Ho hum. Another generic "high difficulty" hack, and not a very good one either.
We have way more than enough SMB on the site as it is and this doesn't distinguish itself enough from the other runs to be worth publishing.
This earns a No from me.

Well, the idea of the central gameplay mechanic (taking control of others) seems interesting, but we only see it twice in the run. Apart from that it's a bog-standard platformer, which I don't find very interesting.
Therefore, meh.

TASes are and always will be best viewed by those most familiar with a game; it's not generally within the scope of a TAS for the average viewer to follow precisely what is going on (in my case, I expect quite the opposite - sheer unexpectedness and glitchiness is very entertaining in my books).
I am aware of the concept of longplays, which I think would be more suited to your viewing habits (they're much better suited to people less familiar with the games).

Speaking as somebody who cares little for sports generally, I haven't found many, if any, of the other sports playarounds to be interesting at all. ISSSD, on the other hand, seems to be just over the top enough to make it accessible to everyone (myself, oddly, included).

I haven't quite finished watching this yet; more comments when I have.
EDIT:
I have a notoriously short attention span, so it's very difficult to sit and watch a run of an RPG I haven't played before. This is no exception, and the long sequences of levelling up just make things worse. That having been said, it is obvious that there was a lot of planning that went into this, and it seems technically solid.
I give this a Meh.
(On a semi-unrelated note, the graphics are very good for SMS...)

I have no idea how this happened, or how I managed to miss it, but the torrent file has just been replaced with a one track file. Please redownload it.

People don't remember, say, 1368M as 1368M. They remember it as Taco and Kriole's (Super Metroid) run, especially in comparison to older runs in the same category. This means that people looking for a specific instance of a run will want to be able to see the author at a glance, so it must be in the file name.
EDIT: We've just brought up on IRC that it's probably a good idea to zero-pad the movie numbers, to wit:

I don't see why this was submitted. If the sole reason was that you were hoping to have someone encode it, you could just have easily posted over in the thread for the game, and I'm sure someone would have been happy to do it for you.

If I'm interpreting "this" correctly (posting of videos in old threads), this isn't something I view as a widespread problem (if people do consider it a problem, which it seems they do) and any action needing a moderator would be overkill at this point. Pointing out a location where a movie is hosted (whether that be streaming or a file mirror) or, better yet, uploading it oneself is itself useful (granted, that most recent link in the thread wasn't relevant to the publication, for what seems like the first time), and I think the publication thread is the most relevant place to post such links. If people disagree, the solution would be to start another thread altogether for that purpose (and arguably split offending posts from publications to later be merged there).

This run should be rejected immediately for using a bad dump.
In all seriousness, is there any reason we need a submission/publication/etc. of this nature in order to carry this out? It's a good idea to be able to mark publications as obsolete, but this approach is unnecessarily hackish. I'd adding an option into the code to just unilaterally mark movies obsolete.
