A wide array of DRAGONS! Since these come in varying color gradients, they could be used as movie subdivision avatars: Slightly larger ones could be used for the more major links, like the FAQ or forums: The more wirey ones and the larger sets, though... I have no idea what they would be used for: Also, if we did decide to make a forum for rejected/cancelled submissions: Bisqwit's new avatar >_> : AND A DRAGONZORD TOO!

Well, I wasn't serious about the dragon idea, but I guess it wouldn't hurt. So, erm, we can totally get some pixelated dragons from Ogre Battle 64 and use them to color code the hosted movie files based on their platform, right?

There you go. Fixed. Almost anyone with a few years of advanced programing will be able to break any encryption, given a little bit of time and energy. The safest method of encryption is when the sender and receiver use two different decryption methods that only their respective sides know. Complex, yes, and I won't try to remember how it works for fear of messing it up and looking like a fool on the internet.

I think fighting all three members of the Beastector in that one giant robot forms was also cool. Both fights are tied for me.

Specifically the Phoenix fight. I was very anxious for the whole fight for fear of falling. Also, for input, fighting Arma 3 in Demon's Crest, and killing Diaz in Hyrbid Heaven. Oh, and clashing with the paladins on the sacrificial rocks in Guild Wars

Unless some huge glitch or shortcut was discovered, this run would be around 4:15+, give or take. There are just too many unskippable cutscenes, not to mention tedious fights.

Keep in mind that Ness is not one of the 8 starting characters. Also, I still stand by Fox.

Ness' home run bat has no special properties. It is just a normal smash attack.

You have confused me into voting Yes. I will admit that I didn't expect backroom fist fights with pseudo-nazis or shoot outs with space-women, but I guess that's the kind of stuff that went down back in the day...

Although it has already been said, this run could be better. I hate to say it, since this game has so much potential. However, there were too many sloppy shots, wrong turns, and whatnot. There were countless corners that could have been cut, you could have handled the computer sequences much more quickly and fluidly, and it seems as if you went out of your way to kill a lot. This could definitely be brough under the hour mark, but it will require some more attention to details. Pay attention to picking up less ammo, refining your control, and not killing too many extraneous things. As far as I can recall, your route seemed pretty good at integrating eggs into your objective paths. Stick with it when you redo this.

Voting no. Far too repetetive, I'm afraid. I stopped watching at 100% speed after Pippen dunked 5 times in a row. I stopped watching at full turbo speed after the Bulls hit 50 points.

You warped to the wrong level. Killing Sardius by warping to him will end in a completed game ending. You need to warp to level 7-2 and finish off Belth I and Belth II in order to activate the Fairy Ring. To see what the beggining of the game is supposed to look like, watch this. Keep in mind, this was back from when I was getting the feel of Arthur, so you can see me dick around with Belth and miss a lot for fun. Hooray for bad physics! :)

Ooh, good question. The fights should last similar amounts of time, so that's not really a factor. I suppose it comes down to earlier possiblity of glitch use vs. wasting less time to get the soul. I dunno. Isn't the first useful place to use the glitch in the Gardens anyway? If so, it'd probably be better to wait until the garden.
As it stands, there are two ways this could work: 1) I do the first glitch, and then go one room to the right (as opposed to left) and fight the Manticore at a pretty low level. However, he will give me a nice exp bonus. I don't know if you can even get this soul in this fight, so... yeah. or 2) I take my path now, which is to reach where the first glitch needing a rush soul is (the garden). I plan on going one screen to the left to grab a Black Belt from a Werewolf, since I need the STR bonus. I could go one more room to the left and kill that Manticore, which will be a faster kill and won't lag me up with the soul-sphere thingy. That is my plight.

Quick update: -not dead, just swamped with work -will try to get some work done on this this weekend and over thanksgiving break -am still at skeleton knights, but i know how to read the memory thing... sorta. i just need hoe to clarify what his equation is for converting the memory read into a comparable number. nitsuja said he had looked into it, but i am told that he made no progress on that. -i am still contemplating whether or not the boss manticore is worth fighting, rather than the garden manticore. discuss.
