I know why it's this I think, I'll get in IRC as soon as I can, but diggi, it's probably because it's a WiiWare game, try to get the pointer on a wii or a gc game then use this for the wiiware games, I had this once for Sonic 4 ^_^

Sorry to be not working on it, tests and such, that annoys me a lot, and also, for your error it might also come that you have a GC controller plugged on Dolphin, check if no GC is plugged (not a true GC but in dolphin settings), also, try to delete your save of Wii :p

29 frames may be different times if he's talking about Frame and not VI, VI is in all case 60fps, Frame is fps dependant, Megaman might be 4 by 4 frames, take the VI counting!
(wished I could help, but I have 6 tests ;()

I meant when you have to go from left to the right, if there is a ladder you can grab it then release it on first frame and it saves time, take for example 0:27 in your video, there is a ladder you can grab then release on first frame while moving right, it will saves 3-4 frames :)

Very nice thus far! I do have one question. In the room at 1:06, would it be faster to dispose of the first Rush Coil by going into the menu and back out to use again after instead of waiting for Rush to leave the screen to use him again?
I just tested it, it's slower :p

So I was testing agwawaf suggestions, and I thought something and it seems that we can save 3 frames using ladders, like going into them then pressing at first frame possible the button to release the ladder :D
Poor Angerfist :(
I'll post my conclusions about agwawaf tests soon ;D

Sorry about that, seems the zip was compressed with LZMA instead of Deflate. Try again, see if it works now.
So, it opens now, and it seems to work for the most part, but it bugs out whenever I try to copy over frames that have no input.
This is what happens. The left is what I'm copying, the right is what gets pasted into the new file.
Trying to save the file returns the error: "Requested value '80 80 9A' was not found."
When I try to fix the cells manually by typing in the correct values, I still get an error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
Am I doing something wrong?
It's an internal error I guess.

Right. While airborne, Mega Man's horizontal speed is set to max. Also, there's no sliding feature, so wall hugging doesn't change vertical/horizontal acceleration, but it does allow Mega Man to continue forward on the first frame he loses contact with the wall.
I still think this route has to be faster than the in-game time route that starts with Tornado Man. I was reviewing Richard Gibson's run, and there doesn't seem to be much we're missing by not having Tornado Blow right off the bat. Not all of the tactics he used save 74 frames. Then there's also the fact that the C.shot/laser trident is used on every beam in Magma man's stage which is completely unnecessary in this TAS. Thankfully, Gibson saved after every level so it's pretty easy to see how this route compares along the way, adjusting for imperfections.
I've already TAS'd Tornado Man and found around 15 seconds of improvement in that stage alone. But there's a frame rule with the platforms near the end of the level that erases all of that. Having the rush jet there will allows us to keep those frames as well as save a lot more.
Yup. I will start Magma man if you haven't already did it after Tuesday, I have some big tests monday and tuesday

^At 0:47 why do you fall pushing against the wall? Doesn’t that hinder your acceleration?
I think Megaman has a stable speed (almost, except when staring from start), so that means blocking in a wall still put your max speed directly, it's like turning left/right, it still gives you correct speed.

Improved the Concrete Man fight, looks good I think(?). I'm losing 17 frames here, 10 frames because of the R.Coil calls Rush first before being able to shoot, the 7 frames are to manipulate RNG :p
