This seems to be fixed in 1.9.3 when playing the emulator in fullscreen mode, in windowed mode the issue persists. I've also noticed that if you enable the "NES in QuickNES" option and use "Vsync Throttle" together instead of "Clock Throttle", the frame rate will be limited to 100FPS even if you enable vsync/have Aero enabled. My monitor runs at 60hz for reference.

Has anybody noticed this glitch before?
- He goes up the elevator
- Gets the key from the outside
- Returns down the elevator
- Passes through area where the door should've been, without realizing that the door magically disappeared before he ever reached it
- He now has an extra key to use in the dungeon
I'm assuming they're playing on an actual NES and not emulation.
Windows 10 x64 9926
Taskbar located along the bottom of the screen
1) Maximize the emulator
2) double click it to enter fullscreen mode
3) Bug = Emulator doesn't appear over the top of the taskbar
4) double click again to exit full screen and enter a restored Window mode
5) double click to return to fullscreen mode, now it is properly fullscreen
You could also just double click while the window is restored to begin with to avoid the bug.
Well:
1) Wouldn't it make more sense to say "nothing" instead of "an Oxoo"?
2) Enabling the option causes the emulator to display snow, so the first word should be changed to disabling.
So it should say "Disabling this displays nothing instead." Or alternatively "Disabling this option will result in the emulator displaying nothing instead of snow."
Sorry, what I meant was that disabling the option does not result in the emulator displaying "Oxoo", I don't even know what Oxoo IS. Also in my image included in my previous post, a part of the description of the fullscreen Hacks setting doesn't seem to make much sense in terms of wording (It should be reworded slightly).
Probably change it to:
(Since in Microsoft's new and disimproved operating systems, windowed mode applications may have higher latency.)
or
(Since in Microsoft's new and disimproved operating systems, windowed mode may have higher latency.)
I mean I can kinda see what you mean with the word "things" it just doesn't gel right imho. I realize I'm being a bit pedantic here.
Every so often the audio blips/boops/emits wrong tone while I have configured the emulator to enable Vsync and Clock Throttle or Vsync Throttle. When the emulator is configured to Audio Throttle the emulator instead stutters.
Since I can't adjust the audio buffer, I don't foresee any way to resolve this. I have tried both the QuickNES and NESHawk core's.

Wouldn't it just be wiser to call the option "Windowed Fullscreen" or something and remove the lengthy explanation of what it actually does (Maybe keep the warning about increased latency)? Also there seems to be no difference between 4x and 5x window size.
Edit: by default my Back button on my Logitech 310 controller was bound to Rewind and Fastforward by default (Rewind seemed to take precedence).
The audio is prone to crackling if I have a dialog box open that doesn't pause the emulation, in addition to this it also crackles when entering Fullscreen display mode. It's also possible to easily get the emulator in to a state where it crackles regardless of what is going on. Latency slider has no effect on this issue.
If I configure the fullscreen mode to use Double Buffering and enter fullscreen mode, the frame rate drops significantly, setting it to Wait for Vblank fixes this though. Is Double Buffering aimed at 120FPS users (ie: halves the frame rate)?
Edit: The Restore Defaults button in the audio settings doesn't seem to reset the latency slider as well.
What do the various talisman do? One of them lets you attack while as a monkey but what about the rest? This question is just an in general question, not specifically targeting the TAS.
So "Added" = brand new TAS and "Updated" = modified existing TAS? Then why are modified existing tases listed on the page for new (latest) publications and not in a different category that is more uh, appropriate for that type of thing? Modifying an existing publication doesn't (in my opinion) make it new.
So there's still no way after several years now to just view new publications/links to new runs that obsoleted old runs? I used to visit the Published Movies forum when the new website went up but that too is now constantly bumped by ancient movies making it needlessly difficult to keep track of recent new publications.
Also one would normally think the NewMovies page would link you to recent publications, not ancient publications that have a fancier video encode (or typo fix) uploaded for it.
Also, how do you search for threads you've created? I can only seem to search for posts I've made :/
It looks like the search function is geared toward searching for posts. Currently you can "Search previous:" for "topic title and message text" and "message text only". You would need an option for "topic title only" to be able to search for threads you've made.
I'm aware of that and would like to see that made an option.

The link takes you to a very old submission and not the latest. Also, how do you search for threads you've created? I can only seem to search for posts I've made :/
I finally finished this run! This also is finally a VVVVVV TAS that does not use glitches (kinda... (SPOILERS) ).
I thought I finally found a recent decent TAS, but nope. I got a lie to the face instead. Frequent glitching throughout and constantly switching gravity when it was unnecessary (for no conceivable reason other than to ruin the one thing that could've somewhat redeemed this TAS, the music).
A for effort.
This will not only be glorious when they enable support for more frame rates but also probably a detriment. It could mean my internet connection will no longer be suitable for watching 720p videos as more and more people upload 60fps videos and Youtube starts feeding me 60fps footage...
Yeah but how do you apply it? I'm unfamiliar with the interface required to input it with. I'm familiar with applying Game Genie/Pro Action Replay codes though as they typically have a very straight forward interface in emulators.
In several Command and Conquer games, the computer can simultaneously give orders to units at far-flung locations in a way that a human player could never do because, ultimately, he's limited by the map's scrolling speed.
You can move your view of the map using the minimap if you have a radar though, so once you have a radar it's not that unfair anymore.
And like many RTS' games, you can quickly jump to where a Squad was located by double tapping the Squad Group hotkey. You can have multiple groups of units assigned to multiple squads making it possible to quickly manage multiple squads of units if the frequent sudden camera jumping didn't make you vomit.
Something I liked about Red Alert 2 and Tiberian Sun was that the camera coasted to a stop when scrolling, most games these days forgo that nicety or make it extremely subtle :/
