Huh. I didn't think you'd be able to create another topic with the same title. Oh well. Time to vote for Cardboard again. 8D

Physics models that require a ludicrous amount of manipulation for optimal speed. Press right for one frame, A for the next frame, nothing for two frames, right for eight more frames (unless you touch the ground on frame six, in which case you'll need to backflip into circle jerk while fellating your keyboard) etc etc.

I'd reeeaaally like to give it to klmz for most wicked accomplishment in a first season, but I'm giving Cardboard the edge.

Toss up between hero and JXQ. But I think I shall go with JXQ.

I have to give my vote to adelikat, though I recognize Randil for being a champion of games nobody else thought to touch.

Cardboard, for the same reasons moozooh mentioned. Two fandoms at once, hooray!

Small-only SMW. A tough call, but Mario's gravity-defying physics-breaking ninja acrobatics win by a hair.

SMB, for obsoleting a run widely believed to be 'perfect'.

A tough one... all my Castlevania babies up there against Zero Mission. T_T Sorry, Nathan, Juste, Soma... I'll give it to Zero Mission.

Much as I love Gunstar Heroes to pieces, I'll stick with the Sonic vote.

I couldn't possibly vote for anything other than 0-star SM64.

I gotta vote for the game that lists its instant-death glitches in the manual as a 'feature'. This one's for you, Sonic. *pours a 40 on the highway*

I kinda wanted to give this to SMW small-only, but come on, four games at once!

XX has the better soundtrack over CV4, but my view of XX has been forever tainted from the day I picked up Chi no Rondo. XX could have just as easily been called Castlevania Spear Knight starring Spear Knight and the Spear Knight Brigade. Weaker level design, no Maria, nine out of ten enemies are a spear knight, no Maria, stupid bottomless pits while fighting Dracula, no Maria... At least CV4 has me cursing something other than, "if I see that damned spear knight ONE MORE TIME". Despite all that, there actually are times when I prefer XX's soundtrack over even Chi no Rondo's. Opposing Bloodlines, for example, I think sounds worlds better on SNES. ANYWHO, the 2D Castlevania series (be it sidescroller or Metroidvania) is still one of my great fandoms, and I'm more than happy to give my attention to a TAS of any game in the series. I give thee a Yes.

I feel like the only person alive that uses the numpad for action buttons. :/ Well, when I'm not using the nifty Saturn-style Vampire Chronicles controller, anyway.

Hee, internet terrorism. It could just be that it's 5AM and I'm still awake, but that made me laugh. Though I suppose if I had reason to be concerned about server load I would have the same opinion.

Nice improvement, technically and stylistically. I was wondering though, why did you kick the koopa into yourself in 1-6? I know you needed to be small to get under the spikes, but wouldn't it have been faster to duck-slide into it?
There isn't enough room to slide under. If you tried it, you wouldn't be able to clear the spikes, and would be instantly killed.

A definite improvement. I can see where most of the waiting around still present is essential, though I'm still not 100% convinced that the progression is optimal. This run is a little better at keeping attention spans up during the watch and wait segments, but there are still a couple instances left where Mario is just standing still, waiting for a Koopa to leisurely stroll across the screen. I know there's not a lot you can do about that, but any motion is good. It's a speed run, Mario should be impatient. I dunno. It's worth watching, but I'm thinking that Air was a better hack for this sort of thing. I'm glad you at least enjoy the work you've put into it, but if it has to be a Mario hack, I'd pick something with less waiting around (or at least an arena with more things to do while waiting around).
