Man, Crusader of Centy came in right behind Chrono Trigger glitched for me. I feel bad for it.

Tough call between Adelikat and Cpadolf... they both have quantity and quality and variety, but I think I like cpadolf's game choice just a tiny bit better. Sorry delicatessen :\

The problem with your request is that you are thinking about your behavior in a vacuum. In reality, the site has many many users besides yourself, and if they all browsed the same way that you do, the server simply would not be able handle it. That is why there is this system in place to discourage that style of browsing. Do it one thing at a time, please, so that the server can handle the level of traffic from a large number of users.

Wait, so you intentionally made parts of this run look bad? To make some sort of protest or statement or something? Ok.

You are thinking of two different things, look at this:

Sorry for the double post, but i just want to say....SUB :54 FTW! In fact, The time is 0:53.53 according to the timers. Here is living, breating proof of it!
Actually, that's 0:53:53, the subseconds are 1/60, not 1/100. Also, I've been working on an improvement of my own. It's stalled at the moment, due to the collision anomalies in Marble Garden Zone causing me frustration. I was keeping it under wraps, but I'm posting a wip now so that you can get better results from your effort. In total, Angel Island 1 is around 30 frames faster than your wip in real time, but only 4 frames faster on the ingame timer.

when I say I could only stand to watch three minutes, I meant it. That means green hill zone.

I could only stand to watch about 3 minutes of this run. Without an in-depth understanding of the physics, I can't tell if I should wholly blame the game, or if there are obscenely poor stylistic choices involved here as well, but either way, this particular TAS does not seem acceptable for publication. Especially given the author's comment that he intentionally made parts look sloppy, which goes against the principal goal of TASing.

I think I'm going to have to give my vote on this one to Aglar, for producing entertaining runs of overlooked games.

In Options->Input, select "team player" for port 1. You will have to define keys for pads 1B and 1C. When Port 1 is set to Team Player, input display shows input from Pad 1, Pad 1B, and Pad 1C. Currently only those pads are recorded in movie files as well. In team player mode, Pad 1 will show as blue, Pad 1B will show as green, and pad 1C will show as red. In normal mode, Pad 1 will show as blue, and Pad 2 will show as orange. From your description, I cannot determine the exact problem you are having, but let me know if this helps.

Given that both players using the same character requires a cheat code and diminishes entertainment compared to two players using different characters, I would argue against this submission being published. However, I have not yet watched it, so I am not yet voting in the poll.

Alright, you seem to have all your bases covered. To be honest I can see why other people are finding it boring, but having played through the game myself a few years ago, I'm well impressed. Voting yes.

I have a couple of questions before I decide how to vote: 1) Is it really faster to get the levels for all of your summons? The bosses all go down pretty quickly, but the levels seem pretty out of the way. How much longer would each boss take if your summons were only at level 2 or 1? 2) What other summons (if any) are there in this game, and why don't you use them? 3) On the final boss, why don't you use the ball-of-fire summon at all? I'd think it'd be fastest to use that one until it dies, and then switch to ranged.

a TASer's mental process is likely to be tree-shaped. Try one path through a level, then with a different weapon equipped, then again hopping through it backward, and so on. Being able to not only store in memory, but visually represent each of the branches as one would use a version control system could be an interesting project for anyone inclined to take it up.
This is an idea I've been toying with for ages, but haven't been quite sure where to start in terms of getting work done on it -- the basic idea is that instead of having x slots for savestates, they're stored in a branching tree structure, and your hotkeys for dealing with them change from "previous slot/next slot/quicksave/quickload" to "previous branch/next branch/quicksave/skip back/skip forward" Though obviously a visual branching timeline display would be almost prerequisite for dealing with states in this manner.

SRAM is the memory that the game saves, for savegames. Like with RPGs and Sonic 3. It is not the same thing as a savestate, and not all games use it.

Not quite. I've just been terribly busy so progress has been at a crawl. I had planned to give up originally (quite stupidly) over the debate about keeping the flow. But later realized it was just common sense really.
Good news. I was worried that you had been dissuaded by my attempts to help. It is good to know that my intentions did not go so horribly awry.
