I'd also really like to see a run of this. If anyone does, you can skip that long intro thing by holding B during power up - dunno how well that works on an emulator though.
I remember that if you used a turbo controller, you could do a roll and twist at the same time on a flat horizontal surface like the first track, but if you try it normally you burn out.
I would also really love to see a timeattack of this game, since I was totally obsessed with it back in the day.
Well, you can't even get 1 of every item. There's that one point where you get the Swallow sword or whatever the armor was. You can't get both unless you play New Game+ and choose differently the second time through. But I'd still like to see this run anyway. Just saying.
All of them are simple to beat if you realize that you keep your frusionators between matches. If you can't beat one of the guys, just save up 5 or 6 of them, use them all in one round, and you win. They can't block them, and 2 of them will knock out even the bagel every time.
Having problems with this one - it desyncs during the final battle with Bowser. When he shoots out the second batch of Mechakoopas, Mario misses jumping on one of them and then walks into it and dies.
I tried futzing with the playback options and using different versions, but on all the other ones it desyncs and he dies on the third level - Mario misses one of his jumps and ends up drowning in the water.
Thanks in advance.
If the steps in the castle are slower than jumping off a ledge, you can save a couple frames in the room to the left of the boomerang - if you move over to the corner you can jump down instead of taking the steps.
Have you really tried this? I don't believe it's possible to jump there, the corner isn't far enough away from the stairs.
I just went and checked, and you're right. I must be thinking of some other area. Whoopsie.
I especially liked seeing a Moogle Charm-equipped Mog run alone and unaccosted through the entire final dungeon, his only fight being killing his statue boss in a single X-Magic'd Vanish-Doom.
I remember always doing that moogle charm trick whenever I played the last dungeon, mostly because my characters were so unbalanced in levels that I only had one party's worth who could actually fight. :D

Well, without breaking or seriously modifying your controller, none of the LEFT+RIGHT or UP+DOWN glitches are possible on the actual game hardware.
But did you mean playing at normal speed possibly on an emu, or on the actual hardware in a "legit" play of the game?
