Try: http://www.urban75.com/Mag/java7.html (use only one finger) The test kinda sucks because you have to push start before you can start clicking, so you lose some time. If you know a better test site, post it. This guy is supposedly the fastest button masher: http://www.gametrailers.com/user-movie/a-guy-hits-a-130-times-in/271597 Strangely, I got a better record first try. I got 161 in 10 seconds. I was thinking of posting this on the flash games thread first, but it's not a flash game.

Meh, I got an 86. But my mouse clicker finger isn't my button mashing finger on a controller, my thumb is.

Should have been designed to not be able to use the keyboard... I got 399, easily improveable. First test with only the mouse was 101 :/.

My button mashing got worse as I got older... I recently played Mario Party 5 with friends and got like 10 seconds on Will Flower whereas I could easily get 7 seconds a few years ago. TAS of Will Flower.

That's probably part of my problem. I'm 28 1/2 years old on the 15th this month. My fingers just don't have the dexterity they used to have anymore.

Gah, I can't get a good number with these laptop buttons. Rest assured I'll be back with a record-holding number next month...

Got 92 clicking the space bar. Using the mouse is bad, it moves as you click it.

Yes, that's Takahashi Meijin, and he's a legend for his button mashing skills. Using test sites, or indeed any kind of non-standardized controllers, for this kind of challenges is pointless, as it makes for uneven ground and untraceable abuse.

I did 120 for 2nd time. I press enter to start it and holding the mouse in my left hand (in the air) and do rapid "small-movement" mashing. (I type 650 chars/minute with 100% accuracy at http://speedtest.10-fast-fingers.com/ but I always stop for moments when I have to type extras (capital letter, accents etc). I also play JamLegend tapping at Legendary difficulty regularly. I don't have a camera so I can't record it IRL.

I can barely break 100 on my best attempt with this laptop. But since this is TASvideos.org, what's the best TAS (tool-assisted score) you can achieve? :D 399 was mentioned, but I took a crack at this with some clever manipulation, and got up to 458! I know you can just easily type a number in that field, so to belay the naysayers, here's a screen recording of the feat: Link to video Can anyone do better?

The "game" runs @ 100fps, the maximum score is 1000 unless you do a simple add() as fast as possible to do 13k or suspend the delay to do 65k etc.

How would you transfer that input to the game? I used xPadder to bind the mouse click to my turbo controller. Then I used shift-tab to highlight the start button with my mouse still on the clicker. Finally, I held the enter key to start the game and combine the enter key inputs with the turbo mouse clicks.

list of random tricks: javascript:init(); while (document.score != "0") { add(); }; --> will glitch hard javascript:init(); while (true) { add(); }; --> maximum score with huge lag insert add(); to function game() --> 1000 autohotkey script with proper delay --> 1000

Back when I used to play Mario Party 4, I could get ~152 presses in 10 seconds using that guy's "vibrating" method. Almost every semiserious gamer I know can vibrate like that, so it's comical he would claim to be the fastest with such poor execution of such a common method. I also had a different method using three fingers that could max out that particular minigame (160 was unfortunately the max) in roughly 7 seconds. There was another minigame on Mario Party 4 where you had to alternate the L and R buttons as fast as possible. My roommate in college at the time could actually vibrate both of his arms in opposition to each other, perfectly alternating while each hand was vibrating at roughly the speed shown by that "fastest" guy. I was never able to learn how to do that, and his record on that breath-holding minigame was unassailable.

Yeah, I used the vibrate method as well. I also remember a game in Mario Party that required spinning the N64 joystick in complete circles. The fastest to do that was to put the top of the joystick in the middle of your palm, and rotate it around. It was easy to spot Mario Party players by the blisters in the palms as a result. ><

His vibration amplitude is so high he fully hits and releases the button (you can both see it and hear it click), which is something I don't expect from you or any other semiserious gamers™. And keep in mind that 130 hits video was from 2007 or so. 160 he did before you were even born.

I know a couple of people who can vibrate at 15-17 taps/sec. They use their talent to play stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAzDa4nmtfM

My best try this morning was 117, but I'm going to try after a bowl of ice cream or a few beers or something and see what happens.

not bad, but I think that's average for a fast typer, I'm on the 620~ level myself I'm pretty sure I've seen a vid of a Mario Party player doing as much as 22 presses per second, but that's using a double-thumb technique nice vid Patashu I myself suck at button mashing, and hate the technique as a result :P edit: 80 first try in the mouse clicking, 1 finger, gonna try my supah-dupah double fingers technique now, though I can feel my mouse is a little broken 115 double fingers, I fail oh, I have a challenge: is anyony able to highlight a full sentence (triple-click) with the left-click mouse setting set to highest speed? (or something like that) I know since I've set it to max, I've never been able to do it (with 1 finger, that is)

Just shared additional info. Maybe I could do 700 but since I always have to stop for memorizing the new words, avoiding bad seed (capital letters, extra characters (I'm using hungarian keyboard layout))...

I have windows 7 and set the "Double-click speed" to the max (10) and I can easily triple click. You don't need to click as fast as possible.

Still no one who has beaten my record :P I hadn't considered myself to be especially good at it, but maybe i'm better than i thought. It could have been beginners luck too. I got like 120 when I tried once later.

I got 220 clicks with two fingers. Strangly enough I can't get even get half that score with one.

Holy crap, for some reason I didn't read your score. You must be better than you think, that's insane. I think I could probably break 140 with practice, but above 160 is insane.
