I think there is. If you're going for the 8 red coins, maybe you should consider to get 100 coins as well?! I think, this would be at least faster than the PSS star. Going to and opening the door (more than 7 seconds), jumping into the window (2 seconds?), running/jumping to the slide (3-4 seconds?) and the sliding (12.6 seconds). ahhh, I really don't know...

Especially because the intro is frickin' long and fast-forwarding is not as fast as in Snes. But the "kind-of-broken" sequence with the bucket looks really good :).

I know that I've been quiet for some time, but I'm watching every single WIP you submit. If I find something, I'll tell you... And as I said before: Try to improve everything! And obviously, you do!

Finally! I love GameBoy Mega Man runs. Especially when they are well-done like this one.

Uh oh, wait a minute. Could you have put in both puzzle pieces at the same time by pressing Z? Or do you have to wait until Bottles tells you about it?
Good point, I think it works before Bottles tells you about it. But TTC locked amazing. I didn't think that you could optimize the test run by nearly 30 seconds. The snake-fight was really cool!

What made Zeratul reveal at the first sunken colonie? Did I overlook an overlord or a spore colonie?

When I first discovered this site about a year ago I made myself familiar with the rules. If I remember correctly one sentence was/is that TASers want to create art. I don't know any movie on this site that could be called more art than this one. Just awesome!

I don't get it. Your previous WIPs worked perfectly for me and this one is now desynching in the first mission (yes, I deleted the save file). This doesn't make sense...

Have you tried re-downloading Mupen? Once, I had really heavy problems with lag and after a fresh download those problems disappeared.

Unfortunately it desynched for me after a couple of minutes although I used exactly the same settings. :( I don't know anything about the game, but so far the run looked funny and I enjoyed watching it. Because of the crappy college internet connection, I can't watch the youtube video.

I'm sorry, but this game just doesn't seem to have TAS potential. Especially the boss fights are extremely long and boring to watch (which is not your fault) and I was fast-forwarding a lot. Maybe you should pick another game. I won't vote because I don't know anything about this game.

Wow, this looks really fast-paced. I remember that this level was a really laggy one, especially when climbing to the top, but you just destroyed this level. Keep it up!

It worked absolutely fine for me. Now I'm looking forward to see a mission with some real fights. :)

I think I might want to see a short sample to see what TAS potential this (great) game has... I've never played it on a console. Only (heavily) on the pc.

This should be reason enough to at least try to improve the "already optimal" levels. As always, it looks pretty good and LL looks indeed more elegant.

Nope. You need to have gotten the King Whomp and the Fortress star to get the owl/bobomb.
I just tried it with a new game and you're right. Sorry! I'm looking forward to see this star without cannon/owl/fortress! Edit: Can't play your movie because you only uploaded the .m64 file, but not the .st file. Or am I too stupid?

AKA, I think you mean "Fall onto the caged island" star. "Shoot in to the wild blue" is a star you can get with a simple wall jump or with FODA's method. So here is what you can do: Get the "Shoot into the wild blue" star and reenter Whomp's Fortress. Select the "Shoot in to the wild blue" star, climb into the tree and the owl will appear.

When I eventually do V9, do people want me to try and paste in already optimal levels or play the entire game all over again?
How would you know, the levels are already optimal when you won't even try to improve it?

Yes, it is because you already have an account that started the game. But as far as I remember this is not allowed by the rules.

What kind of discussion is this? In my opinion, it's done when it's done and it doesn't really matter what's happening to other runs.

I have to agree, that the Squitter bonus level was extremely nice to watch. Overall really good looking WIP.
