Nahoc, Wootz. That's a Yes vote right there. Broke any game rule and engine restriction for that. Awesome.

bkDJ, Actually, I was talking about the messages that appear when you get the 1st, 3rd, 8th, 30th, 50th and 70th stars. I know that getting the 70th star out of a level (from Toad) does trigger the message about the staircase. What happens if I have 7 stars, get the 100 coin star and any other star in the same level, which puts me at 9 stars. Do I get a message after I leave the level? Can I get two stars at once to skip any of the messages about the castle?

What happens if you go from 7 stars to 9 stars? Does the game still display the message about facing Bowser? 29 to 31? 49 to 51? 69 to 71?

Sonic Team and Team Rose areas are the same, except that Team Rose's levels are shorter in terms of length. Enemies weaker? Team Chaotix has differing goals from any other team. Team Dark's levels are the same as Sonic Team's, except there are more/stronger enemies.

From youtube on the "Anti Piracy" methods in the game:
the problems are: - It erases eggs from your Atlas randomly - It locks special characters on their levels again (which means that you "never beat" the penguin, sheila's, or the monkey's levels, therefore, it also erases any areas you might have beaten with them). - For the problem stated above, you beat world 1, 2 and 3, and when you get to Midnight Mountain, the game blocks you from going to world 2 and 3 - At the end of the game, it puts you back on ZERO

After the last two or three submissions, this one is kinda tame. No major bug abuse. Just manipulation. Though, it's still so fast.

W. T. F?! You did something bad to the game. Pokemon Yellow was weird but this is what "Glitching" really looks like. Nothing makes sense. Nothing has to. It was all a dream.

You can not comprehend the true form of the TAS.

Supper, The only valid entry into the boss area for Lava Powerhouse is though the steam arena. The Machine boss area could be entered though animal prison, but I don't think Sonic can get enough velocity to enter from the bottom. There is no way into Showdown's boss with out all 5 emeralds first. Even if you try and break the glass on the sides.

Sir VG, I have something like this at my repair shop. Any USB device won't work. It seems like a device (a USB mouse) gets power for about 1/2 second then there is no power going to the device. Not sure why though.

It's considered bad to use the E ROM instead of the U or J ROM.

Will this get Genesis support? Gens doesn't like Windows Aero and having an emulator that does, would be welcome.

the "two exploits that allowed players to gain minerals very quickly" (how?)
Normally, a base (Terran Command Center, Zerg Hive, Protoss Nexus) have to be built away from minerals and gas geysers. You can see this by trying to build a base near minerals. Your build blueprint should show red in the invalid areas. The recent SDA run for Terran shows how to use the sliding building glitch to get that base very close to the minerals. This allows the harvesting units (SCV, Drone, Probe) to move back and forth very quickly. Thus getting lots of minerals fast.

but no version 1.1 issues with the WADs
What version 1.1 issues?
When a WAD file has an issue, Nintendo releases a fix for it. Those are 1.1 WAD files. Cave Story had something like that for Wii.

I think we're probably closer to having the Zelda Collector's Edition disc run well on Dolphin than having that improved N64 emulator. Actually, does anyone know much about that version of Majora's Mask? Would that possibly be easier for TASing?
I think SDA and the recent non-TAS runs have been on the Virtual Console version of the game and not the Collector's Edition for Gamecube. I don't know if there's multiple versions of the Virtual Console WAD file. Edit: Checked and there is a J, a U and an E files but no version 1.1 issues with the WADs. What version of the game was used in the WAD itself?
