Is the Fl dor you pick up in the water temple(?) around 190K really the most efficient path? Does the item shop you pass right by in the town sell them? You fight two extra fights here to grab it, that's a lot of frames. There's added XP, gold, and one card, but you obviously don't need the first two desperately since you run away from a fight around 204K.
this one's tricky. In order to accomplish what I need, I need at leat 1300 gold (I sell the pro ball and the short boots). Not picking it up would mean more fighting inside the caves...
Also in general, you should ALWAYS be trying to grab cards when you're in areas where you can
that's what I do. However, since I try to limit enemy action, I sometime skip such battles. Also, getting +5 can be really hard.
I'm liekly to do antoher run. I don't need high bottles, and Midia doesn't need all that magic

Yes, the game could still be improved.
I'm thinking about fishing for the Emperor sword. This way, no need to heal ryu's MP; I would only need a shot of attack up...
Can "ordinary" baits fish it up? If so, I think I can buy it in Tunlan before getting patty back. if not, I might get gold from rand's town

this is it! However, it still needs improvment
- I don't need that extra set of high bottles (hell, I only need one set of giga bottles!)
- I should only fight when enemy moves are minimized (first strike, mainly)
- I could try to get more cards
- I might not need all that equipment
- Midia doesn't need that much strength, and neither does Chenzi (I might aim at 5 instead of 6)
- Other suggestions?

the right ladder doesn't go all the way up, actually.
also, I had to restart; I jsut noticed I don't need that Home door in Magic school. Also, I will check very carefully if my magic gets me more affinity

this is it! A few changes that need to be done
- I don't need that many armours and defense gears. mercenaries can usually take the hit; Midia and Chenzi can be at the back
- I have to find the ideal mercenaries. I have to save time there
- I actually don't need that much affinity to do a lot of damage wiht Spirit. I must find more cards/manipulate the dropping
- I have to find a way to reduce the number of fights. Pro balls could be a way. and as tristal suggested : i have to find an optimal group of enemy

Enemy patterns. For each area, there is going to be an 'ideal' enemy setup, generally the one that gives you the most XP in the least time. I notice you often fight many different layouts in an area, I wonder if this can be improved.
I usually go for the strike first. but yes, what I strike first could be manipulated
I wonder if you couldn't use your most powerful spells first, in order to kill some enemies faster
but then, my affinities with other spells wouldn't be as high. I'm thinking about manipulating the dropping of cards...
I think it'd be worth it to sacrifice an extra frame or two to try and manipulate this.
