Isn't this new route kind of bad for a TAS due to the different timing method? You warp to the very first part of the credits, which means that some textboxes will have to be cleared, while the previous route skipped them.
For what is the ocarina actually needed right now? I assume for more than just navigating during the camera lock, right?

I have always been of the opinion that any run that warps to the credits fails to beat the game, so if beating the game is one of your objectives for the run u are going for (which it usually is), then warping to the credits doesn't accomplish your goal. I see warping to the credits as a way of softlocking the game.
It's an old category with legacy rules. It also doesn't relly make sense that it has to defeat Ganon, but there it is. For a category with more modern rules look no further than All Dungeons. It can use RBA, GIM and warp to the credits.

There are some trees with nuts. Getting nuts from trees actually was in the any% route when ganonless with FW was the fastest known route (sadly that was too short of a time to ever see a TAS)
