Now I'm well aware ahead of time that the majority opinion is going to be leaning towards Alyosha, due to how nice he is and his high level of output. That's completely fine, it's your opinion of course, and let me preface this by saying that I think Alyosha is a fantastic member of the community. But, in my honest opinion, being TASer of the year is about more then just obsoleting a large amount of old movies. While I can recognize that Alyosha was doing a task that should have been done a while ago, I don't feel this sort of goal should translate into TASer of the year, which i'll explain. TASing is basically an art form, and the best way for this to be represented is with it being entertaining. If I'm completely, totally honest, quite a few runs Alyosha has done really aren't that entertaining, for example Arumana no Kiseki or Quattro Adventure: Boomerang Kid. This mainly derives as a result of many runs from the 2004/2005 era being basic NES games, with an occasional SNES game. As a result, as Alyosha redoes these runs for a new age, he's basically bringing forth what was good in an old age, 10 years ago, into a new age. That's not to say that all his runs are boring. Quite the contrary, there's quite a few good ones, Umihara Kawase and Kabuki: Quantum Fighter being some good ones. So who do I think should be TASer of the year, considering my opposition of Alyosha? This has to be someone who is notable for not only being as good of a forum member as Alyosha, but also having a more entertaining pool of movies. The answer's obvious, don't you think? Samsara. Yeah, a year ago that sentence would be quite the laugh, but this is not a year ago. A lot has changed since then, the biggest of which is Samsara. Gone are the days when she would basically troll a topic. Now, she's easily one of the most proactive members of the site, completely cleaning up her act to be a respectable member. Of course personality isn't everything, and in the runs department Samsara has an incredible range. I mean, except for perhaps Riddle of the Sphinx, Samsara has shown an ability to choose a multitude of games from a wide variety of consoles, and has made an entertaining run out of all of them. Earnest Evans with its crazy flinging about, Coca Cola Kid with its sonic speed, and Splatterhouse showing how to make autoscrollers great. So that's the reason I'm nominating her instead. (P.S. I am well aware Samsara and Alyosha collaborated to do the first Umihara. For the sake of argument I excluded it)

your PROBLEM is clear, but the exact situation is unclear because we don't understand the context, so this topic is going nowhere because you're being stubborn about it for some reason. Let's say, for example, you originally posted a nice post in like a wrong topic, and got a nasty admin reply. That wouldn't be ok, and you'd be justifiably angry about it. But let's say you derailed a thread with an argument, or maybe used an example that was bad, and then got a nasty admin reply. That would completely changed the whole situation. We literally have nothing to talk about because we don't know who did what, or why it happened, or who the hell you were even talking to. How is the problem supposed to be resolved if we don't fully understand the situation? I mean seriously, when like 5 people are telling you to explain the context, it's probably a little bit more then 'oh, they want me to badmouth this person.' So let me be. As blunt. As possible. Post the context so we can understand who did what, and how to fix the problem.

Obviously you didn't, because people keep asking you to elaborate. Please elaborate.

Hey Warp post what the private conversation was about, and stop ignoring like 10 people saying you need to reveal exactly what was said.

Well the problem here is that we don't know the context of the argument. So this discussion is a bit pointless unless we know about it, which we don't. I'm not saying forum moderation should not be taken seriously, but the CONTEXT of the rudeness is pretty key.

Yeah, basically what happens is you hit a trigger too early and it scews with his AI, or if you activate a cutscene too quickly or something. Makes the first part of the chase heck on earth. In terms of progress, just entered the sewer. I'll upload another WIP when I'm completely done with it, which will take a while.

Yeah it does. The Venom chase sequence in particular can get majorly screwed up if you're too fast.

I agree, considering the standards of 2004 the sheer amount of output Alyosha's been having is crazy. You've done good work this year :)

Do you think we'll ever get a good Spider-man game with Spider-man 2's web physics? That would be the bomb.

[2881] GC Tony Hawk's Underground 2 by Fog in 08:26.17 edit: also [2009] Wii Muramasa: The Demon Blade "Momohime" by RachelB in 1:04:59.75, seeing as how there's no starred Wii games yet. It's an awesome run.

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/27811804850475003 Found a few tricks, biggest of which is getting out of bounds at the beginning of level 3, which lets me completely skip all obstacles and lets me grab every hostage immediately.

http://tasvideos.org/TasingGuide/BasicTools.html Also the version of Bizhawk you're using is a tad outdated. I would recommend updating it to 1.11.4, the current version. http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=424503#424503

Such a silly comment by Samsara. He already had 100 percent approval. What. Is 100 percent approval not good enough? I mean really.
