I really need help with this please, when I load a savestate while recording a movie it always tells me "movie recording stopped", how can I make it record? it's really urgent I just made a score thought to be impossible in AWDS and want to shock the community with a vid

First of all, what you posted about and what the thread title is about are two different things, unless I'm confusing something. So I'll give answers to both.

--> It's not possible for now to my knowledge. But you can select a .dsm (save file) which the movie starts with.

You need to use Read+write mode when you want to overwrite your progress and you need to use Read only when you want to rewatch a part of your progress (the loaded state must be from the current movie).

Usually by pressing Shift+8, if that doesn't toogle it, check the hotkeys, you could also change the keys to whatever you want
