Does the item crash for the cross do the most damage/frame? If not, you might want to look at Holy Water's crash; you regain movement much more quickly, from what I can tell. (And in Symphony of the Night, you can abuse a glitch in programming to reduce that time even more, but I don't know if that glitch exists in Dracula X.) I can only imagine what a pain this game is. It's slow enough to play at standard speed; it must feel like you're playing frame by frame when you're recording.

Do you have any idea how hard a 2-player run of this game would be? You'd be hitting 5 keys at any given time; the average keyboard won't hack it. And I'm not sure the home keys workaround will work if you're talking about that many keys in use at once. And my copy of the game de-synchs at Shredder, too. You probably used a mis-labelled copy, so the randomness factor's off, or something.

Out of curiosity, (and I know this is incredibly off-topic) is there a Playstation emulator with acceptable re-recording features? 'Cause I'd love to do a bare-bones run of Megaman X6 in less than an hour, and I know Final Fantasy Tactics has a huge following and has crazily abusable luck factors.

Well, I've been working on a speedrun of this game myself, but I've got the wrong version of the rom to compare videos. I haven't reached Mu, yet, so I don't know how well you're doing, but I have a sneaking suspiscion it's better than I am/would. I've got a cartridge copy of this game, by the way, and I got pretty good with it back in the day. On my run I've been trying to record at normal speed where I can get away with it, though that's admittedly only during conversations. Well, anyway, if I can find the right copy of the game I'll be sure to look through your run and give whatever advice might be useful.
