What do you mean 'fast walkthroughs'? I see them as a very rough idea of what the ideal path is with a some less than perfect playthroughs, but nothing worth submitting or even viewing unless youre getting a general idea of what must be done.

If youre using snes9x v5, it should auto-read what the settings for the smv are. Just make sure youre using the correct ROM and that you let the game play for about 15 seconds before you try to play the smv file. Otherwise, maybe you have some wierd sound/visual settings?

No flames here. I would post a WIP, but I'm barely to Arma and I get a desynch at the Hippogriff. Also, you're free to try this run. You might beat me.

There is already a 3 page thread for this game. Also, I am currently working on my eight version of the any% run. Most people agree that the 100% run will not be published. The password fight, although interesting, is apparently too vague to pique anyone's interest.

So far I have seen two people with Solar Jetman movies. Neither are anywhere near complete and both runners are unhappy with their movies. It will either take a very long time to get this game done, or someone will read this and start working right now.

Oh, this puts my movie to shame... This makes me wish I had gone the extra mile and made a 2P version. Aside from a few tiny tiny errors, this gets a "Yes, of course" vote from me. EDIT: Would have loved to see LESS Wheelie Rider :p

Mijae: Making these runs is a lot easier than we all initially think. Luck manipulation, although a hassle, is usually just a tedious 'what happens when i press THIS combonation of keys on THIS frame?'. Frame advance, although a bit trickier, is still pretty run of the mill. Just pause the emulator via File menu, then tinker around with the frame advance key (defauly /)whilst holding down your input keys. It's also a good idea to turn on your frame counter (default .)so that you aren't running around blindly. Anything else = feel free to join us in the IRC room, where some of us never sleep.

For anyone that needs it, here is zer0's Secret of Mana smv file. It's zipped, renamed, and on my server, but its the same exact file: http://www.geocities.com/aazurreco/Zero-SoMana.ZIP Also, good movie so far. I have nothing to add.

Harvest Moon actually has a set gameplay time (I think). There is nothing to really timeattack. YOu can, however, have a point competition whenever you want. Some intense gardening plots would be awesome. But yes, that isnt what I would call silly.

Welcome mijae :) About your movie; The game itself seems interesting and well worthy of a timeattack. You also seem to know the game really well, which makes me wonder why you dont feel capable of making a good movie for this game. It is obvious at some points that you got a bit lazy with rerecords or missed a good shot because of a lack of slowdown, but overall this alpha run was enough to pique my interests. Im sure that with a tiny bit more practise, you will be able to make a contending run for this. My only real advice to you is this: Only kill enemies that are in the way, dont waste time, or are necessary for levels Dont miss a single swing unless it affects enemy behavior. Not one. Feel free to do anything to control enemy behavior Test different strategies with getting through hazard spots/fighting bosses* *Examples: When in the air... palace... place, you made good use of the fireball spell. However, you could've used that in some choke points in the grassy area to clear a path and pick up some exp. Also, can you mix up sword and fire at the same time, or must the spell complete itself before you can swing? For the boss, can you sprint BEHIND the guy and just swing away? How about hiding on the left? Can you somehow conserve energy until when you get to him and then just go gung ho on him while taking damage?

I mean the space station. There is really nothing wrong with the metaknight reactor. All lasers hit, but I think I forgot to move the text forward for a few frames once that boss died. If you have seen my attempt at the Arena, you will see what is wrong with Nova reactor. You can cut out almost all of the backtracking by not destroying the second to last reactor core one forward approach.

Level select for this title can get you to the last boss immediately, which cuts the movie almost in half.

OgreSlayeR is more focused on Harmony of Dissonance than he is on Belmont's Revenge, although that really isnt saying much.

How many people thought that the current Rockman movies were the ultimate timeattacks for the games? How much faster are the current runs in progress? Exactly.

This is probably a really stupid request, but can you make it so that when playing back movies, you can alt-tab to the VBA window and not have to scroll over it to remind it that it is center stage? I sat back for 5 minutes when rewatching a movie assuming that it would move on its own, but because my mouse cursor was about 10mm from the window, it stayed frozen on frame 10 or something. Thanks.

The following movies are already in production: Megaman Zero 1 Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow add to the list if youre working on any. we really need a Circle of the Moon contender to finish the trifecta.

There is a major flaw with the fight with Nova Reactor. That is all for now... Also, I had forgotten that Kirby's head is pretty lethal...

No, he meant GB, GBC, and GBA. edit: McBAIN's Megazpeed has all of the megaman zero games right now. Nightcom's aria-of-sorrow.tk has a good newgame+ glitch run, and SDA has the two current legit newgame runs.

If Vicks or Wedge had done ANYTHING, it would have queued up an animation and therefore postponed Whelk's hiding in the shell. No attack they could do would make the fight faster.

Try to think of "meh" as the sound you make when you shrug; it's more of a vocal show of apathy and indifference. I think it was instituted to make a middle ground for all of the 'good but not great' or 'liked the movie but hate the game' votes. I'm unsure, though.

Actually, Jecy's movie is pretty flawed and doesn't use lots of glitches/advanced techniques (see Teri's damage boost method). Granted, the movie is awesome and I love every bit of it, but it is improvable by at least 1 minute. Just talk to BoltR, he knows.

We need to lobby to make 'submitation' a valid substitute for 'submission'. I have fallen in love with this word. Thanks Walker ;)
