Neat. Any applications for that, or is just one of those tidbits? (Asking seriously, since that can be read as being sarcastic)

See I'm the exact opposite, I already think this season is fantastic. I mean, we finally got resolution to the Malachite and Cluster arcs after months of waiting, for one thing. Plus, 'Hit the Diamond' in general is easily one of the best episodes the crew has ever made.

Wait, so you're not submitting the finished run because it won't sync all the way through? Just want to be clear on this.

This run was ok. It certainly dragged in some parts, but it never got outright boring. Yes vote.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone got a ton of different ports. I personally grew up with this version, but it sure doesn't mean I'll be continuing it. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/31288298610334745 WIP of what I did finish. For anyone looking to pick this up, there is an unfinished video guide that can be found here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNOUOE9YHiMRWwb5dqO7pccLkEjxFilhv and a wealth of resources can be found here http://www.speedrun.com/hp1ps1/guide/2djbm Additionally, here's the current WR, which uses every major trick except Fire Seed Skip. -Default assets -Maps are boring to look at, with large amounts of empty space -Battles are just attack as much as possible, status effects plain don't work -Fights are laughably easy, don't even need to heal unless you get poisoned. -Plot makes no sense, and stops giving you directions after you deliver the moon stone. Characters and writing are uninspired. -The forest maze is complete bullshit that is harder then the rest of the game. -You can't save unless the game wants you to, for no reason -Pikachu is way too slow, with no way to run. -Game keeps railroading you instead of letting you have fun. -Can only teleport on the 1-2 tiles on the edge of the screen, instead of just whenever you reach the edge of the screen. -The map is some weird custom thing that makes no sense because it doesn't tell you where you are. 1/10, overall. Complete waste of time in its current state.

I really don't see how it's lying if the author requests to not be credited. Vince used like maybe one trick's worth of Masterjun's input without consulting him about it, so clearly Masterjun had no real involvement in the final run. A lie would be to put his name in the credits simply because some of his input was used, as that implies he willingly had a hand in it. Whatever, maybe I'm not explaining that well, but this conversation is kind of silly :p

Just the fact that I can’t comprehend how the site would write “Authors: vince” and not include Masterjun when the site itself recognizes him as an author. A casual viewer would read that nonethewiser and not know Masterjun was involved… even though he was. That’s lying to your audience. With book publishers and ghostwriting, whenever an uncredited ghostwriter is found out everyone flips their shit because that shit isn’t right. Just because people/publishers do it doesn’t mean it’s right to do. I don’t understand how you can lie like that.
It's not lying, he asked not to be credited. As in, he himself asked not to be credited. So we're honoring his wishes by not crediting him. This really isn't that hard dude, can you please drop it? I understand wanting to set something right, and I do see your point, but you've already gotten a valid answer just right now.

Well, anyway, I thought this run was decent. It was certainly an improvement over your prior submission, vince. I'll give it a Yes.

Question: Why not just ask Masterjun if he wants credit on this movie? Geez.

That game was on the NES and uses a completely different engine. The current Turtles in Time run uses one player to skip enemies.

How different would a TAS of English version be from this run? I wonder how mush faster it can be compared to the very first published run despite having less glitches than Japanese version does.
About an hour or so faster I'm guessing.

Hm, I say we should decide once we see the run first. If it really is as massive of a change as you say, then I'd be down for a name change.

I'm confused. Isn't there a video on how to enter the moat door? Why not reverse-engineer how to do it from that?

TASvideos: where a discussion on low% branches spirals into a psychological discussion about respect, community, deertier, PMs, betrayals, and tl;dr posts. But seriously, someone just make/finish/submit a low% TAS and we'll judge it then. Geez.

Bit late, but yeah I agree if a new 100% TAS were to be made it should avoid stuff like the S/T beam and the GT code, and instead incorporate all non memory corruption techniques or cheats, like the old one.

It's allowed as long as it changes a substantial part of the game, and not just like a graphic hack.
