Have you try this with PSXJin 2.0.2 and 2.0.1 ? Maybe it's an emulation glitch, because I have asked your question to some skill players and they don't know what happened.

You should post an accurate list of all eggs you are going to get, it will help a lot in the route planing

Why did you learn turbo for Quezacotl ? I mean the only place where (if I am not mistaking) we need to use a GF is the Granaldo fight, and Shiva is faster and give the same results. Moreover, you will learn the card ability with delay.

Isn't it faster to attack with Squall before Quistis at the start of the fight, because of the critical hit animation when Quistis attack Squall ?

It seems that you forget that they are some gems in the water for the high ledge orb, so the best route is -Collosus -purchase swim -Orb from Hunter -Orb on high ledge -gems in the water (after that you are at the start of Summer Forest) -gems out of water you don't get in the first passage -Idol Spring

No sound 0.4 , and NEVER, NEVER use fast foward But even with TAS plugin or MIDAS SPU, there was no desyncs when I did my run (maybe because it was on PCSX v0.1.2)

Sunny Beach 100% 15. Ocean Speedway 100% 16. Get Orb behind door 17. Aquaria Towers 100% 18. Return to Autumn Plains 19. Scorch 100% 20. Fracture Hills (All the gems in the high area) 21. Magma Cone 100% 22. Shady Oasis (All the gems in the road + the first orb) 23. Icy Speedway 100% 24. Get first Autumn Plains Orb 25. Zephyr 100% 26. Metro Speedway 100% 27. Since there are no news about this TAS, I began to make one and after 13219 frames of movie (3:40), I improved the last WIP by 842 frames (14s). Here is the WIP, 3 bombs disarmed. Around 510 frames of the improvement are made by exit the bombs puzzle earlier by pressing start at an exact frame, this save around 170 frames each time.

As I said, I start to speak with Moneybags before getting the 401th gem. So if I had 1 less gem at this point, Moneybags would say "sorry but you are a poor dragon", even if I get the 400th gem into the discussion. About luck manipulation, it's about Gulp (since hunter can't really be manipulate in the Ripto battle). In the Gulp battle, you can manipulate separately two things : -Eggs position + Eggs hatching -Items Items are not "hard" to manipulate, but position + hatching of eggs are. For example, difference of time between the hatching of the same egg with two different luck manipulations can be more than 200 frames. Finally, don't forget that Gulp is not your friend, and he can destroy eggs/items which are in is way. About a 100% run, I don't ever consider making one alone, since it will be around a 2h run.

v0.0.3 (2008-09-15) * Possible workaround for desync issues. PCSX now works as FBA: each time you press "frame advance" it will advance until the next frame is drawn, which means you will see the frame counter jump two numbers or so after a single "frame advance" in most games
In my Spyro 2 TAS, my video ALWAYS desync at an exact frame when playing from the start, but not when I loaded my savestate After some tests, I discovered that the emulate frames became differents at this point (in red : frame when I press the X button) : When I wrote the movie / read the movie with the savestate : 62341-62343-62345-62347-62348-62350-62352-(...)-62386-62388-62390-62393-62395-62398 When I read the movie from the beginning : 62341-62343-62345-62346-62348-62350-62352-(...)-62387-62388-62390-62392-62394-62396 As you can see, a problem appear at frame 62345, and the consequence is that the X button is press 1 frame early, and I didn't see any post about this issue before

All the swim in the air glitches require an Out Of Bound, and Autumn Plains is know as a non-OOB level, so I don't think we will be able to swim in the air in this level... After some tests, the "sparx glitch" which appear in magma cone is an error with the sparx counter ( 6A248 ), when it go to -1, spyro will die, but with the glitch, he is warp and is counter is always to -1, so we can't do thing we are not able when we die (start, swim, eat butterflies, ...), so an useless glitch for a speedrun

Since one month, we can access to Ocean Speedway without any orb : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wz7gwqzFwo0 But with this speedway, we win 400 gems in around 2 minutes (loading screens...), and I am not convinced that it's a time saver., because we can get many gems in our way (for exemple : 54 gems in Crystal Glacier). Since we only need 1400 gems in the run, I think use the speedway is a bad idea.

I tried to make a lua script for some tests but I failed every time, so if someone can help me... here is the script I want : while (framecounter) < 100 do framecounter = 0 savestate while (address 197794) = 0 do (press the square button every frames) end loadstate (right button one frame then 2 frames without any button) end

I already know the route with headbash, it's like : Glimmer Idol Springs Collosus Swim Hurricos (2 orbs) Sunny Beach "Dehind a Door" orb Ocean Speedway (3 orbs need) Aquaria Towers Crush Crystal Glacier Skelos Badlands Breeze Harbour Skip Climb (and get the orb at the same time) Scorch Fracture Hills ("break the door" orb) Magma Cone Shady Oasis Icy Speedway (100 gems need) 2nd Automn Plains orb (+ 3x25 gems) Metro Speedway (6 orbs need) Zephyr Gulp Headbash Ripto cost of each speedways is around 2 minutes, but since many levels after the 3 first are very short, these 1100 gems are welcome
