I dunno if it's a bug, but I can't make AVIs with these latest releases. The image gets all messy. I though it was some codec problem, but it's not. I thought it was some VBA video setting, but I can make AVIs with the normal VBA (no re-recording). So, might be a bug.

I think that FreezeSMS is the best SMS emu, but I don't think it's open source...
And, why would anyone use analog sticks in a Master System??? You could use an ATARI controller to play that thing...
About the the emus, use the one which has the best compatibility (so it would allow more than only SMS games), memory viewer is desirable too.
DOS & Linux versions are welcome, but not required.
Meka seems to be the obvious choice, if it's possible to accomplish the task.

Besides that, everyone was used to it.
What seems to be irritating is the fact that the name change was decided by veteran users, because they think they don't need to ask the permission of anyone, because they're here for a long time and they are friends with the admin.

I was talking abut copying & pasting big input strings, and that's not possible with notepad, since it selects entire lines, and the VBX files have the frame number and the input value in the same line. Maybe it's possible with other text editors, but I'm not a writer or nothing like that, so I didn't know any.
I think the best way would be to mimic HexWorkshop, since it's our editor of choice.
