Oh god I love Pinkie Pie so much. I had a near constant smile on my face the entire episode.
Even the best player is limited by the speed of his fingers, or his mind's ability to control them. But what happens when speed is not a factor, when theory becomes reality?

The Apples to the Core song is awesome. So catchy and fun. Best S4 song so far in my opinion.

Choco Rei-Chan has her work cut out for her. Read It and Weep aired recently in Japan and all of Season 2's episode will air in production order there. Are you up for the Smile Song in Japanese that's less than two weeks away?

I'm trying to see some kind of pony figure at the place pointed by the red arrow, but I don't see anything.

How are we getting the latest episodes? Now that I am caught up with season 4 I need something better than http://www.dailymotion.com/. I think some episodes have been released that have not been uploaded there and YouTube is failing me too. L. Spiro

Well, that's one of those topics where everybody's doing it but nobody's talking about it... (very similarly to how everybody and their grandmother plays old console games on emulators, but we don't talk about where to get them.) I know I'm as guilty of this as anybody, but well...

I usually just wait until it's on Netflix, then have my nieces pester me into watching it.

I think Australia is on season 3... or it just ended. I don't have Boomerang anymore to check. So my method is (Not allowed to be stated because you should figure it out yourself)

I guess it’s my bad. But here in Japan movies come out no less than 6 months late (literally one of the items on the top-10 worst points of Japan in recent news—don’t give me that bullshit about translation times because I saw Casino Royale 1 week before its release in America while I was in Thailand, a story related to the girl in my profile picture) and dramas such as Breaking Bad are years late. I think Lost is just about to air on Japanese TV. And that is assuming it will be released in Japan at all, and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is one of those not slated for release in Japan ever at all, ever. Forever ever. Ever. I will continue to find my ways to watch, but although I might not be up to the latest episode, I am close enough to give my thoughts so far. I started watching because of this thread. At first I hated Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, and the hick accent of Apple Bloom annoyed the hell out of me (because I grew up with hicks in Kansas). Pinkie Pie was that cliche crazy character and Fluttershy came off as just trying to live up to her name. But in the end they did it all right. Pinkie Pie was cliche at first but she had some kind of twist that I hadn’t seen before. She was actually able to make me laugh, especially when she would pop out of nowhere with a “FOREVERRRRR”. Even when I knew what to expect from her, it was done in a way I didn’t expect and made me laugh. I knew what to expect when Fluttershy would breathe in to make a shout. I knew it would be a soft voice. But it was done right. It was soft, and with some kind of character I wouldn’t have thought to add had I done her voice. I knew what was coming every time she prepared to scream, be it falling off a cloud or cheering for Rainbow Dash, but every single time it got me because it was just done right. Apple Bloom’s voice still annoys me. But it falls into the background now. Speaking of voices, is that Q I hear? Why yes, it is John de Lancie from Star Trek: The Next Generation. And how awesome is it that he did the documentary on bronies? Speaking of shout-outs, Bulk Biceps comes off to me (no research done on my part) as an homage to Ren & Stimpy. Toned down for their target audience here but looks otherwise exactly like something you would see in Ren & Stimpy. And at the end of the day, everything is very well drawn. In admiration of their art style I have drawn some ponies at work while compiling. They are just doodles but I might scan some and post them. My final rating: Not only something I would recommend, but already have to a coworker. He will have to find his way to watch them, but he has a little girl and it is really perfect for him. L. Spiro

That's one of the things that they nailed. The art of previous-generations MLP is just hideously ugly. It's the kind of style that's supposed to be cute, but comes out as really ugly, approaching the bottom of the uncanny valley. With Friendship is Magic, however, they got it just right. The style is genuinely cute. I don't think the series would have got any kind of following if they had simply used a G3 style.
