I'll second the AVI request - I must not have the correct ROM or something, because all that movie does is pop up a dialog box with "He softly played the melody he learned from Lola. But nothing happened." three times.

I though only Bigbird could see him. I might be wrong about that though, its been forever since I've sat down and watched it.
However, I have to admit, if it were still on the air when I settle down and start a family of my own I definitely wouldn't mind watching it again with my kids. I wouldn't go overboard like some parents though.
But that's way down the road for me...

Claiming the tolerance video promoted a "homosexual agenda" is not the same as implying SpongeBob the character is gay. That's my point. He said what you said but the media reported it as "This guy thinks SpongeBob is gay." Very different assertions.
You're right, my bad. I was thinking of the whole Tinky Winky thing at the same time. Which is probably what everyone else in the media was doing. :)
This reminds me of that non-issue over SpongeBob Squarepants being "gay." It was all a distortion of someone's objection to a video using popular children's characters (like SpongeBob) to promote tolerance. Instead of challenging his objection to tolerance (which seems like an odd position to have these days), the media claimed he thought SpongeBob was gay.
Actually, he did. He claimed that the promotion of tolerance was a thinly-veiled pro-homosexual agenda. This is because he was a right-wing bible-thumping nutjob.
I'm not sure if this applies to the NES version of the game, as I've only played the PC version.
Anyway, you needed to have a party of eight characters, all of them alive, at the end, else you'd be kicked out of the abyss and have to start over.
That doesn't apply to the NES one. I still have an old VHS tape kicking around from when I beat the game with just the one guy in the party. It's very much -not- a speedrun though - I just used the HP-replenishing armor to heal myself. :D

The people that beat this game under 10 minutes really need to do the glitch on the real console otherwise I'm not really impressed by this. Because they are using a special feature on the emulator that makes them do this glitch which is really cheap.
