About the run

I used snes9x-1.43 because snes9x-1.51 causes the game's graphics to blink. In the area 1, I gained two Looeys who have an ability to kick bombs and send them flying. I sacrificed some frames to gain items in the first two boss battles. To gain a Remote Control as quick as possible, I forwent the shortest route in the area 3. The movie ends before the final boss being beaten. Staying a certain place makes him suicide.

Thanks to...

  • Yoshimitsu, for his route planning and strategies.

Nach: Very nice, I was rather shocked to see how quickly some of the bosses were beaten. Accepting as first run for this game.
Nahoc: Will publish soon.

I meant it causes the graphics to blink in the title screen.

So it is gratuitous abuse of the starting invincibility period, the sequel?

Yes, but the period is quite short unlike the first Super Bomberman for SNES. It is hard to imitate the run for non-assisted player(s).

This is a pretty good run! It has some annoying bits, though. I didn't like how much the game slowed down during the invincibility explosions. The characters are also fairly slow for the first few levels. Even though this is the shortest Bomberman run we have, it feels longer. However, the stage variety is pretty cool, and the boss battles were excellent. I'd say this deserves a Yes vote.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

Hmm I forgot to mention but I think the bomber Woof fight maybe could be improved ? he got a small vulnerability period before the bomb explodes, maybe changing some strategye led you to destroy him in the moment it invulnerability wears off? also I noticed you had to do this to be able to pick some power-ups, so maybe it could be faster that way because of the other stages.

I had to collect items there. To save time in later stages, I needed to increasethe number of bombs I can lay at any time by one because I didn't have a Remote Control at the time.

This run is soooo cute. :D I also like how it was faster often to not nonstop blast thanks to the animals. Edit: Nahoc: It's been a couple of hours, what's doing? More people need to see this run. Oh, and you can publish it now.

Hmm would like to see a 100% version as well, would be nice to see how all stages/routes are choosen. I recommend as SS the last boss fight where the boss traps himself on the bombs, it happens twice, so one of them are good for ss in my opinion, also how about add low % completion as tag since it chooses the fastest route(?) in-game yet leaving plenty of the game untouched?

I added low % completion as a tag.
