xvi32 will edit it, though since it's a hex editor, it won't be the friendliest option, but it works.
I looked into it some... I'm not sure how to add a few empty frames into the middle of my file. There is a dialog heavy section before I know if the manipulation had any effect. I'm skipping dialog by hand each time for now. Most of this hex and scripting stuff goes over my head. There's nothing wrong with doing it the old fashioned way!

Any work on this is postponed due to emulation problems.

New Part 1 http://youtu.be/bAOyDwuXEy0 Part 2 http://youtu.be/_x0AivG8dbk Part 3 http://youtu.be/AHTB1_UZEzE Part 4 http://youtu.be/weWnwIlxvsg Part 5 http://youtu.be/i5ul7I3Phu4 Magic does 2 damage on every enemy in the prison thus isn't used(Except Shana on the boss fight). Double Slash is used throughout because it can't be countered. Volcano only does 1 more damage and takes two or three times as many frames to use. Enemies die in the same amount of turns regardless of the addition used. The first thing to do is find ram addresses and game mechanics. For instance, in Omnicent's disc 1 run he uses Charm Potions to reset his random encounter timer(Shown as a colored arrow above character.) This isn't shown on the world map but there are still random encounters there. After timing this I find it is faster. The inventory limit is 32 items. How many do I buy? Can I use these on the world map as well? There are no random encounters in the prison segment. The game is completely turn based so the only way I have found to change an enemies attack pattern is to use a different command myself. No waiting for rng frames to come up. I'm trying to contact Omnicent to do some route planning but his youtube run was done 3 years ago. I can't locate him. More progress to come Tuesday. I'll work on the boss to see how many of each item I need. (Healing Potions, Spark Nets) The runs/walkthroughs I've seen say you need to kill all 4 of the bosses henchmen before the boss himself. I would like to test this next. Edmund let me know if you are interested in contributing through route planning/Game Mechanics. All I'm going on now is Gamefaqs and Omnicent's disc 1 playthrough.

There seems to be less interest in this than the FF runs... but it's still made by squaresoft! .pjm file about 27 minutes in: http://www.mediafire.com/?042wssmtv5zg11z Encode down a few posts. More progress and an actual exciting (hopefully) boss battle coming up.

2.0.2 dual shock emulation on/off doesn't seem to do anything Selecting either the analog or digital option box in controller configuration gives me the two posted screens

I think its something to do with analog being hacked in. In either case these are the last screens displayed before fading to black and freezing. Analog turned on Analog turned off

This was my next big idea but after the analog controller required screen it goes black and stays black. I thought analog input had been implemented.

While it comes late, this movie file must surely have... A small fraction of 1-4. Eh, sorry about that. But I'm having some trouble handling the RNG to make the next helicopter appear in just the right place. That is, straight up, straight left, or straight right. Diagonals are certainly slower, as the helicopter travels diagonally away from the player, and if we can get it to appear straight in some direction, we can slow down the helicopter by moving back and forth around some axis, getting us to the heli sooner. If I did have perfect luck, the second helicopter might look like this. Only trouble is telling the RNG to behave. If anyone needs an updated script, I'll be sure to post or edit an update in. EDIT: Here, edited the current script. Anyone from the DTC3 willing to take a look? I now realize why I've been putting off this run for as long as I did, and trying to get the closest thing to a perfect run is proving rather tricky here. I'm having a difficult time judging how to tweak the RNG perfectly here.
The quest for perfection has caused everyone to quit many runs... I say save it for v2 in a few years. I don't want you to completely quit TASing again.

I'm not familiar with the game. Is the egg on the island required for your run goals? Are you asking if you should make a speed/entertainment tradeoff?

I fell asleep somewhere on disc 2. It's not quite as entertaining as disc 1...

I guess I jumped the gun. I really cant figure out the internal recorder. Every setting looks terrible. Splicing the audio in seems time consuming as well.

You're much better off using PSXjin's internal recording feature and then splicing together the resulting videos, by the way.
What codec and settings do I use along with it? Default setting clearly didn't work. How do I remove the "file" toolbar from the window?

I need to pause the video playback somewhere? I clicked open disc from the file menu when the insert disc screen came up and chose disc 2. Video playback stopped and the disc 2 demo loop started to play

I just realized I have no idea how to swap discs while a movie file is playing.

How do I skip through the first 3 hours? I found you can hold turbo and deselect the window then let go of turbo to keep it in turbo mode while you work on other things on your computer. I tried fraps in windows 7 with capturing the entire desktop. While this sort of works with psxjin windowed there are still the menus and borders. It should be under 400GB with fraps' slight compression. Currently watching...

I'm pretty sure it is based off of PCSX. Games that do not work on that will not work with psxjin.

Is it bad that I've never played these? My first Tomb Raider experience was Legend.

I would if I knew how. I usually use fraps but I'm pretty sure psxjin's video output is something other than directdraw. I don't know proper settings for the internal avi recorder.
