Yeah, as Knuckles. By the way, S3Kglitches made a TAS of Carnival Night zone as Knuckles. He found a lot of useful shortcuts (though there can still be much more to discover, of course). I made a quick attempt at beating his times, just to see what it would look like. Here it is.

Been done before. Check me and LTRP's channel for some runs. I'm surprised you haven't played it. I came across it when the creator PM'd me in about 2012 saying he's almost done and I could TAS it. Now, in 2014, the creator PM'd me again saying it was done with and would enjoy if a TAS'd it. Long story short; Great hack.

It's funny to see how he is loosing frames on every single spindash (at least as it sounds), but at the same time uses jump-climbing, which is just a little faster than regular way and not always saves any frames.
No, I don't know this guy, but he left a comment on my channel yesterday. And yeah, his runs are nice, he certainly can advance a lot.

Sonic 2 Pink Edition is a new hack by E-122-Psi, introducing ability to play as Amy and Cream together.
I’ve made a quick TAS of Emerald Hill 1 to check out this hack.

Wow, just wow, I’ve just improved 2 zones in my Amy@S3K any% TAS WIP
Marble Garden improved by ~ 10 seconds
Carnival Night 2 improved by ~ 45 seconds
Both improvement come from new shortcuts I found for Amy
I am really happy tonight :)

Still long way to go, but my recent progress in MGZ, CNZ and ICZ is a good sign. Given that LBZ is relatively easy (there is an almost-instant level-wrap for each act), the first half of the TAS is close to be done.

I’m glad that McBobX is learning about Sonic TAS,
But beleive me, his runs are still a bit raw to make impression.
And the worst thing is that he does not seem to let others point him at his mistakes (as his last submission shows).

I will quibble with the 'skipped' in MGZ2 and ICZ2; there are title cards for both levels and the timer runs for a bit in both of them. But it is looking solid.
Out of curiosity, is this Amy solo or Amy+Tails?

But I’m bad at playing 2 characters at once (though I actually can do it) — feeuzz is a lot better, but he doesn’t think he has enough experience with Amy to join this WIP. So he only helped me a bit.
Amyway, I’m not sure if I will submit the movie to TASvideos after finishing. I probably will, but I realize it can be rejected because the game is a hack. It’s mainly a project for my youtube channel, as many people know me as TASer of Amy. :)

I tried to to a 2P run of this hack as Amy+Tails (times ago), but i really did not match with Amy's abilities (seriously).

Of course you are, and Tasvideos accept hack's TAS according to the guidelines, but it have to be a "good" hack:
So, as it is written: "We don't allow hacks that only serve to change the looks of the original game." Amy is a pink hedgehog in this game, and every levels are the same =/
"Hacks must provide unique gameplay." Beleive me, Amy got a unique gameplay xD (i don't think you feel it like me)
So, 50% chance to be accepted.
I think if your optimization level is high it's worth trying. The worst thing that can happen is it's not accepted - if you're rejected for game choice it's not a black mark against you.

I’ve just tried using Tee-N-Tee’s new FBZ1 trick with Amy and succeeded to do the level-wrap; hovewer, I got slightly (less than a second) worse time than in my current attempt. So I’m not completely sure that it’s slower, need to make an attempt with better optimizations. It’s not easy to cause the underflow with that kind of speed, though, but if Tee-N-Tee can allow himself having 5-subpixel-wide window for the trick, why can’t I? ;)
By the way, even if I succeed to cause the X-underflow using Tee-N-Tee’s method some frames faster, it may still lead to a worse total time, because the camera will travel longer way to the boss.
(upd) nevermind, I’ve found a brand new level-wrap for Amy in this level, which is faster than both Tee-N-Tee’s and gamble5688’s methods (both of which also work fine for Amy). You’ll see it done as soon as the run is finished :)
