Indeed it should. and also, the "best ending" flag. I have just corrected this.

at first I thought that a movie about what happens to mario during ROM deterioration would be fun, But this was very poorly executed, and the "corrupt data" segments stretched on way, way, way too long It's a 15 minute movie, with about 2 minutes of actual content, less if you read fast.

I just watched the WIP and was surprisingly entertained by the use of creative and unintended solutions to some of the puzzles. In spite of the music.

In my latest submission I wrote that I think my movie is perfect: "Phil is arrogant" I think the site should be as informative as possible and not put jokes that no normal users can notice: "Phil is overabusing is power" The thing is that Bisqwit doesn't have the free time to moderate those guys. So because of that, the site is becoming more chaotic in every day.
The other possibility is that the people are correct about your behavior, although they overreact to it. There are jokes and inaccuracies in many movie descriptions, including descriptions of your own movies, furthermore, to prevent confusion JXQ provided a link to the source of "Bimmy". But you didn't like it, so you removed it. The correct course of action would have been to PM one of the people who made the description with your complaint, just as you have requested that people PM you before reverting it. The course of action you chose indicates that you view yourself as the absolute authority on what is best for the site, and that if you dislike something you are correct in modifying it, no matter how harmless it may be. That's what this whole thing is about. You don't ask permission of other people to do things that you demand they ask your permission before they do.

I believe that what JXQ is trying to say there is that you staying in this thread makes you look worse, and won't help your arguement. Furthermore, it gives people who are prone to insulting more fodder to use, because now you appear weak-willed for stating the intention to leave to leave, and then not leaving. PS: If this carries on between phil and JXQ + Fabian, I think a forum mod is going to have to split this arguement out into off-topic.

By my reckoning, it's happened twice just on this page of this thread.

It's sometimes easy to forget that in this community, especially when the rule of thumb is that the more a movie makes you go "WTF" the more publish-worthy it is.

Jesus christ! How did you even plan those routes? This is incredible. I thought the old glitched run was fast, but... wow. Amazing, double plus yes vote.

So this is why everyone in IRC was talking about the SDA HL2 run. I watched this last Saturday, and I was totally amazed. On the one hand, I have difficulty imagining a TAS being any more impressive, but on the other hand, one must wonder what sorts of new tricks a proper TAS would uncover. But anyway, very impressive work there.

I think this broke the ability for users with less than 500 posts to change their avatar at all. I just tried about 20 times to change the external avatar url, before eventually giving up and just overwriting my old one. The "delete image" button also seems to do nothing.

Gens rerecording was based on Gens 2.12 as of gens_movie_9 The new features in Gens 2.14 (don't know where 2.13 went) were implemented by myself, and were added to the rerecording version at the same time. They have since been improved in the rerecording version, (but not the other version, because I'm lazy). So basically, there's no reason to switch to the 2.14 source.

Is there any chance that there'll be a SMV to ZMV converter?
Sorry, that's going to be impossible.
For what reason? Edit: Oh, all ZMV movies have savestates, most SMVs don't.

The only way to make a game TAS proof is to make it so that TASing offers no advantage. Toribash is a good example of this -- the game is normally played in frame advance, replays can be paused and modified at any point. TASing has nothing additional to offer. All other kinds of suggestions that you get will simply make the game more frustrating or time-consuming to TAS properly, because once the TASer figures out the gimmick that's making his life difficult, he'll be able to work around it. And since dedicated TASers are often willing to disassemble games and follow the assembly code to discover the mechanisms behind things, you can assume that any method you choose will be transparent.

The quiz game wasn't very entertaining though. You should have made up a new rhythm with the right number of presses.
Actually, I kind of like it the way it is now, it just makes me laugh to see the guy sit there, and then all of a sudden press the buttons in the right order 43 times in under a second.

I just watched the WIP you posted earlier (ends at start of 5th remix) and I have to say that I'd prefer that you keep it as is, and that way we can hear all the tunes. If you started from SRAM with all the stuff unlocked, it would be a lot faster, but there wouldn't be much point in watching it -- it might show off all the minigame mechanics, but the point of these games is definitely the music, and there'd be a lot of that skipped.

The damage is a little entertaining, but it's not worth breaking the "takes no damage" category for. If you find places where damage can save time, then I'd be for it.

Phil is trying to say that if not for Genisto finding the faster time, no one else would've thought it was possible and even bother to try to recreate that time.
Because if Genisto hadn't first found that the time could be beaten, obviously Adelikat never would have tried. In the exact same way that Adelikat didn't try to beat any of the other times that Genisto han't found improvements on. Oh wait, or was it that Adelikat tried and succeeded at improving those times, even though he had no proof it would be possible beforehand?

Here's a feature request, which should be fairly simple to implement (for most formats anyway). It would be nice to be able to add a button press to a range of frames without losing the prior input data. Say for example that in a genesis game, you have a range of frames selected that goes A, B, C; and you want to add "down" to each of those frames. currently, changing the data in a selection results in 3 identical frames, ideally there would be an option for it to result in (vA,vB,vC). This request is from an old, but I haven't found anything that indicates that it's handled in the current one.
