I have found that 2 player movies are easier when you make dpad right for player 1 and player to assigned to the same key (cursor right, for instance). That way, you get 2 actions for one keystroke, which makes things easy. You can always reset the key config when this doesn't help anymore. Also, frame advance helps. A LOT.

There is no sound when any FMOD is chosen. I've tested 3 movies, each being tested twice, with my speakers at 100%, and nothing comes out. I doubt that my sound card is at fault here, but just for specs I have a SB Live! Audio card but am currently running sound through my motherboard (NVIDIA).

If you also want sound to play while it's inactive, you can set Sound Driver to "FMOD DirectSound" in the Sound Settings menu, but keep in mind that unfortunately this locks the "Sync samples with sound CPU" option off which a few movies need to play back right.
This does not work for my PC. In fact, only the snes9x direct sound setting works.

I agree with HSZZZ, this movie isnt really interesting to me. Sure, you beat the CPU really fast, but that doesn't mean that this is as entertaining as you make it out to be. This doesn't deserve to be published. At least your Ken submission was slightly entertaining. Maybe fighting games just don't have the diversity to make a good timeattack. Either you throw in inefficient combos to spice up the movie, or you stick with one boring combo through the whole movie.

This has been one of my only real problems with snes9x. I hate having to actually watch every frame of every movie that goes through snes9x, especially when I just need to hop 20 minutes into it. If this issue was fixed, I would be very grateful.

Better, but still tedious and lacking. upgrading to 'meh' status

Voted no. You show a huge lack of skill/finesse by running around with autofire on all the time. Only make shots that kill or are somehow aesthetically pleasing. Gameplay seemed uninspired and poorly planned. Also, playing on hard is practically required, and even if this were to be published, almost any movie, even if it is slower/sloppier, will obsolete it due to the hardest difficulty. and if you cant get Jyzero's link, here is a mirror: http://www.geocities.com/aazurreco/midnightresistance-Jyzero.zip

Voted yes, if not for the impressive movie, then at least for the fact that it beats the current record.

I would rather see this on the hardest difficulty.

Yes, Im currently starting my 9th attempt at Demon's Crest. It is a minimalist run. I might follow with a 100% sometime later. I don't know. PM me for any info on MMZ or Demons Crest.

When are you submitting your movie to SDA? (I spoke to McBAIN about this a few days ago). I'd love to chat about this, but I wont be trying a serious run for this game until VBA gets a bit more ironed out. Also, I think I will let Ouranos have this one if he decides to try it.

If anyone wants to take a gander at my little test movie for Megaman Zero 1: http://www.geocities.com/aazurreco/ZMM0test.ZIP Uses the Megaman Zero (U).gba ROM Also, I/we noticed an interesting and annoying little flaw in 'record from reset'. After I got really pissed off at not being able to continue from my first test run (dont ask, it just wasnt working and erassed attempt 1, which made me make an even faster movie), I had to start a new recording. I chose to record from reset and made my movie. However, when I replayed it, the movie began like 3 minutes into my first movie. Why it does this, I dont know. All I know is that a few people had this problem and all you have to do to get around it is pause, play movie, reset, unpause. I'm not sure if it is a flaw on my part or not, but I am certain that I chose to record from reset.

The run looks great so far. Does anyone know who will be taking up the run after this one is done? Also, going through the second belome fight at the fastest emulated speed is very very entertaining.

If you are using the newest version of FCEU (blip's patch), you should get this screen when you initiate recording: Just select 'from reset' and all will be good. If you don't have this choice, update your FCEU version.

Not bad, not bad. My only qualm is that your Dedede fight isn't optimised. A 'perfect' (according to the game's engine) run through him makes a totally different sound when you beat him. See my movie as an example.

I get a desynch in the beggining of the fire area. I'm going to check again really quick. edit: Yeah, you run straight into the first little fireball in the fire level. Sorry for the bad news.

Well, some require CPU help, but not 2players. You just need to know how to trick the helpers into, uhh, helping.

Is anyone still interested in a 100% Great Cave Offensive movie? I'm debating if this would be worthy of submission/publishing right now, since I'm in between projects. Just looking for some input right now. And I think I might be trying this as a 1 person 2 characters movie...
