I'm glad this thread exists, because I sure as heack wouldn't want to miss out on when a children's cartoon airs in a foreign country!
A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.

My keen senses detect some amount of unnecessary sarcasm in your post.

There are significantly more syllables than in the original song. Also the wrong parts are often stressed. Kind of annoying, really. Speaking of This Day Aria... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v38oWllJj-c

sigh. some episodes of certain dubs are being removed from Dailymotion... This is not right. Why is this happening. First YouTube, and now this? This is getting weird.

It's almost like Hasbro have an intellectual property to keep up or something.

It seems that at first Hasbro didn't mind their episodes being distributed, but in the last year or so they have got a lot more protective, for some reason. Either executive meddling, or they have changed their minds.

It'll be a few months for the Japanese dub of The Crystal Empire. As of now, they will show episodes of Best Selection. First being Welcome to Ponyville. Yes. They are showing repeats of the most spectacular episodes from seasons 1 and 2 in Japanese.

There is a new theme song for the rebroadcasts of the Japanese dub.

Is it shorter? Did they remove the stupid live-action stuff at the end? Will they show the episodes uncut?

Guys, I hate to say this, but the show got cancelled after 36 seasons. Reasons given: Spitfire stepped down as Captain of the Wonderbolts, The Mane Six and Shining Armor became Alicorns, overpopulation, Celestia and Luna are dead, Rainbow kills Gilda for revenge after Firefly's death, Spike is all grown up, The CMC have cutie marks, pending apocalypse, brought back old writers (George Arthur Bloom and M.A. Larson retire after writing their last stories of this show and altogether), The Everfree Forest was set ablaze, ponies migrating from other lands, IT'S MADNESS! Madness? THIS! IS! EQUESTRIA!!! But the good news? APRIL FOOLS! We're still in season 4, with 6 episodes left, we're expecting a great season finale since A Canterlot Wedding. There will be more episodes to come in season 5.

You are a day too late. Seriously, though, I have the nagging feeling that raising expectations by making a kind of season-length story arc ("what is in that box?") will only lead to disappointment when what's revealed is something meh. I could perfectly well be wrong (and I hope I will), but I'm not holding my breath. I just hope they don't repeat the disaster that was season 3 finale. Even a "meh" payoff would be a hundred times better than that.

They already sorta did a season length arc back in season 1.

Seeing as some spoiler images (link) show the mane 6 with changed colors, whatever is in the box will probably have something to do with that, I'm guessing. It will probably have some relation to "Rainbow Rocks" (the upcoming movie) too. And I highly disagree about Episode 65. I thought, even though Hasbro who want to sell toys greatly influenced what the series has become now, "Magical Mystery Cure" is one of my favourite episodes. Unfortunately I can't really tell you what I found so great about it other than that I liked the atmosphere in that episode, that they broke status quo, the songs (especially A True True Friend),... I think they kind of failed at how they handle the new Twilight in S4 though. She feels out of character in some places*. And some situations feel weird, for example in Episode 73 Rarity Takes Manehattan, when she asks for a taxi ride the commoners don't care. But in the S4 Opener, she would become Celestia's and Luna's replacement if they never appeared again. So is she important royalty or not? I liked the episode "Twilight Time" a lot though, that was probably the episode where I liked her character the most in S4. _____ * I think Pinkie is much more affected by this problem though.

The reasons why I and some others deeply dislike the episode were discussed in length somewhere in this thread (I could find the first post if you like.) It goes well beyond simply "Twilight is an alicorn now!" (although that in itself was quite bothersome, especially since it was a complete ass-pull.)

Most of the episodes of S4 seem to have been written as Twilight still being her old unicorn self. The fact that she's a princess, or the fact that she has wings and can fly, is completely ignored in those episodes, even in situations where it could have very well played a role. There's a fan hypothesis that the drafts of those episodes were actually originally intended for S3, but never materialized because the season was kind of cut short, so they were rehashed in S4. If this is indeed so, then they didn't bother trying to shove the new Twilight into them, and instead treat her as just the unicorn Twilight. Arguably, however, some of the episodes were very much intended for S4 (eg. most prominently the key episodes), yet still completely disregard the "alicorniness" of Twilight having any kind of relevance or effect on anything. She's still treated mostly as a regular unicorn. This makes me think that the ass-pull of MMC can be seen even in the writing of S4. Even the writers themselves don't know what to do with her anymore.

I would be interested in that, but I think there's not much more to say other than there's going to be people who liked MMC and people who didn't.

Well, it starts here, and subsequent posts. My own more in-depth thoughts are in this particular post.
