Yay! And I'll try and write a Widget tricks page too if Bisqwit ever responds to my editor request email...

This would be a great test for TASers for lag minimization and glitch abuse. A test of patience and sanity...

My favourite Mega Brain quotes: "Hey! Have you found all the items?" "Hoo! Hoo! Wasting your MP is not a smart move!" and, of course, my favourite, "Do be do be do be do be do be do be do!"

Let's talk level endings for a second. The level map is U V W ? X Y Z \ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ / O P Q R S T \ /\ /\ /\ /\ / J K L M N \ /\ /\ /\ / F G H I \ /\ /\ / C D E \ /\ / A B and I think we should decide which ending and the path to said ending is the fastest. Currently my test WIP is aiming for the king ending (? symbol) going along the lines of ADHMR?. There is probably a faster way to get the "king" ending and I might do all the different endings with various TAS's just for fun. Anyway, for now I want to see which ending is fastest. EDIT: I'm sticking with the King ending for my test run, but I'm not sure it's the fastest.

Found a great level map text file, but still no strategy on how to beat Level 5 quickly. Any takers?

I'm changing to the Puzzle Mode for maximum score and time to make it more similar to the Tetrisphere run. It's gone great so far, 3 million after what, three levels?

I have the newest version of Mupen and it doesn't display Input Plugin settings anywhere, just Input Settings. What's wrong?

I think it's time to use Nitsuja's Virtual Controller.

First two levels have been redone, 2.55 on the first and 2.50 on the second. Here's a WIP. To answer your question: this game has a minimum amount of balls needed to complete it and then it goes randomly. So rapid-pausing won't work. EDIT: Working on the next two levels. Level 4's as 4.93 but the third level took almost 25 seconds. I seriously need some strat help.

Ever thought you could beat a Bust-A-Move level in less than 3 seconds? Now you know. A pretty straightforward game, this will be my next project. Level 3 is incomplete because of strategy issues which I hope can be resolved by the lovely people on this site. Here's my WIP so far. I have high hopes for this game being my first published submission.

I love this game and want to TAS it. I just want to check with the debuggers if the same properties in the gameboy games can apply with Pokemon Stadium.

My ROM of Paper Mario keeps flickering every other frame, other to another background or a black screen. I've tried everything to fix it and it's still not working. What's wrong?

Suggested screenshot for the published Widget page: It shows the game's bad sprites, glitchiness and resemblance to Rockman all in one stroke. I'll write a potential description when I feel like it :( Also yay my 150th post on teh site!!!!!!!1 *shuts up*

IMO the moon icon should be reserved for sleeper runs - TAS's that are great to watch but long and weird. There should be a brain buster (exploded brain) for movies like nitsuja's S3&K and adelikat's new Gradius.

Voting no because the run is boring and the sections where the game lags are laughable. Sorry mate, but keep on trucking!

I think I didn't jump high enough in my attempt and the alligator didn't load. Thanks CAD. Also, I just want to congratulate you on your great work with the v2 of Widget. I think this definitely deserves to get published. I don't think I can do sub-6 either, I'm going for 6:35 in my next run, mainly from little optimization tweaks and such that add up. 6:30 will only be possible if some new glitch shows up.

I fully expected my run to be beaten by four minutes because of the new glitches CAD found. Frankly I was disappointed this couldn't go sub-5.

Zurreco: Yes I was. My first Widget run got rejected. CAD: You misunderstand what I'm saying. I mean that slug within the first 400 frames, right here.

Okay, I've started redoing the run! For the first level I'm basically copying CAD's WIP frame by frame except for the parts he mentioned needed optimization. A quick question: was there some trick to not getting that second slug/caterpillar thing to load right at the start? I keep having to shoot him, costing 7 or 8 frames, even on the go.
