Thanks for the tip about waiting. It worked. I beat each map when the clock hit 0. I didn't notice that part last time I looked at that page. I got to map 23. I went through the door and got to 28. Also, the door from the sea horse boss went to 55. Do you know if there is anything that decides which final area you go to? It looks like the final area was of the same type of the one I was currently in from that too small sample.

In the 2nd to last map in the movie, why do you go past the 1st platform, over to the one near the 1-up? It looks like it would be faster to just take the first one up to the door. That you don't, I guess that it is not, but could you please explain it? For playing the game on my own, I have played through most of the easy routes and am now attempting the harder ones. I am stuck at 15 and 29. Does anyone have any hints? How do you get past that small ledge in 15? I am guessing that 29 is all about speed, which I don't quite have yet. Has anyone figured out where 28 is?

Thank you for introducing me to this fun game. It is similar to Sonic Crackers. (I can do some really tricky jumps in that game too) I bet that it will easily eat my whole weekend. That part with 3 1-ups trapped in ice in field 42 is insane. That takes you to an upside down version of the first map (43). Is there any way to go in the door that is right where you come out, or is it for decoration only? Does field 9 exist? It is also impressive that it can save many movies like that with only a 2KB SRAM.

I just watched the movie from http://tasvideos.org/movies.cgi?id=120 I enjoyed it and also noticed a number of things. Right before vile in the first Sigma area, you climb to the top of the ladder and wait for Zero and vile to talk. There is a bug that lets you skip this. When near the top of the ladder, jump off, then wall jump off of the side of the ladder to the wall, then wall jump to the other side of the room and fall into the door without touching the ground, which is what activates the sequence. I can make a ZSNES movie of this, if you like. A number of times in the movie, you use the storm eagle weapon, then wait for it to go forwards and kill the enemies when X's normal weapon would kill them faster so you would not have to wait. For fighting bosses, I noticed that you used very different strategies between the first and second encounter, usually with one being noticably faster. Since in making these movies, you know the immediate future, you should take advantage of that to make sure that the bosses get hit right when they become vulnerable. There was a similar comment earlier in the thread. For Boomer Kuwanger, your missile wanders around and wastes time, similarly, for Mandrill, the first time you do freeze, refreeze, but the second time, you do freeze, hit, refreeze. It is good to have variation, but not when it affects time. A place that could have been done a little differently is Armadillo. You could have had some shots above his head and he got hurt from the shot coming down, instead of shooting him directly. In many places, you choose to climb the ladder instead of wall jumping. Are you sure that way is faster? For a tools-assisted movie, it is odd to use invincibility that much. It seems to detract from the movie. Are you sure that you need to do that to save time? Thank you for making an entertaining movie!

I noticed that it says not to request movies on the NES forum, so I hope that this is the right place. (If not, then where?) Dragon Slayer 4 is a fun game that I used to play a lot. It has 5 playable characters and a different path for each to take. You can ride enemies around and 2 of the areas (the father's and the pet's) can be completed by other characters. It also has lots of items to collect and several places to collect them from. It should make it challenging to find a fast path and leave lots of room for optimization. It has some random factors, like where bats and fireballs spawn. The only major problem would be if the boss of the game works in the emulator you are using. Different emulators glitch out on him in different ways. Keela is beatable in FCEU. I don't know about the emulator that most people use to record these movies, however. Thank you and keep up the great work on all of those movies!
