Not bad, i'm impressed. just one question, How is this game very grind heavy? is it that there are powerful bosses that you need to level massively to beat? or am i completely off?

THe Maui Mallard improvement i'm working on might take a bit, due to the fact, that college life sometimes gets in the way. I might her more done over the break. I might need an extension.

There are plenty of pages on the site that has this kind of information. Go to the home page and then Articles, I think that is were everything is placed. To continue a movie, load the old movie and continue recording. Make sure, read only, is Unchecked. As for picking a game, I would be wise. start with a game that has already been done, and follow it. Basically this will help you learn to TAS. When it finally comes down to it, just remember that just because its a game, doesn't mean it can be TASed. we get a lot of submissions that are rejected because of game choice! Good luck and hpe to see a TAS by you soon!

he probably hasn't or he would know that sequence breaking this game by getting less than four giants doesn't work.

unless of course new glitches are discovered, a new route is uncovered and there is a a new sequence break, then yes, but then the TAS will beat it again

well first someone has to plan a route. then they will figure out how to level. generally with RPG's all unnecessary battles are skipped

I say we watch Casablanca, I want to learn about Bogart! maybe for easy reference we have an older newer section. This might help to know which runs need to be updated. apparently there are still runs on the site form 2005 that can be torn apart even more. I say do it by year, and when all the videos of that year are gone, delete that category.

you only need to use the Japaneese version if there is a major time saving glitch or bug that isnt in the american version. The reason the J rom isnt being used is that it makes no difference on gameplay

when you load your video, make sure its not in read only mode. WHen you go to play a movie, make sure that READ ONLY is UNCHECKED. there will be a box next to it. Play your movie, load a savaestate and it should be fine. otherwise that your facing a desync, and there is nothing your could do about that

Someone tried to do it a while ago, but never got around to finishing it. If master quest is going to be done, it has to be an all dungeons run. Someone tried to do an RBA of master quest, without any of the dungeons. It wouldn't be accepted. Anyway, it would be for the N64 though it was only released in Japan there. i think someone took the Gamecube ROM and made it for N64 in English. TO sum up my point and answer your question, if someone makes and all dungeons run, and it is of high playing quality, then YES it will be accepted.

I am very impressed with not just this run, but the game its self, for a GBA game the graphics are beautiful. You can really tell Nick put alot of money into the game. As for the run, jlun2, keep up the good work

It was an interesting TAS, but I think there could be a little cleaning up to do. Certainly manipulating hits is the way to go, it looks bad hitting an enemy and having it not die. This shouldn't be too difficult. Also what is up with the timer? Is that a glitch? It changes second like every 5 seconds. Anyway, I found the game play to be a bit repetitive, are there any other moves you can use?even if that one move is the most powerful, it seemed kinda boring. As for the final boss of the first stage, he does a move to you that depletes almost half his health. then, you don't use the move again? did not have enough health to get hit again? Other than that, nice Job. It was impressive when I first saw it. With some cleaning up it could be great!

i really didn't find this run entertaining. Plus with all the dashes, you dash at a wall and stay there under the boost for a bit, would you let go a little bit earlier so that you go to the same place, but you don't waste frames by not moving? anyway, Meh vote, leaning towards No

Yes i agree, the GC version is the way to go. I remember watching it on SDA and I was amazed! Plus the ones on the Wii are just remakes, so there's no change.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/655658296/Maui%20Mallard%20in%20Cold%20Shadow%20(U).smv Need some help here. After making some improvements (Now 72 frames ahead) I lost three frames in 2-2 due to bad enemy placement. Now I'm in 2-3 and I lost one frame to begin with as a frame rule. I had an idea that instead of jumping between the two arched platforms, it might be faster to jump to the ledge above and run across. It was faster, and I ended up saving about 6 frames. The problem is, that I lose at least two frames for the next Jump. I have not been able to do it without losing these two frames. can someone help me?
