ok i have a problem recording i've looked back but couldnt find a topic related i can record just fine, but i just crashed for opening the debug window (xp just crashes for entering anythign in there...) now how do i properly resume recording? when i try to record, from now point, it will do so. but when i replay the file, it'll return an error "cant load this broken file" and start to play from the point i started recording after the restart. is this normal? do you have to make your speedvideo in one session? that would kind of defy the whole rerecording thing...

he lost the source, ouch that sucks i know you werent, but i was just curious if we were to expect any fixes/updates for the problems idea's i mentioned above... but i guess not, unless the debugger gives you that much power (which i doubt :p) ohwell

it seems to me like famtasia has a few running problems, at least in xp pro the mouse is, i think, emulated by the program, rather then letting windows do it (it wont do middle button mouse click). it will accept and process keystrokes, even if the window is not the active window. i also downloaded the .exe posted earlier here, for the 60 fps patch, but that one sucked hard. the mentioned adjusting time i have no problem with, but it continously tries to adjust speed, and acts very oddly and unresponsive... i discarded it and reverted back to the old version. also it kinda sux that you cant bind speed changes to a key :) i rather run some unavoidable cutscenes at 150% then 50% or 75%... ohwell btw is that project still being worked on? i noticed the last release was 2003'ish... oh right, i dont hate everything ;) i like that quicksave saves the recordpoint while recording, and the bind to restart from the last saved record point :)

say, i was just wondering, is the next bug known already? i know smb is ancient history, but i dont think its anything you would notice any time soon.... i didnt see any old smb topics so... whenever you are at stage x-4, playing chess with bowser, you have to jump over him on a switch to kill the bridge and put bowser in his hot tub. i remember that one time, i jumped over bowser, i waited so long that i accidentally timed the jump on the switch and bowser hitting me on the exact same time. so what happened was that i'd get hit (either killed or smaller), and bowser would still be defeated. the glitch here is that in the next level, if you were big, or had a flower before bowser hit you, you would APPEAR small, but would in fact be big or have a flower. any box that would spawn a powerup (mushroom/flower), would spawn a flower. you have to time this pretty precise, but its not very hard to do on the earlier levels... is this thing known? i can hardly believe it would be...

at some points i wonder either the UFO could be faster to clear one area, then the rest. but if memmory serves me well, the ufo disappears at the end of each level so that would kinda suck, unless you can get a double enemy at the beginning of the next level. i've been practicing with the emulator a bit and slowly getting the touch back. i wish there was a shortcut key to switch speeds from 100 to 50 to 10% fast, i couldnt find a way to bind them. is there a way to go frame by frame, and so to get the right power with the mix? at first glance it seemed as if the order of the skills were always the same, but then it appeared to change so you cant really rely on them i think. as for no damage, the hardest part to get no damage is at level 6 boss, vs that sword guy. i dont think i ever got him without taking damage :\ oh and sorry i did mean 6, not 7 :)

free? i dont see how that is relevant... press printscreen and save it in your favorite editor (paint if you must). he who's on a quest to claim rights to the jpg, gif, png or i think any fileformat at all, is wasting his time...

yea nice speedrun but it can be improved considerably by just being consistent with the endings (you tend to jump to 7 alot, in the beginning to 1 once). you also do loose some time here and there... i've never done this before, but i've played kirby .... ALOT on the nes. how much time difference would there have to be for me to be listed, and would a 100% speedrun (perhaps even no dmg taking) version also be listed? i still know the hard secrets, its amazing how much of this game came back to me by just watching the video... :edit ... hold that thought... i just got the emulator and a rom, and this is freaking hard :\ i cant get the right feeling for A B and select :\ also the emulator accepts keypresses even if its not the active window? thats no good :(

it was no accusation. and the items? are they just in the room like that? perhaps i'm just spoiled by the snes and n64 :p ,but i remember you'd have to finish the enemies first, then get the items, key map or whatever...

ok, but that didnt really answer my question :\ zelda for the nes has been years literally and i never was able to buy a copy back then, only rented it. do you get damage from your own bombs, and are items just tossed in the room like that, or is that a hack of some kind? i believe it is... and thats not meant offensive, just curious.

oh also, there seems to be alot of redundant fighting for no appearant reason (like, not all the enemies killed etc) in more then one occasion. if you're really going for seconds (and by what i read, you do), you should be able to save some time by not fighting unless its required to open a door or something...

hey just a quick question, i watched hte video, cool stuff i know about certain rules, i'm just curious about two things... the bombs, dont they do dmg to yourself? and certain quest items (keys, maps, etc) seem to linger visually in the game... anything up with that? i dont feel like reading 17 pages for this, sorry :) but cool stuff, i was quite amazed to see people actually still did this now. i kinda figured this was pre 2000 stuff :)
