Much like my response to the mouse question, I currently just use the keys on my laptop. My desktop, however, uses a black Logitech keyboard with more buttons than I'll ever use.

Technically, I do not currently use a mouse. My laptop has a touchpad, and I make do with that. I had a wireless mouse for the lappy, but if I ever used it in wireless mode, it would randomly interpret interference as mouse clicks and mouse wheel spins, so it was tossed. My desktop uses an older Logitech dual-optical mouse. The model no longer exists, but the optical sensors are laid out in a | / sort of configuration. It's rather spiffy, even if it doesn't really do anything for accuracy.

There's a little checkbox that says 'Disable HTML in this post', which is probably a good place to start. If X < Y && Y > Z do ( >'.')>

Leaving it plugged in and never cycling will do nothing to improve the life of the battery, you'll just slowly burn through the power cells, diminishing the maximum charge capacity. If you're really neurotic about preserving the battery, drain it as much as possible, unplug it, and store it away.

Yeah, it's from the best-selling Nintendo game of all-time. Edit: oh, where IN the game. It was one of the transformed kings, world 6, was it? I forget...

Thanks to Upthorn, I have 12. Turns out my initial guess was right for the cyclops, I just misspelled it like an idiot.

Ah, you are correct. May not even be from a game I've played then. :x

Going by his comment on '#4', no, he means the one above that.

I got 11. I know what the R with wings is from, just can't remember it at the moment. Same goes for the blue cyclops. No idea on the umbrella, or mutant Bub-looking thing. I have a feeling I should know what the fat king is from, but I can't place it... Edit: oh hey, I'm a vested member, now. :o

And stay away from budget CPUs. It's better to get a slower mid-range chip if you're on a budget than be screwed with the likes of a Celeron.

From what I gathered, his compilation video of glitches and oddities was stumbled upon by a TASer, who, familiar with the mechanics of the game, decided these tricks were impossible to replicate without the use of a cheat device and called him out on it. If it can't be replicated in Mupen, then it can't be replicated. It's either a hoax or a fault in emulation. The former is certainly the more likely of the two possibilities - especially considering the discrepancy in physics model handling would be far more readily apparent to be inaccurate to such a degree - but in either case, there's no point in banging your head into a wall trying to get somewhere when neither party will budge.

It's a combination of the oscillation of movement being so rapid, the variation between distance traveled in opposing frames being minute, and the movement being accompanied by character animation. The human brain likes to disregard a lot of information it takes in visually, and movements that subtle at 1/60th (and even 1/30th) of a second tend to just go unnoticed when placed against the whole.

Not every physics model will have position values at a subpixel level, but you'd find them the same way you'd find any other position value - searching memory addresses based on grid coordinates. If the position values allow for a greater resolution than what is displayed onscreen, then movement and placement are calculated at a subpixel level.

There's nothing inherently wrong with Acer, you just get what you paid for. I paid for a Celeron M, and that's exactly what I got out of it. $400 isn't bad for a notebook you only use for school. Though when it becomes your main computer... Yeah, rather wish I'd sprung for something decent. Get Dell, avoid Dell, get HP, avoid HP... really, the only brand I won't touch is Compaq. Everything else these days, you can pretty much go for whatever has the features you want in your price point at your own discretion. I went with Acer because it came with the OS installation disc in the box, no fighting with some customer service biscuit over it.

Since it truncates the summary if the line is too long, anyway, I'd sooner opt to let it truncate the original post and be done with it than take away or twist the meaning of the post. Edit: AutoSummary: Take the meaning. Useful! *snicker*

The latter. I liken it to using Babelfish to translate sentences to foreign languages and back for humor's sake. Edit: AutoSummary: I liken to using something to translate sentences. It's a neat toy and all, but it either takes away the intended meaning or makes the line unintelligible.

Having not watched the video, what is it that separates it from other whois tools, like this one?

The only thing here I approve of is a run without sequence breaking, but if you're going THAT far, why not do 100% and make the journey worthwhile? I don't want to be discouraging, because I'm always in favor of new Castlevania runs, but I can't approve of this one at all. If you do submit another run, I'd sooner suggest a 100% run with some heavy optimization in the way of movement.

It's not completely impossible to play in realtime, as I do remember beating it at some point long ago as a rental, but it's certainly not an intuitive game by any stretch. You really must have been bored to tackle this one, though. :( I'll give it a watch later when I'm not falling asleep, but I have to say, that's a significant amount of time to chop off.

MQ was released (or was it planned to be released and never made it?) for the 64DD originally. I'm fairly certain, though, that the MQ ROM was extracted from the Gamecube disc.
