Yes I will edit : How are we suppose to complete level 2-8 quickly without using the 100-balls power-up ? I mean we already need some power-ups for 2-3 & 2-5 but the 100-balls power-up is NECESSARY in 2-8 and there are not enough MP to purchase power-ups in all these 3 levels.

In fact, there is 4 more possible ball-paddle interactions : 7/8/9. Bounce Left/Right extreme diagonal while moving same direction that the ball at slow speed - If the ball is moving left, you will get 2 new angles with the Left extreme diagonal and 1 with the Right extreme diagonal. 10. Bounce Left/Right extreme diagonal while moving opposite direction that the ball at slow speed - If the ball is moving left, you will get the new angle with the Left extreme diagonal.

+00,2? Used ball or not
+02,2? Alter if the last thing the ball hit was you or a ceiling
+04,2? Ball physical power-up (giant ball, fire ball)
+06,2u Angle
+08,2? A different value with a fire ball
+0A,2u Fire ball or not
+0C,2? Some variations if it's a giant ball

+9C,2s Countdown timer to throw the ball
+9E,2s Countdown timer
+A0,2s Increase by 29 (1D) each time +9E reach 0 (it seems it increase the ball velocity)
+A2,2? Last wall the ball hit (up, left or right)
Address from 0x0011322C to 0x00113280 seems to contain some useful informations like the number of balls or the number of crystals to destroy

I suggest we start with world 2, so we will not spending more time with the route planning.

I think the reason for so much MP coming out of level 2-1 is due to the number of power ups. I was planning on testing that tonight.
address : 0011300C Basically, in a TAS, the number of MP you win is close to the number of "crystals" you must destroy (since you always make combos in a TAS).

I think that world 2 is a really bad starting choice since (in my opinion) there is a lot of levels that will need MP and these levels don't give a good amount of them. World 4 seems to be perfect to start, because 7 or 8 of these levels already have useful items to complete them fast (giant ball, multi-ball, double ball, ...)

I am interested by this game and this contest. But I am not sure that start with world 1 is the best choice, since you will not be able to purchase an useful item in levels 1-3 AND 1-4 , so it will cost some time (since these levels can't release any useful item).

I didn't know this glitch, but it seems that this high height is due to the edge and nothing else. I think that right before you jump, this edge gave to Spyro an abnormal incline, and so the jump send Spyro higher than it should.

Jump against a wall don't really make you jump higher (you can only if you jump close to a curved wall, like I did in Twilight Harbor). The jump at 23m40s needs frame perfection since you can't reach the other side in a straight line (you need to turn left at the very end of the jump) or a better speed (you can try to start your charge attack while you are in the air, it will increase your supercharge speed a little bit). Many flying glitches requires frame perfection. I think the only ones that a non-TAS can reproduce (because you only need to not lose height) are the ones in Artisans Homeworld and Twilight Harbor.

The Adventures of Lomax is a spin-off of the Lemmings series. It contains good music and graphic but also an insane difficulty (mainly due to bad hit-box detections). Here is a WIP of the first two levels (Youtube). The two main difficulties are the managements of the bridge building ability and lemmings. Bridge building ability can be use to reach inaccessible (with your normal jump) places, but you can only use it 5 times between each refill and these refills are not common. The other problem is the lemmings rescue. Each time that you rescue 50 of them, the level exit send you to a bonus round, and this cost between 5 and 10 seconds. That's why I must try to kill the fewer enemies I can (for this reason, I will maybe have to redo the first level, but the game seems to be hex-editing friendly).

If you look closely, you will see that I get his gem (the green gem became a two, but you can also count all the gems I got after the 26th dragon).

Je n'y connais pas grand chose en encodage mais je suis sûr que quelqu'un ici pourra t'aider, par contre ça serait bien de préciser l'émulateur que tu utilises (et le jeu aussi tant qu'à faire).

I must wait that the last blue gem reach the ground since Sparx can't take gems in the air.

The two glitches are old. As Torn said, the OOB glitch in aquaria tower can be use to rescue the 6th baby and get the orb. And yes, Torn is the main TASer for the moment, I think I will help him once my Spyro 1 TAS will be finish, but there is still a lot of work to do before this.

Thanks that would really be appreciated. I figured it was already found but I couldn't find a video of it, that's why I didn't say it was new or something :P ... I'm currently at 6835 rerecords and I'm not even 2 minutes into the actual playing, so it'll take a while before I even finish Glimmer up. Also, I was thinking for summer forest to postpone collection a few gems until after we were to come back from Autumn Plains. As for a small (undetailed) explanation it'd be like (say I'm just now coming out of Glimmer) get the gems that are to the right of Spyro and circle around. I'm pretty sure that it'd be faster to charge down the steps and get all of the gems in the room where if you fail hunter shows up, and then to get back up use the whirlwind. As you exit that room, ignore the gem on the left (should be a red gem) because we can get that coming back from Autumn Plains. It'd be good to get all gems except for that one in this area, as for the gems in the water, I'll have to see a route for it to be split up with since we're going there 2 times. As for the rest of the gems, they'll be split up going along with the route you proposed like a year ago. I think the next few months will be spent on just this bit, so nothing to worry about on the Winter Tundra until I/we get there.
I partly understood that wall of text ;) I have a little bit of a route for Summer Forest - after getting Hunter's orb, then gliding over to the other orb, like you discussed a year ago, you can go through the cave backwards getting the gems, and once out, use this swimming glitch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bhvwD0I1Ac Which could make some gem collecting a bit easier before entering the next level, and/or possibly be used to get orb above sunny beach and hurricos without having to climb (even with climb while backtracking to Sunny Beach would be quite slow?) Also, I have a possible idea to skip climbing in Sunny Beach - I'm downloading a NTSC-U ROM right now, just checking you're using NTSC-U too?
I really don't see how to skip climbing in Sunny Beach since there is no way to swim in the air in this level (or maybe you have an idea how to) and the ladder is just too high to reach it with double jump. Our last hope is a proxy jump, but it's a very situational glitch (maybe we can make one with a turtle ?). About Summer Forest, the route should be : Colossus (get all gems in the way) Purchase swiming Hunter's orb Gliding to the other orb Swiming in the air (the one that Hutch show) Crush All Autumn Plains levels up to Magma Cone (speak with Professor so he will open the door) and purchase climbing (so there should be Icy Speedway and Shady Oasis left) Return to Summer Forest Idol Springs Hurricos Sunny Beach Speedway Aquaria Towers Go to Autumn Plains (since you speak with Professor, it will send you at the Gulp door) Icy Speedway The 2 Autumn Plains orb (suicide after that) Shady Oasis Gulp

Intéressant de voir qu'il y a plus de francophones venant du Québec que de France, je ne pensais pas. (ps : Je viens de France)

Since this egg doesn't want to hatch, you should exchange it for the last egg of Crystal Islands. About your WIP, you should have get the 3 gems at 2:33 while the door was close, and you should have speak to Hunter before going to Cloud Spires because it will save a lot of time.

So unlikely that I didn't notice this mistake... I have tried to hex-edit to fix it but it didn't work, and I am not going to redo the 8 last minutes to save 5 gems...

No way to end the inputs at the Ultimecia-Griever battle ? I mean beat this form with Irvine's limit break (end of inputs), but beat the last form with Squall's limit break (she should have less than 20.000 LP after that) and leave the rest of the battle to Rinoa's Angel Wing. Also, Fast Ammo is slower than the Ammo you used ?
