http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/13771056719648641 It's Dodge 'em for the Atari 2600. I've been having terrible luck with getting it to sync, but I may have fixed it, I just want to make sure others can get it to sync too before I submit it. BizHawk 1.6.1 was used, and it synced for my downloads of 1.5.3 and 1.6.1a.

It syncs perfectly on the version of 1.6.0 that I have, and this is the same version I used to make my Kangaroo movie, and there were no desync issues there. I'll cancel the submission for now and see if I can fix everything.

Frame 377 is the first sign of the AI timing being off. It looks as though input exactly the same, though that requires going through the entire moving, so I'm not sure.

Ok, it desyncs for me on 1.6.0a. And I'm seeing the exact same thing, so I'm going to compare movies now to see exactly where it desyncs.

I found where it desyncs. About frame 383, the AI in my movie changes lanes, whereas your seems to just keep going. In case it's not there, be sure there's about 31 frames where the game hasn't started, there's no score counter, and it says I only have one life because at frame 32, I hit reset to begin, and at frame 80, the cars begin to move. [Mod edit: Removed ROM link] Here's the link for where I downloaded my ROM.

That was actually my doing as I found that I was able to complete the stage, but end input sooner, and I believe I read in the movie guidelines that judges don't want unneeded footage after input ends. But, I'll be sure to just show the full stages as normal with this next one. And actually you are right on the added levels. The second and third screens make the AI faster and then adds another car. Not sure if there's a 4th, though. EDIT: BizHawk 1.6.0

Ok, everyone, apparently there's more than just the first level. I'm still wondering about that screen shot, and if it desynced, but that's another problem for another day.

I really hope some kind of meta-frame war happens between me and him. Such a thing would be freaking beautiful :')

The list of potential emulators hasn't been updated in nearly a year and a half, and I've done a little testing with it and it seems to work fine for me. I haven't been able to test out if it syncs or not, but I can't see why it wouldn't. (I can give WIPs for people to test it out on theirs). I'd kill to TAS the PS2.

I congratulate you, and I actually feel good that someone obsoleted my first video. I'm incredibly curious to see what other bugs this and other Atari games have. All of my yes votes.

That was freaking awesome. I love the idea of using this and all of the TASing techniques to produce art. Sadly, I couldn't do anything like this, so I'll just continue my normal TASing lol

I didn't see a difficulty select. I can change that if I find it.

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/13502126110404395 My WIP of the first 2 episodes of N+. I feel like level 0-0 could use a lot of work, and there's a few little menu optimizations that I need to put in there, but anyway, thoughts, comments, cruel criticisms are welcome.

Eh, yeah, I guess that's true. It's weird to know that the TAS can't best the human in this instance O.o

I started work on a TAS of DDR on the PSX (I could only find a good ISO of the USA mix), and I looked on the site just in case anybody else had TASed the DDR games, and I saw it listed in the "List of Bad Game Choices". I've gotta ask, is the DDR series really that bad to TAS? I would imagine they'd be great entertainment if you get hard enough songs. Or maybe the PS versions just stink? I don't know; I've been having lots of fun so far making this run :p

Ok. I wasn't sure if this kind of password use was allowed or not, so I just sent it in. I did see in the submission rules that 1-level videos weren't allowed, but I knew I completed the game, so I wasn't sure.

I've been having trouble with Crash 3 lately. I use Psxjin, and every rom of Crash 3 I've downloaded has the same issue where certain sprites (enemies, etc) will be behind the terrain, or some things won't even show up. It's not THAT bad on a lot of the levels (it's just a little unpleasant sometimes to look at), but the water levels are practically unplayable as you can't see any of the enemies, certain things don't show up, boxes don't appear, and crash disappears from the screen altogether sometimes. Does anyone know how to fix this?
