I think a Bare Knuckle 3 Very Hard no-death run would be more fun to watch. It's certainly possible with no rerecords (I almost had it a couple of times) and I imagine it'd be less frustrating than going through the game without being hit. Note: In all likelyhood it's probably really easy. It's just that I suck.

My brother seems to be in the arcade run scene, and he'd like me to share some of his stuff. Currently he's finished an all-kill, all-collect run of Metal Slug, a run for Gigawing with a 14 digit score starting with a 6, and is currently working on the first Dungeons & Dragons. The Giga Wing run doesn't work (it gives me an error when I load it).

Yes, but not better enough to justify making TASes of them in my opinion.

That's because Gradius is inferior. That's right, I said it.

With all the near-perfected crazy superplays of manic shooters, TASes of them would be almost pointless.

I could see the progress on this: Nitsuja: Bah, I don't like Icecap 2 that much, so I think I'll just skip it all together. Come on, Mushroom Hill 1, end...ah screw it, I'm going ahead to the next act. And while I'm at it, I think Flying Battery 2 deserves a new background... Seriously, the level of ownage achieved on top of what was already my favorite TAS on the whole site is simply staggering. You just replaced SprintGod as my favorite TASer ever. Congrabulations. Star IMMEDIATELY.

Heh, I remember playing DKL2, especially Slime Climb. That level was a real bitch because the slime is like that found in Toxic Tower (i.e. it hurts you if you land in it at all). I ended up breaking my Game Boy over that level. So...yeah.

Ok, for some reason when I play the movie back I get nothing and my mouse controls the paddle while the movie's playing. Going into Input only confuses me further. 99% chance I'm retarded and there's some obvious setting that I don't know about.

I have more than 70 WIPs. :) See, that's the thing. Work on too many runs and you'll never finish any of them.

No, just something I felt like saying (it seems people want to learn a whole new language these days, especially Japanese, at the drop of a hat).

Isn't that a good reason to start learning Japanese? ^___^ No, actually.

I think I might be getting TAS withdrawl, I might take a shorter break than intended because I'm getting that urge to work on a run. I wish I got that...

No it hasn't...it's just that you might not live long enough to see it released.

UMK3 is more action-packed because they've got a combo-system baked into it. Not just that, but the combos are much less limited than they are in MKII, hence making them more exciting than just jumpkick-sai shot-roll-jumpkick-sai shot (and that's one of the better ones in MKII). Not to mention more characters for Shang Tsung to morph into (and the addition of the Ground Eruption move). Yet I feel it's more of a skill to cook up combos that no one thought of before, and pack them in a TAS. Of course, which is why I think UMK3 is the better choice. You don't even have to use the automatic ground combos to do something that's worthy of seeing in a TAS. There is a lot more room to think of a variety of combos that are different when the system isn't so limited like it is in MKII. MK2 and UMK3 are two diffrent games, so please leave it like that. I know, but what I'm trying to get at is that this TAS is about as good as it's going to get, even if you do throw the crazy glitches in there.

It really needs to be more action-packed than this. There's one fundamental flaw that prevents this: it's Mortal Kombat II. Ultimate MK3 would be a lot more action-packed and fun in my opinion.

It's not as easy as recalculating all savestates later in the movie than the one you load, because you might be testing something and want to go back to a later savestate afterwards. Well, if you're recording, wouldn't loading a previous savestate mean that the later savestate is ruined anyway?

3) LOL, I still remember the hoo-ha after the forum page was changed to the double column layout. But I guess after a while, when people get used to it, it should be alright, just like the forum now :) Bleh. I still don't like it, to be honest. Then again I'm probably the only person who feels that way.

Or just do what I did and pick a game with high entertainment value that masks your incredibly poor TASing skills. *nervous smile* *thumbs up*

Through the second Yamato now. I know, it's pretty redundant, but there wasn't a whole lot I could do. Should I keep the finisher to the second Yamato or use something that's faster?

Another case of bias (because I discovered it), but the two-player downward attack bug in Streets of Rage 3 is downright crazy because of the damage it produces versus all the other moves in the game.

If I ever get done with my current run (and if arcade emulation support gets a lot better), then I call dibs on Alien vs. Predator with 3 players.

Desynchs for the two games I've tried (Final Fight and Cadillacs & Dinosaurs). Maybe it's because some fighting games don't like being TASed...
