Episode 3 was ok, although I have to agree with DigibronyMLP (the youtube user) that the dialogue was not the best that we have seen. Too much needless repetition of the core plot points, too little actual natural dialogue between the characters. Other than that, I'm liking the season so far, putting aside the fact that I still don't like all this princesshood stuff, which seems a complete ass-pull from the part of the creators to sell more toys.

Yeah the less princess stuff the better and it's stupidly obvious that it was Hasbro that forced that. I still believe that you know what episode was originally meant to be different before Hasbro ordered them to shoehorn that in. Full geek mode Twilight as in this episode is much better Twilight. I almost didn't even mind her wings this time (and did notice the wingboner at discovering the library). If the episode that shan't be named had made any fucking sense and Twilight wouldn't have been made a princess, I would have no real issues with her wing status.

I'm more comfortable with the wings than I am with the humanity. I honestly don't see the big deal with the wings. >_>

It's not the wings that's the problem as such. It's how she supposedly got them I have issues with. And speaking of the humanity, I ended up finally watching Equestria Girls before starting on season 4. And all in all, I have to give it a resounding meh. Mostly copying what I already wrote about it elsewhere: It had its moments, but the premise was both ridiculous and wasted. The school setting was utterly superfluous, since Twilight never tried actually going to school, only learned how to be human, which was the most entertaining segment of the movie - then the plot got in the way. Uh, pun unintended. Human Pinkie Pie was best character, but generally the human counterparts were woefully underused. Twilight was also made out to be too much of a savior. The tie-in comic, which doesn't feature Twilight at all but the five others (as it's a prequel to the movie) does a much better job with the setting than the movie ever manages. And I was shaking my head throughout the entire climax of the movie. (srsly read the comics if you haven't. That goes for all of you.)

For me, I just can't forget about the season 3 finale, nor this whole made-up stuff about alicorns and princesses, but in addition to that, the wings also bother me somewhat. It just doesn't feel like Twilight anymore. She's a unicorn, and has been for three entire seasons. Unicorns don't fly, but they can do magic, and those are very defining characteristics. (In fact, I like the Sonic Rainboom episode especially because of how it emphasizes the limitations of unicorns and earth ponies in this respect.) This flying thing just doesn't suit her in my opinion. As a comparison, suppose that for example Applejack suddenly turned into a pegasus via some weird made-up ass-pull reason. It wouldn't be Applejack anymore. It would be somebody else entirely. The personality might still be there, but it would just not be the same. Same thing with Twilight. But granted, this is only a very minor annoyance. I can live with it.

Just 'cause I feel like it. There's one more, but most people pretend it never happened. It was much worse than any ol' wings and princesshood. (yes, the process of ascension was extremely contrived, but whatever the case was, it's happened, so let's move onto the future)

I know the G1 episodes The Glass Princess and Return of Tambelon aired alongside Tales, but which ones? Speaking of Twilight, there is G1 Twilight, and later in the same generation, there's also a Pegasus named Twilight. Coincidence? There's a G3 toy named Twilight Twinkle. And current generation, there's Twilight Sparkle, Twilight Velvet (her mom), and Twilight Sky (an earth pony stallion). Of course in EQG, Twilight has trouble getting comfortable in bed with her wings. Yeah, Hasbro recognized the wingboner. The Power Ponies episode will air on the Winter Solstice. Oh, all season 2 episode will air in production order on the Japanese dub. So that the episode Hearth's Warming Eve will air on Christmas Eve in Japan.

So is PikachuMan a person or a script that posts random pony-related information based on the last posts in the thread? In other news I wish I could find a consistent way to pull this off since it skips essentially the entire stage: (and then comes the horrible final boss but even so)

It's Optimus Primal from Beast Wars, who changed forms between seasons because Hasbro wanted to sell more toys, using explanations that didn't necassarily make sense. Like big explosions causing robots to mutate somehow. There's also the same character from Beast Machines, but we don't talk about that.

I am a real person. There are currently no updates for PonyKart. But don't fret, this is where the ROM hacking community comes into play. We can make a hack of Super Mario Kart with ponies, so we can make it look 20% cooler and cuter. Earth Ponies:
AJACK - APPLEJACK
PINKIE - PINKIE PIE
Pegasi:
RAINBOW - RAINBOW DASH
FSHY - FLUTTERSHY
Unicorns:
TWILIGHT - TWILIGHT SPARKLE
RARITY - RARITY
Alicorns:
CELESTIA - PRINCESSCELESTIA
LUNA - PRINCESS LUNA
The max track name length in pixels is 112. (104 if not counting the end number) APPLE CUP courses:

CANTERLOT 1
EVERFREE 1
BADLANDS 1
PONYVILLE 2

Season 3 is soon to air in Russia, and by 2015, they will see the return of "Lunnaya Pony". Choco Rei-Chan is a bit behind 'cause she took a 2 week break. She'll probably get Hearth's Warming Eve subbed by the new year. Not sure if Bushiroad would push Hearts and Hooves Day 2 or 3 weeks back (as in early February). I found a MLP forum that needs some love.

Minor spoilers of the fourth episode, I suppose. Using spoiler tags just to be on the safe side. When the bad guys attacked Daring Do's home, I was expecting the ending twist to be that it's all just staged with actors... some kind of role-playing that the writer engages in in order to get inspiration for the books, and that Do doesn't really exist. I don't know if to feel disappointed to be wrong or not... I'm not sure that Do really existing really fits the setting of the series.

That... was not a good episode. I think I'm going to pretend everything after the party was Rainbow Dash's fanfiction. Pinkie was the best part of the episode again. Her actually drawing the red line was a good gag.

I have to agree. Daring Do being real just somehow doesn't fit (which may be a bit strange to say from a show that has magical unicorns and flying pegasi, but even fantasy universes ought to be internally consistent to be enjoyable.) Since they will probably not bring up this again (or at most one episode later in the season will have something about it), it's easy to discard this as canon. As for Pinkie... has her role devolved in this season so far to a simple comic relief that delivers quick visual jokes but does not contribute in any significant way to the plot, unlike in many past episodes? Pinkie was eccentric in the past, but often she was either right (even though the others often doubted her), or at the very least useful.

Well, this season hasn't been going on for long and season 3 had both Too Many Pinkie Pies and Wonderbolts Academy where she was plot (or, well, subplot) driving so there's still a chance, but, yeah, I mean, we're never going to get a Pinkie episode as good as Party of One again. Hell, Party of One is constantly in the running for being my personal choice of best FiM episode ever, so we're simply never going to get an episode as good as Party of One again. Oh, and something that really bothered me with episode four was how Daring Do looked. In Rainbow's fantasy, it made perfect sense for Daring Do to be a straight up Rainbow Dash recolour, because she imagines herself as Daring Do. But the real Daring Do looking exactly like that? Yeah, of all the things in the episode, that's where I wasn't willing to suspend my disbelief any longer. This season is going to have to work harder. Also, another instance of a typewriter with only two big keys. Ponies confirmed for writing in binary.

To be honest, the episode wasn't that bad. Daring Do being real and an RD recolor is sort of stupid, I agree. But I really liked the "obsessive fan" part demonstrated by Twilight and Rainbow. All in all, season 4 so far is still better than almost all of season 3.

The part I liked the most in the episode was the reference to "excessive" fandom analysis of a work of fiction...

Magic Duel wants a word with you. Season 3 had four actual good episodes in total and Season 4 has so far had... I was going to say none, but I'll be kind and give it one for Castle Mane-ia. Daring Don't I seriously consider to be among the worst episodes in the whole series so far.

Everything last season except for Too Many Pinkies was forgettable at best. I just want another season 2 ;(. Though from what little previews and stuff I've seen I have hopes for S4 still.
