3. The Settlers II (Die Siedler II) - the best of the Settlers series, which (if I'm right about this) would be the first top-down strategy game to grace TASVideos (StarCraft for N64 was never completed, unfortunately).
I didn't mention this because the game is an incredibly slow one even at 2x speed. Unless they used the cheat code to speed the game up to 3 or 4x, it will be a boring tas. btw, isn't apogee, 3drealms?

I'm not sure how or why they would program a animation routine to be an exception to the frame check for mario's water state, what makes you even suspect such?

No$GBA does DS games fairly well (though sound is terrible, but that may be my pc only barely achieving full speed).

Duke Nukem 3D (PC, not the n64 one, though the n64 one is a better overall game)
Blood (monolith) (this game is simply the best)
Warcraft 2 (excellent yet basic RTS)
Milo The Fuel Run (awesome platformer)
several Soleau Software games (this company knew how to make good puzzle games)
Cannon Fodder 1 (excellent gameplay)
Alien Carnage (awesome platformer)
Blake Stone AOG (good FPS)
Hocus Pocus (awesome, yet a little repetitive platformer, not much enemy variation)
Monster Bash (all parts) (excellent platformer)
I wouldn't mind also seeing a TAS of these games along with several that NACH mentioned.

A large portion of people posting about krohnmaster have not read up about it before they post. Most yell at him to make a M64 file when he 'can't' because it was a once off thing that just happened to occur while he was video taping himself play. ok, now shush up about it all, chances of it being faked are indeed still high, but now we don't need to discuss it anymore since a m64 file is not likely due to the nature of a 'once off' glitch.

And on the topic of breaking into the moat door, is it possible to BLJ inside the castle wall and enter the door from the other side?
Even if it was possible, you would end up on the wrong side of the door after going through it.

You DO know what pre-recording IS, right? record you using the gameshark and then cut out the bits showing the gameshark logo etc. and adding that cheated part into your video collage. How does prerecording instantly mean you did not record yourself tapping the buttons? you were there, playing it with a cheat on, of course you needed to press buttons, of course the sounds were recorded. Anyways, since... 1) you said you can't repeat the trick (said this numerous times) 2) you repeated the trick numerous times in Mupen64 3) claim to be able to make a movie but making excuses so you don't need to share it. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF IT LAGS! YOU ARE RECORDING KEY INPUT, IF YOU DO IT WHILE RECORDING THEN UPLOAD THE FILE. (he speaks as though he is making an avi)

ZSNES still has core randomness in it which is why it isn't that good for TAS'ing. SNES9x doesn't suffer from core randomness which is why a lot of work has been done on it in the TAS community. ZSNES v2.0 is aimed to fix/replace the core with something that doesnt suffer from randomness.

If the cheat is retro active, then I will join everyone in saying it is fake. The only way he can prove himself (by means other then being a complete jack ass) is by providing a M64 file.

So everyone thinks it is fake? can the under water GS code be enabled/disabled on the fly or does it apply to specific area's? (like a code for outside the castle, one for the basement, etc. etc.) because after he goes through the door, he hops out of water and dives back in and is swimming. EDITED.

Ignoring my precious post in this thread, 100% runs better demonstrate what a game has to offer and people who have not played a particular game before, will more likely try games that look to offer what they are after. It is easier to find a game that offers what you want from looking at lengthy more detailed video's, then from short glitched to the max video's.

The "Play It Now" link uses an emulater that FAILS to emulate the game properly, the graphics are all crappy. xD

and I don't remember any rupee chests that don't require special gear to get.
There are 2 IIRC, it is just the lack of bombs that stop you getting them ;)

100% should not be done for this game. The purpose of heats, bottles, etc is to make the game easier. Getting all these items would just take an extra 10 minutes or so, adding nothing in terms of entertainment as far as I can tell. An ideal example of a game that should be 100%ed is DKC2. Getting all the coins, does not make anything easier, it opens up new levels, and it has an in game percent measure, showing that you have indeed gotten 100% (102% in this case). Lttp has none of these things.
getting all the hearts, bottles and inventory items would be interesting since I don't think there is a video that shows where everything is in the game and it would be interesting seeing how you can approach the various objects in a glitched manner. (there are text FAQs.)

So far these issues are with Snes9x 1.51+ v5.2. 1a) the current resolution is set to 1280x720 when it is actually set to 1280x960 1b) It doesn't fill the screen when disabling the aspect ratio correction (the option makes the screen narrow (5:4?) instead of 4:3) 1c) doubles the refresh rate to 120hz when I want 60hz. 2a) 640x480 refresh rate is 0hz which means the emulator defaults to my desktops which is 85hz. this resolution fills the screen though. these issue's are with the Direct 3D renderer.
